The fact that Colin spent time in Greece between seasons 1 and 2 should also be a sign of what's to come regarding the Eros story in Greek literature. Great Easter eggs!
I love how color always play a big role in Bridgerton, like Daphne (blue) mix with Simon (Red) and she wore purple as she in love with the Duke, same with Kate (Pink) with Anthony (Blue) she wore purple at the end episode of the series, and then Penelope (Yellow) with Colin (Blue), she wear green in the season 3.
okay now I understand that the yellow on her wasn’t her ideal color, but let’s not say that she was hideous. she still looks beautiful and yellow does not make her look ugly. It’s just not her prominent color.
I figurednall her colourful dresses in s1-2 was to show her as young and part of her family's kind of bad sense of dress. In s3 she matured and tries to break free of her family and that is shown in her change of colours and her hairstyle. And I agree she is not ugly in anything, but she was made in to a bit of a fem fatal in her new style, which suits her very well.
It's in the books that Lady Featherington dresses all her daughter in "bright happy colours" because she believes they will attract more suitors that way, and the girls have no control over what she chooses for them. This season she only allows Pen to choose her own clothes because she's already completely given up on her ever finding a match, so she doesn't care if she wears "depressing colours" anymore. If course the irony here is that we (and Pen) all realize that the new wardrobe is more likely to find her a husband. Even so, she had to spend her own money to buy it, and presumably she has a trunk full of new yellow dresses she hasn't worn since her mom bought them.
I love bees. I really do. I still think wearing a bee to acknowledge my father's tragic death by bee sting is weird. If Lord Bridgerton had died of gout would they wear swollen feet on their clothes? Sugar cubes mean diabetes? A pustule for small pox?
LOL! Yeah, having a reminder of the tragedy of their father’s untimely death in plain sight at all times seems a bit unnecessarily masochistic of the Bridgerton clan, but this appears to be their way of keeping thoughts of their father close, so I’ll allow it. :p
It sounds like wearing a bee 🐝 to have the Bridgertons remember their father is similar to but not as important as someone like myself who a Christian and I will wear a necklace with a cross on it, to remember my Savior, Jesus Christ… Just putting that out there…not saying it’s as important.
As much as I loved and appreciated all 4 seasons, there is one odd detail from season 1 that troubled me. The Prussian Prince gives Daphne an expensive necklace at the ball. Shortly after, she runs from the ball and into the garden before the Prince can propose to her. She takes off the necklace and puts it on a ledge. Simon comes out, and she soon she runs into the maze, with Simon following her. Neither one retrieves the necklace, which is never seen again, and no one ever asks about it. Did a groundskeeper discover it the next morning? Did he sell it or gift it to his wife? I guess we'll never know what became of that necklace.
9:00 also the aphrodite statues!! (The armless women if you didnt know♡) I think that is foreshadowing by using the Venus De Milo, its like showing that she(Pen) is missing...something. that piece being Colin...OR?...her freedom from her big secret, being lady Whistledown???
The facing guns are also in s2 opening. Which isn't necessarily an actual duel, but what it entails the constant clash of personalities between Kate and Anthony. After all, they don't get together until the very end. As for the checkered dance floor, the couple and the hands, well, those are part of the mythology of Bridgerton. After all, this series is about balls and more balls, and parties, so dancing is paramount. In s1 it was the candles for the "I burn for you" bit. But yeah, the series has an excellent design, with such attention to detail, it sometimes is overwhelming. And I'm here for it 😎
Colin, in season one, references "Leander swimming Abydos every night", after the scandle with Marina. In which Daphne responds, "He also drowns or so the story goes." In Greek mythology, Hero, virgin priestess of Aphrodite at Sestos, was seen at a festival by Leander of Abydos and they fell in love. Leander would swim the Hellespont every night to visit his lover Hero in Sestos, guided by a light from her tower. The story goes that one stormy night, the light went out, Leander drowned, and Hero threw herself into the water after seeing his body.
Fans of the books would literally storm the castle if Colin and Pen didn’t wind up together…Lord Debbling is fun for some drama but heads would roll if Colin and Pen didn’t wind up together
I think the Bee in first season it's an easter egg to tell us Anthony is next. Bees, are so meaningful to him and his book yes, it's how their father died but the only son with fobia of them is Anthony and it's a really important thing in his story with Kate. Then people started to asociate Bridgerton with bees and the rest is story 😊
one "ick" excuse me as much as I dislike Ancient Roman Empire for stealing and claiming Greek religion and customs as theirs... Psyche and her story with Amour/Eros is the original Roman mytho... same with goddess Flora that many mistake for the Roman name of Persephone when in reality she is Proserpine and Flora's "greek equivalent" wasn't a goddess but just a nymph, but yes... Due when the credits are due. AND well one may joke that chosing Amour and Psyche as symblism knowing that they were the invention of Ancient Roman Empire is deliberet to hint at the decay of The Great British Empire which some point with King George and Queen Charlotte losing the American colonies, or later losing India... or some may add "The royal blood discease" aka hemophilia that came with children of Queen Victoria (the granddaughter of George and Charlotte), that was a cause for among many things one of the Spanish heirs dying in 1920ish. Though now I don't know if it's me overthinking or the crew is really that into the detailing
I recognized half of these Easter before watching this video but I realized I’ve missed a few I noticed how Colin picked the yellow color in pall mall but I didn’t noticed about the number each siblings hit there ball through so this video is a big help! I knew about the names being alphabetically that was easy to tell As for the bee I didn’t know about that tell they showed the father dying flash back but there wasn’t any reference to bees in season 3 or did I miss that?
I honestly hope Pen would forget or set aside her love for Colin and start to focus on Debling, then Colin would realize his love for Pen then make her fall for him again 😁
I was hoping for this too. Would have actually given them a reason for creating the character in the first place. And given Pen some confidence and experience in seeing herself as a mature and desirable (in her own right) woman. Essentially the Debling 'romance' doesn't give her character any growth and she still has to be rescued by Colin. NOT how it happened in the book
Let’s be honest about the author who wrote a very problematic book series with a lot of repetition. Shondaland made it great but it was less than mediocre books
The fact that Colin spent time in Greece between seasons 1 and 2 should also be a sign of what's to come regarding the Eros story in Greek literature. Great Easter eggs!
Please explain?
We need a Greece symbols video about Bridgerton!
Wow that's actually such a good pickup!! Even in the new season Cressida says they are like "Eros and Psyche battling it out". Such a good analysis !!
According to the book he was in Cyprus not Greece
I love how color always play a big role in Bridgerton, like Daphne (blue) mix with Simon (Red) and she wore purple as she in love with the Duke, same with Kate (Pink) with Anthony (Blue) she wore purple at the end episode of the series, and then Penelope (Yellow) with Colin (Blue), she wear green in the season 3.
I love the way the costume designers use color theory on this show! ❤
Cressida's dialog in season 3 "Eros and psyche battling it out" woah the connection 😮😍
Indeed! She saw it I'm wondering if that's why she hasn't made a move on him since she first cse out
*came out
I appreciate the attention to detail. It seems the creators of the show love and obsess over it as much as the fans! Brilliant.
The Psyche and Venus reference is spectacular!!!
it will even be mentioned in season 3 ;)
it was not the Roman Venus but Eros, the Roman Amor
this compilation made it worth missing the Easter eggs. its like magic, its better to not know sometimes. and enjoy it as it comes
I thought i knew everything there is to know about S3, but this video proved otherwise.....👏👏
Very good catch with Eros and Psyche!!!!!!
okay now I understand that the yellow on her wasn’t her ideal color, but let’s not say that she was hideous. she still looks beautiful and yellow does not make her look ugly. It’s just not her prominent color.

Pen was absolutely stunning in emerald green!
Throughly enjoyed this video! Thank you for all the incredible content. I can’t wait for
season 3.
Wow the Psyche and Eros story really does fit so well with Pen and Colin
Just a heads up, Regée didn’t get recast because he didn’t want to return without his own character development.
Eating all this up while waiting for season 3 😂
Excellent video 👏👏! Loved 😊it! Thank you 😊
Thank you💖
I love bees. I really do. I still think wearing a bee to acknowledge my father's tragic death by bee sting is weird. If Lord Bridgerton had died of gout would they wear swollen feet on their clothes? Sugar cubes mean diabetes? A pustule for small pox?
I'm pretty sure the Bridgerton heraldry (like their coat of arms signifying their family line) is adorned with a bee. I could be wrong though.
LOL! Yeah, having a reminder of the tragedy of their father’s untimely death in plain sight at all times seems a bit unnecessarily masochistic of the Bridgerton clan, but this appears to be their way of keeping thoughts of their father close, so I’ll allow it. :p
@@MindiB I like the idea that bees gather nectar and help make more flowers.
LOL
It sounds like wearing a bee 🐝 to have the Bridgertons remember their father is similar to but not as important as someone like myself who a Christian and I will wear a necklace with a cross on it, to remember my Savior, Jesus Christ…
Just putting that out there…not saying it’s as important.
So what you're saying is I need to rewatch bridgerton again.... okay np
Love the video and the information in it - I didn't catch the details so thank you for them!
Also, 6 days to go for part 1!!
Wow! The attention to detail. I did notice while watching when Eloise talked about emeralds. But I didn’t tie it to S3. So Benedict’s story is next 😊

Sophia and Benedict could be my second favorite I can’t wait!!!
wow you were right abiut Eros and Psyche!
this was so fun to watch!! ty 🙏🥰
Thank you💖💖
Why is the bee watching them all in bed??
It's a voyeur bee
Maybe it has to do with their dad watching over them

You're saving me so much, you need to know!
💖💖
Wow, thanks for this!!
5:05 i really think that golda was talking about the title “sparkler” not “emerald of the season
Am I the only one who is shocked by Pall Mall teasing upcoming seasons? 😳
Fans of the books would literally storm the castle if Colin and Pen didn’t wind up together…Lord Debbling is fun for some drama but heads would roll if Colin and Pen didn’t wind up together
Abelha está até nas entrevistas de luke e nicola ❤
Waooo this is eye opener ❤❤
I watch all four episodes and have watched them twice and still I think I could find more things if I watched again

just a slight correction:
the name for venus (which is roman) in greek is aphrodite
0:28 damn she's beautiful
Colin looks like Violet's Father, while Benedict looks like Edmund.

I remember when benedict write list of siblings in interviews the youngest is Ines..
I think its funny that its often a bumblebee floofing around.. they dont sting, they burn.
I’d like to see my mini Schnauzer go head to head with Jade. The only thing he’s ever turned down is fresh herbs. 😅
I agree they need to recast Simon.
just finished watching season 3 of Bridgerton 😊

I'm confused bc this was 2 weeks ago but I just watched the whole of part 1 and it just seems like you already knew what was going to happen....
💖💖🤭🤗
Regé-Jean Page was busy elsewhere. 😁 Not everything has a meaning.
And here I sit, wishing I could get my hands on all the Sharma sisters' jewelry!
a esmeralda é caneta? que tradução maluca é essa?
Simon y Antoni no son suegros son cuñados❤
How many would bet on that the mailman is Daphne's actual father? I mean, all of the siblings and the parents have brown hair.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 she could have dyed her hair.
I am hoping Sophia is Filipino.
The devil is on the details 😊
Pesiqué?
The only exceptional writers are the writers of the tv series
If you look at the books you will know who’s marrying who
Does this mean Francesca is 2?

Simon y Anthony son cuñados no suegros

The books were fine...they depict an old era
