Brandon, you're a freaking BEAST! Wow bro, simply wow! What a great job you did! And after being in the studio...wow...simply wow! Loss for words! What talent!!! What ability!!! Freaking one-man army!!!
Very nice. I think I'm going to be doing something similar here soon. Did you have to drill into the floor to attach the bottom sill plate for the wall studs?
@@brandongomez2925 I'm not sure that will work where I'm building. I think I'll have to put in a subfloor and screw the studs to that. Thanks for answering though! Your studio looks great.
Hi Bro, 01.did you drill the wall or the ceiling or even the floor for fixing the frames? Or can we do the wall & ceiling sound proof without actually damaging them? 02. How did you managed to build the partition brother? It also holds the see through Glass and the sound proofed door as well. Please lemme have a clarity as my owner has issues with damaging the space & am concerned about the perfection. Do help me bro.
Hi bro, yup, I went ahead and drilled holes into the walls and the ceiling. This was to insert the wall plugs and screws which would secure the frame. I wouldn't really recommend using alternatives like glue. If you ever decide to take it down in the future, all you need to do is remove the screws and wall plugs, then do a bit of plastering and painting, It will look just fine. As for the partition, I used a 12mm plasterboard with 60 grams of rockwool placed on it. I made sure to leave a one-foot gap between the two partition boards. A 6 inch gap would also do if you dont have enough space. It's important to ensure that the partition is securely attached to both the walls and the floor. I used a 1-inch thick plywood for the large tempered glass and as for the door I used a timber door frame. Just make sure that the frames are fastened well to the floor and the ceiling bro :)
Thanks Tayfun. For the flooring I only used a Pe foam below the laminate. I don't have much issues sound leaking from the floor. There's no tenant below me and the sound can't hear from outside the building as well. There's a walkway around the studio so the sound gets trap in between the studio walls and windows.
Hi bro, I built the frame accordingly and I had to hire someone else to install the glass window between the live room and control room since each glass weighs 120kg :)
Hi! the total cost came up to 10 grand Malaysian Ringgit. The live room is approximately 500 sqft, while the control room is around 192 sqft. The gap between the concrete and the new ceiling is about 1.5 feet, with the untreated distance from the ground to the concrete ceiling is 12 feet :)
The fact you did this alone is incredible.

Great job. How did you make the floor sound proofed. Did you have any issues sound leaking from the floors to outside environment?
