Part of the reason the Queen still wears the "same" outfits from when she was younger is not because she's stuck. She does it for George. So he can recognize her better.
My aunt worked on the set for Bridgeton season 2 as a regency era coiffure, and she did mention similar things. I believe there is some meaning behind their make up and dresses too
I also feel like Pen’s eyebrows were darker in the first two seasons. It made her features look a little harsher but now her face has a softer look with the lighter brows.
Bridgerton's costuming is the furthest thing from historically accurate. Women didn't wear dresses that color, in those fabrics, walk that way or talk that way. But that's ok as it's beautifully done and a blast to watch 🥰
I think Eloise is a great example of someone who can afford to not care what she looks like because of her wealth. She rarely wears updos and rarely has the patience to stand around and have her maids put in all these jewels and bobbles and she won't pay for that because she's a Bridgerton and comfortable in her wealth. She often wears her hair down and slightly messy I think to symbolize childlike naivete and the adventure that she wants. Eloise makes a lot of good points about how woman are perceived and limited in the ton but the fact of the matter is, her ideas are not grounded in her actual place in life. Seeing how her hairstyle changes over the next few seasons will be really interesting.
@@solenarrative3983Eloise can afford to not marry at all. her oldest brother will make sure she is living a comfortable life as a spinster. So she doesn't have to look prim and proper to attract a potential husband. Of course, in real life ladies didn't wear loose hair in public at all 😄 that's artistic liberty in the show.
we see that the reason behind penelopes drastic change is because she never felt beautiful or desired so she goes to this another extreme of being this sensual, inviting grown woman and it seems that she gets what it wants but the saddest part is that i think this time she will struggle with men desiring her only for what she can offer physically. so im guessing shes gonna end up in the same place mentally when she realizes that the men dont respect her or want to connect on an emotional level -it wont make them love her like how she desires-. cant wait for her story. i think many women, young women and girls can relate to her. she is beautiful nevertheless.
I can’t wait for season 3. I think I’ll rewatch the series again (aka for a third time) it should take me into May. I still think that they should have had the girls being presented to the queen in hoops like they would have in real life (as silly as it would have looked)

Dude that makes me cry. Like I already knew that but still.
@@Lady_dromeda it’s what you do when you love someone. For her Farmer George. ❤️
WAIT NOOOOOO 😭😭😭😭😭 That makes so much sense omg I feel so sad now 😭😭😭😭
Doesn’t surprise me. They get so many things wrongs in these Bridgerton videos and literally contradict themselves between videos.
this video taught me How to predict what’s gonna hapoen every season based off their hair in the trailer..🤷🏾😂
😅😅
so real hahahah

Nice for your aunt.
8:37 "But I was meant to look like a sad poodle, so I looked like a sad poodle" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Idk why but that has me cracking up!
Penelope has that "grown and sexy" look for season 3. I see you, Penelope 😜
And the costume is no longer hiding/flattening her bust! She gets boobs now!
Cressida Cowper often served with her hair in season one, i like the elaborate braids
"basically that she is DTF" IM DEAD HAJAHHAAHAAA
😝💅
Me prediciting the eye color of penelope and colin’s future child based on a hair clip
😂😂😂

Love Penelope's 1940s siren hair
I would love to see more breakdowns like these

Well they never claim themselves to be historically accurate. I thought it was well known that the show is sort of an "alternative reality" one 😅
They are clearly inspired but not accurate and that kinda frees them to say, "why not?" If it looks good
This channel made another video about the dresses specifically explaining that. They’re loosely inspired, not completely copying
So..Explain Eloise..lol..

Yes her style is a combination of ( as my grandmother would have said) "birchbroom in a fit" and "dragged through a bush backwards"
Adding in to the other replies above, Eloise isn't going to have her glow up anytime soon. (if they follow the book)
Eloise is channeling Emma Peel to me
Also thought it was strange Daphne was always in the exact same style dress..TG for this Era,or we wouldn't have Claire's 😂😂
They cut Nicolas dresses differently as she was only supposed to be 17 in S1. They had to hide those fabulous curves from Colin! ❤
I loving this video and it makes much more sense in the show called Bridgerton.
❤❤❤❤ LOVED THE QUEEN'S HAIRSTYLES 😊😊😊😊
Daphne's bangs were atrocious 😅
It was so bad😭😭😭
i was so happy they made them somewhat decent in s2 😭
Truly 😂
Phoebe said she was so happy to wear a wig, as she really didnt want to cut her own hair into micro bangs😂
It wasnt so much the time they were out rather their age that made them a spinster
I am sure men in that era had no idea
but colin has sideburns like anthony did season 1?

Does anybody know what Penelope’s hairstyle is called especially in the new season 3 when she glows up? I want to replicate her hairstyle so bad
It's not era accurate. It's more of a 50s fingerwave.
I read that it was based on Katherine Hepburn in the 40’s/50’s .
We have a whole video talking about her hair in season 3💖 ua-cam.com/video/Gr1drGTYvjY/v-deo.htmlsi=ZcjtPu09R1ffpJbo
I read (and heard, on several UA-cam videos) that her Glow Up hairstyle was based on Jessica Rabbit's. I kinda love this!!
I love this show !!!! ❤😢
How heavy are some of the queens hairpeices?
I don't get Daphne hairstyle in season 2. It so weird. Is it like that because she is married and have her own family?
I really wanna see Kate in different hairstyles. In the season 2 her hairstyles were so boring and didn't complimented hair
