Amazing, so fun to watch! I'm looking to build these exact CD racks. any chance you can help me with that as far as the dimensions and what wood to get? thanks so much!
That's awesome. I love the cabinets, got me thinking. I don't have as much wall space, but then, I only have a fraction of cd's in my collection. Thanks for sharing.
I like the idea of a music library/museum! That's what I've gone for with my living room, a lot on display. Still would be nice to have a 100% music room, but having everything in one room is also nice. Though if I get too many albums for this room, I can do like you and make a music room (not for main listening.)
Beautiful setup, Brendan! Congrats on it all coming together. Those CD shelves would just barely hold my entire collection of about 3,000. Maybe one day I'll have a dedicated music room, but for now it's carefully "tetrised" in with my bedroom/office. Enjoy that room to the fullest!
Really enjoyed watching the progress on the room and this compilation is a nice touch at the end of it all, kinda like the Led Zeppelin Remasters you have in the background. Enjoy!
Looks great, I wish I could get the guys that built your cd shelves, I have the prefab ones from Best Buy or whatever, something about having your cds on display is special, even if you're the only one looking at them, just makes you feel good. Thanks for sharing.
Great job Brendon, use it well! I laughed when you said you were a floor sitter...I was the same way. I read a an article in the NY Times about how people born around 1980 or earlier grew up listening to music while sitting on the floor, while those born after 1980 grew up listening to music in an office chair or similar chair at a desk. This difference, due to the advent of personal computers, teenagers having desks with office chairs in their bedrooms and computer based music files. This may explain why you like floor sitting lol.
Great room Brendon,I did a similar thing about 2 years ago while I had time on my hands thanks to lockdown. It is a great feeling to have access to your entire collection and as you will agree re discovering gems from your past you had completely forgotten .My collection is not as big as yours, about 3 thousand vinyl and 4 thousand cds but it is so great to have the space available to do such a project. Enjoy your new room and like me keep on adding to your collection on a daily basis.
I am sure you are loving your new music room brendon. I also have a small shelf hung on a wall, in my bedroom, which I divided into the work area and the sleeping area. I also have my stereo here. I wish I designed my room a little bigger, have I known I would be growing old here at our home, I probably would have allotted a bigger room for myself. Have fun and keep the new music coming!
Congrats on the finished music room, hope your friends dig it too. You mentioned sitting on the floor, do you not sit in a chair at your speaker levels for optimum sound. I always sit with my ears level with my speakers & the speakers turned inward toward my seated position for maximum effect when listening. Perhaps it's all about preference, you do you & enjoy your room from where you may surveil part of your musical empire.
I really like that Journey platinum album! Looks like you're getting things set up very nicely and I know it's got to feel good to get the music room moving along and ready to enjoy the work you've done :-) Congratulations! Brian in Fort Worth 📞
Nicely done, sir! I loved watching your process! I'm in the process of building my CD shelves now. After looking for shelving options, I too decided to build custom for the space...though I'm only working with about 3000 CDs. Okay, got to get off youtube and get another coat of paint on the shelves.
That's very impressive, a nice music library. I'm curious about your listening equipment and your thoughts about sound quality. Maybe I missed out if you already done a video about it.
Looks beautiful! I just found your channel and I am in awe of your collection. Just a quick question, as a budding collector I need to know, how do you keep track your collection?
It’s all in my head. I don’t use any special way to keep track. But some people like to create an account with Discogs and scan their collection in so there is a record of it.
@@BrendonSnyder Amazing you can do that. I'm around 1100 cd's and most of what I pick up is from thrift stores. I found early on that needed help tracking. Been using one from CLZ but I'm not fond of software with an annual fee for usage. Thanks for the reply!

The room is fantastic. You’ll have many great listening hours there.
Congrats Brendon. The room looks great and your carpenter did an amazing job. Enjoy.....
Thanks! I’ll let him you you appreciate his work!
The benefits of living on your own! No spouses complaining lol!

I this case that’s so true! 👍

Thanks Tom! I’m fully enjoying it already!

The music room turned out great. You can be very proud of it. Wish I had one.

Hi Brendan, been awhile. Congrats on the new Music Room. It beats E. Harlem. Now that's A Music Collectors Room...
👍😃⭐. - Heather
Thanks Heather! Have a good weekend!
Great series. Loved following along!
Thank you! It was fun to share with everyone.
just GREAT!!!!

My speakers are positioned at my ear level when sitting on the floor. My bed is also lower to the floor than typical beds so it all works for me.
Pretty Awesome stuff

looks wonderful Brendon. Now if you have a certain mood, you can get the cd you like.
Looks great and congrats!
U could have some more cd units along the stairs on the other side of the ones already built that would look amazing
I considered that early on but didn’t want to close the space in. I like the open airy feel with the metal railing not being solid.
That's very impressive, a nice music library. I'm curious about your listening equipment and your thoughts about sound quality. Maybe I missed out if you already done a video about it.
looks you need more
space 😁👍
😂😂😂
Really cool
Thanks Anthony!

Nice! And now twhen you are buying more, will you put them in another room... ;)
mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
Now my question for you is: How did you finally wind up putting all your CDs A-Z or by genre?
where’s your stereo system? may we know what you’re using for music listening?
See link for a video when I bought my latest stereo ua-cam.com/video/sRn_ffY_VUw/v-deo.htmlsi=l5k1seVcr93A3waq
11k CDs... damn
Yep! 👍
I have to ask one question. Why did you cover the door to I guess your attic?
I have another door that accesses it from the bedroom..
But does it pass the Noodle Test!?
Noodle is indifferent since I took away the top and filled it with boxsets and he can’t sit on it now 😂😂😂😂
