A am a mobile detailer and I think you should make another video on ways to explain your services, and different situations to customers because a lot of customers are ignorant and as a detailer, communication skills with customers is very important. So you should definitely make a video on tips regarding detailer communication and explanation skills for detailers new to the business.

I've been detailing on my days off and it's been going well I got a bit over 20 cars this month and I got 4 more booked for this weekend and just did my first mobile detail yesterday and also to add my own touch I'll take an edit about two or so really good pictures of each customers car it's turned out to work really well they all love that last step

Hi Im currently setting up my own mobile business.... Im from the UK but I have now relocated to Spain. in the UK we call the more basic services 'Valeting' but we also 'Detail' aswell which is more in depth cleaning.... ie paint correction, machine polish and sealant/wax with a full interior detail. A detail can also consist of a wheels off clean, where the wheels are removed and both sides thoroughly cleaned, Iron fall out used and then wheels waxed to seal them. I have pretty much already done everything you said as I have been planning for months but giving the customer a list of what was included in the service is a really nice touch.... I will be adding that to my service. Great informative video, Keep them coming buddy. I have liked and subscribed.

i have been so miserable at my job i have been working at for the past 8 years... i am and equipment operator and don't get me wrong... it can be a lot of fun... but i just honestly do not like it anymore and i have not liked it for a long time.. but i feel stuck... for the past month starting my own business has been running through my head and this is the exact thing i was thinking ..... a mobile auto detailing service...... i love cars and motorcycles and just plain anything with a motor! i always have and i have always enjoyed cleaning cars and just making them look nice and seeing the reactions to the people after i clean them.... it just makes me feel good.... there is no way i could just up at quit my job... i just have to many bills and i would loose everything if i just up and quit and tried to chase this dream.... so i am hoping that i can start it out as a hobby weekend kinda thing and if it gets bigger then i can take that leap.. thank you so much though for making this video.. i have been studying and just researching about stuff for a month now and i am honestly driving myself crazy but i have never felt so strong about something like this and i really have a feeling that it can actually succeed and work in the long run... i already got my name to :) and i feel its actually pretty catchy too haha :)

I just got my licence, I'm 17 and I applied for jobs at car washing businesses but had no luck. I love washing cars because I'm a neat freak, and I had the idea of washing and detailing people's cars from my home or mobile. I've got a high pressure hose, sponges, brushes etc. It could work!

Hardest thing I've ever done. Starting a business at 21 with loads of competitors around me. Hard work, dedication to my work, loving what I do and standing out from the crowd with my customers rewards system is what's gotten me to where I am. I definitely would like more customers as some weeks are slow. At the end of the day I'm still happy and very proud of my work and myself for taking that step. P.s sorry if this was hard to read as I'm slightly dyslexic. Makes marketing very hard.

@@grtu4252 i would love to open my own car wash since in my area, there isn't many detailing car washes. If everything goes according to plan, by next summer, I should have a car place.
@@christianjtlatelpa8562 just keep going at. Expect little to no business for periods. Its very hard mentally to keep motivated when that happens. Also standing out from the crowd really helps. That's why I started a customer rewards system. I'd recommend using something like that. It makes customers so happy when they save money. And they keep coming back. Another thing is organising regular people. I've got a few contacts with people that guarantee work every week. Good luck with it. Its an amazing business to be in.
I love detailing. I found the rag company recently and has opened a whole new side. ONR is the best thing I have ever found. I have been watching your videos like no other to improve. I have been detailing on weekends for a long time. The only problem I am experiencing is shoulder pain. I have terrible shoulder and back pain and wouldn’t be able to do this full time. Do you ever experience any pain doing it full time?

How many jobs should you take in a day and how do should you go about spacing your jobs so that you won’t arrive late. Because some clients will demand more than others. I came across your channel by searching videos of how to clean wheels/detail a Bmw and that was the very first video I watched. So do you run your own business then, is that your job? It is somewhat difficult to do a full detail here in Wisconsin because of the extreme cold temperatures other than washing the car at those quarter self wash stations. If the smells from the inside of the car don't go away even with the odor eliminator, check the cabin air filter. It may be full of bacteria. If it is, you should tell your customer to change it.

Hi Im currently setting up my own mobile business.... Im from the UK but I have now relocated to Spain. in the UK we call the more basic services 'Valeting' but we also 'Detail' aswell which is more in depth cleaning.... ie paint correction, machine polish and sealant/wax with a full interior detail. A detail can also consist of a wheels off clean, where the wheels are removed and both sides thoroughly cleaned, Iron fall out used and then wheels waxed to seal them. I have pretty much already done everything you said as I have been planning for months but giving the customer a list of what was included in the service is a really nice touch.... I will be adding that to my service.

i have been so miserable at my job i have been working at for the past 8 years... i am and equipment operator and don't get me wrong... it can be a lot of fun... but i just honestly do not like it anymore and i have not liked it for a long time.. but i feel stuck... for the past month starting my own business has been running through my head and this is the exact thing i was thinking ..... a mobile auto detailing service...... i love cars and motorcycles and just plain anything with a motor! i always have and i have always enjoyed cleaning cars and just making them look nice and seeing the reactions to the people after i clean them.... it just makes me feel good.... there is no way i could just up at quit my job... i just have to many bills and i would loose everything if i just up and quit and tried to chase this dream.... so i am hoping that i can start it out as a hobby weekend kinda thing and if it gets bigger then i can take that leap.. thank you so much though for making this video.. i have been studying and just researching about stuff for a month now and i am honestly driving myself crazy but i have never felt so strong about something like this and i really have a feeling that it can actually succeed and work in the long run... i already got my name to :) and i feel its actually pretty catchy too haha :)

I just got my licence, I'm 17 and I applied for jobs at car washing businesses but had no luck. I love washing cars because I'm a neat freak, and I had the idea of washing and detailing people's cars from my home or mobile. I've got a high pressure hose, sponges, brushes etc. It could work!
I think I've found what I wanna do as a career! Been stuck doing gardening for a while but I don't see much people as mobile car cleaners in my area so this could be a great opportunity for me! Thank you for all the information, I have written alot of it down

Hardest thing I've ever done. Starting a business at 21 with loads of competitors around me. Hard work, dedication to my work, loving what I do and standing out from the crowd with my customers rewards system is what's gotten me to where I am. I definitely would like more customers as some weeks are slow. At the end of the day I'm still happy and very proud of my work and myself for taking that step.
P.s sorry if this was hard to read as I'm slightly dyslexic. Makes marketing very hard.

@@christianjtlatelpa8562 about 8 months of saving money from my previous job. I was also advertising before I had actually established my business. So in short about 8 months of planning.
Money wise I spent about $2500. Its very low cost to start a detailing business. Barely any over heads.
@@grtu4252 i would love to open my own car wash since in my area, there isn't many detailing car washes. If everything goes according to plan, by next summer, I should have a car place.
@@christianjtlatelpa8562 just keep going at. Expect little to no business for periods. Its very hard mentally to keep motivated when that happens. Also standing out from the crowd really helps. That's why I started a customer rewards system. I'd recommend using something like that. It makes customers so happy when they save money. And they keep coming back. Another thing is organising regular people. I've got a few contacts with people that guarantee work every week. Good luck with it. Its an amazing business to be in.

I love detailing. I found the rag company recently and has opened a whole new side. ONR is the best thing I have ever found. I have been watching your videos like no other to improve. I have been detailing on weekends for a long time. The only problem I am experiencing is shoulder pain. I have terrible shoulder and back pain and wouldn’t be able to do this full time. Do you ever experience any pain doing it full time?

Good video, I've been stood down at work for at least 6 months and I've decided to give this a go, already registered a business name and ABN and started getting my equipment together. Didn't really think I need a generator but looks like I will. The professional appearance is a good tip.

@@PanTheOrganizer I saw your contribution to the "how to start a detailing business" video and noticed that you gave more information about supplies and came across more professional. in my unprofessional opinion, detailing videos on youtube should be aimed toward the "do it yourself" person that not only is interested in getting actual tools but maybe making something out of it. most of the other detail channels I've seen don't deliver the same type of niche value to the watcher. that's why I love your channel!
For example, @ChrisFix has a very successful format for youtube's general audience. You cant deny the views!
Do what you'd like to with the channel. what you have going is super amazing as well! its refreshing to see someone who loves making the videos almost as much as the work they do!

I’m not sure if you mention this in your other videos but my biggest question is scheduling. What’s the best way to schedule? How many jobs should you take in a day and how do should you go about spacing your jobs so that you won’t arrive late. Because some clients will demand more than others. Like a regular wash and/or a full detail. Thanks for your help! Very informative! I would love to talk to you as I have questions and I am interested in starting my own independent business.

I came across your channel by searching videos of how to clean wheels/detail a Bmw and that was the very first video I watched. So do you run your own business then, is that your job? It is somewhat difficult to do a full detail here in Wisconsin because of the extreme cold temperatures other than washing the car at those quarter self wash stations. Maybe my next house will have an insulated garage with a drain to be able to do a full detail? Good job dude!

If the smells from the inside of the car don't go away even with the odor eliminator, check the cabin air filter. It may be full of bacteria. If it is, you should tell your customer to change it.
