For me Eloise is a free spirit, intelligent, strongwilling, independet young women. Now she married, have a few children and life in a big house in the rual area without any friends or family near by. She was so fearless to visit a political event alone and now she become all that she don't want to. 😔
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Even though wrought with sadness and painful moments there was comedy that I found quite humorous. Eloise never lost her independence, vitality nor confidence throughout plus she’s just as talkative as ever. Some moments will have you tearing up and the next it will make your heart flutter with warmth. If you don’t want a spoiler then don’t read beyond this point. . . . . . . The most funniest I found was when all four brothers showed up! hope they include this in the live series.
I highly recommend reading the book before making conclusions based off the little details you were allowed by the series, where the story line strays a little from the book’s. I read the first five books and I must say I was not looking forward to reading Eloise’s story simply due to the fact that Sir Philip was already married to Marina, I had no idea how that would’ve panned out, and I hoped it was another Sir Philip but alas, it turned out to be the very same one. However, this was one of my very best reads, of all the Bridgerton books. Sir Philip was a man plagued by darkness and Eloise was the light he so very much needed. I love this book with every fiber of my being. I went through so many emotions, and I shall definitely read it again and again. ***Marina though, seemed to have led such a sad life, right up to her death…I wish we could’ve gotten to know her just a little better, to understand her. She obviously needed love and it seemed no one offered her that, seeing that the only person who would’ve fought for her, died on a battlefield. She deserved so much better than the cards she got dealt with.
I loved the way Eloise handled the children. Reminded me of Maria in Sound of Music especially the dinner scene. She was so fierce and protective in the book. I hope they do the book justice.
Not every married woman loses their sense of independence and view of the world. She is still a strong-willed and “ she does not stop talking”. In this experience,She gained more knowledge about motherhood and values in life. In the book Eloise still remained true to herself altho they were ups and downs of the odd relationship they had at first but ultimately she found herself happy and contented at the end.
This isn't my favorite book but it has my favorite scene with the 4 Bridgertons... Well... 3 of them beating up poor Phillipe will Colin was just chilling 😅😂😂
I can't lie, I haven't read this book but it sounds terrible to take the most strong-willed, independent, out-spoken, confident feminie character, have her fall in love with a man who has lost his wife so that he can find a mother for them and turning her into this woman who seeks marriage bc she is now the last few of spinsters in her circle and ultimately become domesicated, docile, maternal person is wildly out of character and feels like the most disappointing storyline for a Bridgerton I can think of. Have no clue how Netflix will do this one, but I hope they change A LOT of stuff.
Agreed! The author tamed or brought this character into submission, and had her conform. Imagine the things this character could have done? How fun it could have been to write her adventures. Marriage and children aren't a path for many women, but it doesn't mean she cannot fall in love. I hope Netflix takes many liberties with Eloise. I admire the character's boldness and resonate with her desire for a more expansive life.
I've read the book and she remained her strong-willed, outspoken and confident self. She was neither domesticated nor docile although yes, the more she interacted with the twins, she developped a strong maternal affection with them. To Sir Phillip with love did Eloise's character justice in a lot of ways. Brings a lot of contrast to her desire of independance but yet wanting to have a love marriage.
I have read the book, and it is very much in keeping with her character. She leaves home by herself to meet Sir Philip, only to see if she likes him in person. She remains outspoken and independent and is the best person to help his children. And her relationship with Philip is very passionate. Loved this book!!!
Not every woman who gets married and has a family looses themselves. I know quite a few women who are married and can still run a tight ship, kick some ass and still be the most loving sweet and romantic women ever. Also this is keeping with her personilty. Sometimes feminist just don't want to see that a woman can be all with a husband and child(red).
I’ve read every single book and this sounds to be amazing. Not every romance is up front and at first glance but some are a slow progression and might come out of nowhere which was Eloise’s story. 🙋🏻♀️🥰can’t wait!
Hahaha... I was an Eloise. It's interesting how I've seen people mentioning that Eloise lost herself, became a mother and she didnt become more than that. All I have to say is, whatever road a women takes is her own, kids or not. I haven't had any kids, but theres a sweetness in life that makes me care for others as tenderly as a mom would. I think we have overvalued the over achiever side of being a women, but what if the strong outspoken side coexist with the tender and loving side?. Loving someone doesn't take the strength away from you, it just gives you another kind of character development. I think its a lie we've all swallowed, that renouncing love and tenderness in the name of freedom aloofness and having a strong mind it's somehow the most honest route. I Eloise's journey... You never know where life it's going to take you, you might think that you'd be travelling everywhere and causing revolutions and one day you're serving soup on a little one's plate and being secrety a witch or something, having hot intimacy with your husband that happily gifts you jars for your herbs while you heal the soul of tour best friend... I don't think one it's better than the other, the question it's, how are you going to react to it, and who are you going to become?...
The Philip that's about halfway through the video is Sam Claflin from Me Before You, but they're showing so many different actors in that role in this video
I think the Netflix series will change a few things. We recently saw a potential friendship between sir Philip and Colin. Maybe Eloise will instead meet him through her brother
@@Anna08371 I think this book has so much room to be changed around while still fitting the spirit of the story. Romancing Mr. Bridgerton has very little plot, and they were able to create a plot for season 3 that kept the essence of a lot of its big moments but still made sense for TV and for how the TV versions of Colin and Pen already differed so much from their book versions. I can easily see them finding a way to make Eloise’s season true to TV Eloise while still true to key elements of the book. I also was really hoping they would find an opportunity for Phillip to run into another Bridgerton sibling in season 3. I thought it would be a cute running joke if every season his path crosses with another Bridgerton but not Eloise, until their season. Daphne saw him in season 1, then Colin. I half expected Phillip to be at the wedding and introduce himself to Benedict or Anthony or Gregory but for some reason never be in the same area as Eloise. 😂
This is my most favorite book of the entire series, followed by Colin’s and then Gregory’s. I have SO MANY ideas as to how Shondaland could adapt it. I had thought of the Colin connection being a key as well. I’m a fan of both Chris Fulton and Claudia Jessie and look eagerly to S4 possibly be their season 😊. I am new to the books and the show this year. And all the books and seasons have their positives and negatives. But for me personally, Eloise’s book hit me on a very emotional level. I hope Shondaland pays respect to the themes of loss, yearning for connection and of post-partum depression, in both the mother AND father as this books does..
I have all the books and have read them all. Some are my favorites. I would write some differents situations. But I am completely satisfied with Julia Quinn's books.
Their story would been very interesting and everyone would have want to watch because of the strong will person Eloise is and don’t care what people thinks. Just saying
In the book Marina was a distant cousin to Eloise, when she heard of marinas death she started to write to Phillip. He never told her he had twins with Marina, it is mentioned in the book that Marina was engaged to George Phillips brother. In the series Marina was a distant cousin to Penelope, she was pregnant to her lover George, after George’s death Phillip found out about the child so married her. He inherited the title that he would now leave to George’s child. Still confused? Not sure how they will write this one.
@@aussiemiss1442I’m assuming they are going to have Marina die somehow and then start their love story. I hope they don’t include Marinas suicide because idk if that fits her character in that series.
To Sir Philppe with love and When he was wicked are two of the best historical romantic novels I have read. Why? Because through these books Julia Quinn explored two issues that never see the light of day in most romance or historical novels. These include 1) the impact of a parental suicide on the children, and the impact of the resulting severe depression on both partners 2) the impact of the death of a beloved husband on a young wife and the possibility of finding happiness once again. In my opinion the producers of the Netflix series have ruined the true impact of the Bridgerton books in exploring and doing justice to issues that were taboo in the 1800’s. The unnecessary addition of a perfect society in England, where all races live in Harmony and marry irrespective of race, has not been good for this terrific series of BOOKS that explored important issues such as the ones I mention above and whether or how true love can bloom even after the tragedies of suicide and mental illness and death of a spouse in a love match! I think race relations should have been explored better and I also feel that the perfect interracial society in England depicted in the Netflix series is a travesty that fails to show the actual restricted society where any transgression would have resulted in censure. For certain, the England of the times should have been depicted realistically. To do otherwise is to obfuscate the many ills of society in those days! I also don’t like the mess they made of the whole Marina story where she is expecting the children of a man while attending London society! This Marina is a strong character who I don’t think would ever have resorted to suicide and this the Eloise storyline would not have occurred as naturally as it did in the books! The Lady Whistlesdown character never baited the Queen - it simply could never have happened. And there was no Queen Charlotte as portrayed by Netflix. It is impossible that the Colin in the series would ever be able to forgive what Penelope did to Marina by telling the world she was pregnant just because she wants Colin for herself. Colin still seems to feel for Marina, so finding out that she outed Marian’s secret would have a horrible impact on Penelope. she is now just a nebulous figure they find their happy ending in this vapid season of Bridgerton simply because she wanted him herself! a Normal Colin to Britain America and Europe had not solved the race issue in the 1800’s! And social class was a horrible barrier in the England of the 1800’s! The Sharma sisters never existed and even if if they had, they would never have been welcomed into the London that really existed then! They would never have been welcomed into the upper echelons of English society as it really existed in those days. 0:02 😊
Everyone knows what happens in real life is the exact opposite of fantasy world Bridgerton era 😂 Netflix is never depicting real scenarios no matter how hard they try 😂 we are all living in a fantasy world via Netflix called movie magic
What I find a bit strange about the series is that it is presented to us as The Bridgerton family's closeness to each other. I do think it was a mistake not to replace the duke with another actor as it is too odd without the duke and Daphne joining the family gatherings. Is that is what is going to happen each book you'll get rid of one of the family you no longer need? I don't think that says close family. I think it says there is no good excuse not to be joining the family on occasion. They are portrayed as this incredibly close family yet one by one they dissapear. It's a shame we can't continue to enjoy that part of the series.
@@micheledix2616 I don’t really care for Simon, but I was bummed that there was no Duke to support Pen at the end, and that they didn’t find a way to get Anthony in there, as well. But I suppose having the Duke and viscount lead the clapping for Pen like they did in the book would be too similar to what they ended up doing with the Queen in season 2, where she and Edwina just declared Anthony and Kate a fine couple and the Queen intimidated everyone into agreeing with them. Still, Anthony, Simon, Kate, and Daphne were four of Lady Whistledown’s biggest subjects. Especially since she’s only been writing for 2-3 years in the show vs 11 in the books. It would have been fun to get any of their reactions to the revelation of who she was.
@Cab1726 yes I agree. I don't mind changes to storylines as long as it makes sense. And I feel Series 3 of the TV Bridgeton left MUCH to be desired and truly botched Pen and Colins romance very very badly. And I'm SO disappointed in the horrible way Francesca and John's devoted love story was handled and as for the change from Michael to Michaela , yuk, yuk yuk. And for me it has nothing to do with the change of ethnicity ( the John in the book was not a smallish slender ultra introvert as they depicted, that was my first yell at the screen John was a handsome well built man ) and I have no problems with a lesbian or gay lovestroy provided it makes sense within the storyline of the original. And 'When He was Wicked' is one of the best in the series as it covers terrible grief , loss of a beloved husband and worse loss of their much desired and wanted baby , deep loss of a beloved cousin like a brother and the emotional struggle to search for a more normal future. None of that can come from a relationship with Michaela especially as this is not set in 2024 but in the 1820's, 200 yrs ago. If they are going to make a faux regency series at least have the commonsense to try a little to make it make sense with a little realism . Heavens there are SO MANY brilliant series to have watched to see how well and professionally made a series could be , Poldark and Sanditon are just 2 off the top of my head that are brilliant
Eloise story line is like the Sound of Music. Benedict story line is Cinderella. The best book is Francesca’s but Rhonda changed Micheal to Micheala 🤦🏻♀️
Watching this makes me want Sam Claflin in this b universe. But i genuinely love 2 depressed characters finding love in their loneliness (flagbearer: Eowyn & Faramir in LOTR). I love Sophie & Ben for the same reason plus butterflies, fantasy & cottagecore 😊
@@GREEKATION to be fair, I’ve not yet read their book but I hear sooo many reviews about it. I heard that he r@ped Marina once (in a dubious consent type of way) and that all he wanted was a mother for his adopted children. Eloise should be and have more than that. Please feel free to enlighten me on what I’m missing out on or getting wrong as these are just what I’ve heard.
@@ChiliCrisp88 I think you need to get it all in context Women were told to just lie there and let men have their pleasures, it was considered the correct thing to do and bad form to say no. This information was told women on their wedding day by their mothers as recently as in the nineteen sixties. This series was set in the early 1820s Letting him have his way is hardly rape in the context of the era. Things were different then Before queen Victoria’s time women who took part in sex were considered a bit forward. You were not a nice person if you ,, gasp ,,, shock ,,, horror ,, enjoyed it ! Even less of a nice person if you responded. Please don’t put the modern sensibility into a period drama situation. Keep in mind women did not wear any knickers at all in those times. They wore a light shift that was worn for weeks without laundering. The corset was worn over this pushing up the breasts. Bras were invented in the 1930 s I think In the 1880 s a split corset existed which supported the breasts a little and gave a better shape. Queen Victoria started wearing bloomers but the early ones had the legs but no crotch.
I'm sorry in this I don't agree, I can't believe that she ended up with a man out of a cave, just because she felt alone, after all it's feminine power that she had, it's the scene of her first wedding night, philip did nothing but bring to mind marina, marina, marina and marina, he only compared eloise to marina, he only married her to have someone to have sex with and someone to raise his children with, THAT WAS NOT THE END THAT ELOIS DESERVED,, , she wanted someone eloquent, cultured, who loved her, this was a sad marriage that was only CONVENIENT FOR BOTH OF THEM. It is ridiculous that the author turned Elois into just another woman desperate for a marriage.
I have not read the books, but from what I have seen, I see Eloise as someone who may just become interested in men and relationships a bit later than most women. When she starts feeling lonely seeing all the couples around her, and this proposal dumps into her lap, she would be exactly the type to investigate it with an open mind. And what was supposed to be a 'practical', not very romantic arrangement, actually turned into love. Even a love who would allow her to be the type of person she was, and not squeeze her into the role of someone she was not.
@@HereIAm247 The problem is that in the book she was not even sure about getting married, she never came to the conclusion of marrying him on her own, Antony left her no choice after they went looking for her, and they found her with him without a chaperon, he never proposed to her in an organic way, he literally just ordered her, WE HAVE TO GET MARRIED, and she herself feels cornered, in the book she says that it was either marry him or be forever disgraced. She didn't love him, they didn't even love each other apart from a physical situation, he makes it very clear that he marries her because he needs her to take care of her children, and she marries him because he doesn't. has another option.
@@anggonro That was the original idea with the arrangement, yes. But the video makes it sound like their love grew 'against the odds', in spite of their circumstances? As it seems to be the case for most of the Bridgertons.
The story has a few parts that are not accurate , but I’m glad I heard this version because I will read the book for myself, but thanks for sharing your version.
17:15 it happens from time to time that you repeat a line a few times and 17:30 the volume also fluctuates a lot sometimes 😳 which is like a wake-up call when your voice is usually so calm and soothing otherwise 👍 video!
I would have love to see the story with Eloise and Theo, how the bridgintons and the town will act with her falling for someone poor . But he was very intelligent. Would they cast her out of society like they did Lady Mary
@@sharonrudolph3648 It is different in the books. Marina never interacts with the Featheringtons or Colin in the books. The first time you hear anything about her is in book 5 after she is dead. She is a distant cousin of the Bridgertons, and Eloise has gotten so addicted to letter writing that she hears about her distant cousin whom she hadn’t seen since a couple brief meetings as children and writes a letter to Phillip, who had no idea Marina had any Bridgerton relations and had also never met any of them.
Omg! Didn't think about it before you mentioned! That Netflix's Marina Thompson is THAT Marina from a book! And I suppose now they will kill her ! But I can't imagine how this quite reasonable woman will suffer from depression and will kill herself..... Maybe in a TV series they will make an accident 🤔
It makes sense for her to fall into depression and want to unalive herself, remember that the man whom she truly loved died in battle and she had no choice but to marry the brother.
@ZoneflixNews curious how Marinas story will play out on screen. The actress who plays Marina has spoken out saying she had "Two Psychotic Breaks From That Show" I am curious if they'll continue with the story as originally and unrelatedly written or avoid due to the actresses described experience. However, she 100% would need to be replaced as she does not want to return so maybe that would seperate the 2 situations if they were to continue the characters story as written. On another note I enjoyed this synopsis and really look forward to this story❤
In the last scene of Bridgerton 3, Eloise meets a young woman in passing and they exchange looks and greetings that seem to be preparing the audience to have a same sex Eloise. After what happened to Benedict in Season 3 , I'm thinking tom boy Eloise may stay more interested in her own sex. It would allow her to be free to explore her independence rather than just becoming a dutiful housewife in that society.
That was Francesca at the end of season three meeting the other young woman, not Eloise. They introduced the woman as Mikayla, a cousin to Francesca’s new husband. In the books, her husband dies after a couple years and she marries his brother Michael. In the show, I think they made him an only child, and turned Michael into Mikayla.
Can i just ask what is with the pronunciation of a lot of these words? Is this done via some auto speaking software? It gets rough to listen to. Plus the music gets to loud.
I hope they change the story line for Eloise Or atleast change The actor Phillip I mean he is supposed to be Masculine and Tall and Handsome Look at Eloise (beautiful)and then at Phillip THEY JUST DON'T MATCH😢
Sorry this Film...was off the wall confusing..Taking clips from Bridgerton and at least two other Period Pieces... Was...Seriously Terribly Confusing,, I've not read this book either BUT it sounds extradinary to consider Eloise...settling ? Plus, Louisa Thompsom was no relation to Louise Bridgerton...At All yest you said here they were cousins... Im thinking your getting your books confused?
This video only seeks to re-create with the help of other series what is narrated in the books. And yes, Marina in the books is a cousin of the Bridgertons, the series doesn't tell the story of the books in a faithful way :)
Not just confusing but who is the narrator? Is it AI or a non English speaking person - mixing up genders and mispronouncing words? Very strange clips.
Plus ms Thompson had only one child…there was no blood connection to either The Bridgestone or the Fetheringtons… Plus…Louisa knew very well there was a child…so saying she was suprised as Sir Phillip had not mentioned children…!!!!! I gave up at this point…I agree Sloopy editing … Sloopy Dialoge and too many mispronounced names and words
@@sundynightlive I agree - I have read all the books many times over, and of course watched both Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte many times over. I was utterly lost with all these flip flaps of scenes and hitherto unseen actors - I don't usually go searching through an entire chat thread to find out what the heck but here I am ... where the heck did half this footage come from ???!!!
Wait. Im confused, Merina was w George, George passed, Phillip takes Merina for his wife and fathers his brothers kid. I haven't read the books, but wouldnt the "twins" who I'm assuming are G&Ms kids- wouldnt they really be his neice & nephew?
@@Rebecca-GLaines In the show, yes, genetically. But he accepts them as his children before they are born. That is why he married Marina. To make her Lady Crane and make her children legitimate and the son the heir to the barony, as they all would have been if George had lived and returned home to marry Marina as he planned. In the book, the children may or may not be George’s. No one ever says anything to claim or even imply that Marina was pregnant before she and Phillip got married. It is more likely that they are Phillip’s biological children. But his reasoning for marrying Marina was similar - out of a sense of duty because George had become engaged to her and made promises to her. In the TV show, I assume that they made the children George’s to strengthen the reason why Phillip would have made that sacrifice to marry Marina, and why Marina would have said yes. Especially since the original reason doesn’t make much sense to a modern audience and wouldn’t get as much sympathy from us for either character. And of course they also did it so they could introduce Marina and Phillip way earlier in the story and have them interact with the cast in ways that help us get to know the main characters, like Pen, Portia, Colin, and Daphne. And it created a high-stakes storyline for season 1. In the books, the only real storyline is between the main love interests of each book and their internal thoughts. And sometimes multiple Bridgertons’ books happen at the same time, or several years pass between books. Netflix decided to make one story per year and fill out the world around the couple more, so this was an interesting way to use characters from a later book early on for a new subplot. They have done a few things like this of changing the exact relationship between characters or the conflict between them to make it fit better for the show. Or they introduce people at a different point in their story. They did this with Francesca and John this season. Their initial courtship is not shown in the books, and her story starts after they’re married, but here we got to see it play out from when they met.
Did you see at the end when he’s riding the horse by the cliff? The cliff falls off then the cut from the scene. Riding too close for me. I’d be making my own path far from the edge.!!!!!!
Marina is not actually in any of the books as a ' character ' but in Phillip's memories only. In book 5. I did really like To,Sir Phillip with love as a part of the Bridgeton Series, but my favourite is Francesca's story.
I have read the book - there’s a bunch of comments saying to read the book before judging it. I hated it. I feel like Eloise settled HARD - she complaints constantly about things she doesn’t like about Phillip but then just puts up with it or pushes it aside - and Phillip does not treat her right. Eloise deserved so much better, and I hope they change this for the better. I think the character of Eloise deserves someone who understands her, and Phillip does not understand or appreciate her. It’s the worst of all the stories.
This is a very poor recitation of the book's storyline. It also gives everything away, which is no fun. The book is spirited and challenging as Eloise's strong-willed personality takes on Sir Phillip and his two attention-starved and therefore defiant children. Also, there is much to be said about proofing and editing copy before it is published. The errors in this recitation render it confusing and irritating to those who know the story. Read the book, folks. It's a pleasant surprise. Eloise does not settle... she grows up.

I appreciate the clips of Finnick from the Hunger Games in this Bridgerton story 😅
The book was amazing, probably my favorite story for my favorite character. Definitely a must read!
This sounds exactly like my kind of book!!! Wonderful 💜
The actor who plays Phillip is gorgeous
I know!!! 😍
I don't fancy him at all
The Philip that's about halfway through the video is Sam Claflin from Me Before You, but they're showing so many different actors in that role in this video
He was supposed to be tall and masculine 😔
@@Cab1726
I have all the books and have read them all. Some are my favorites. I would write some differents situations. But I am completely satisfied with Julia Quinn's books.
Their story would been very interesting and everyone would have want to watch because of the strong will person Eloise is and don’t care what people thinks. Just saying
This was actually my favorite book,
🥰🥰🥰
Mine as well and Franchesca story.
Me too I loved this book most
I thought many of the books were dubious and a bit twisted. This was one of them
How could Eloise not know Sir Phillip didn't have kids? She knew her cousin was with child when she married him. I'm confused ..
I think his wife was a cousin to Penelope's family according to the show, but maybe the book is different.
@@Vanessa-vi2xh oops! That's right, wrong family, but I'm still surprised she didn't know about Phillip 🤷🏽
This video is based on the romance novels, not the TV show. They are two very different stories tbh.
I hope Shonda deviates from this storyline completely. Let Phil get a governess.
Phillip had a long line of people looking after the twins.
The last one had her hair glued to the bed.
Eloise was a match for them.
Philip is the actor who also starred in the movie, Me before you.
I hope they change the storyline for Eloise.
They’re not 🙌🏼
agreed.
True
It says marina was Eloise's distant cousin but she WASN'T! She was a distant cousin of the featheringtons!
In books marina is a distant cousin of the bridgertons
@@NoorFatimah-ic5il thank you for the clarification I haven't read the books yet, I guess I have to get on to it while I wait for season four
To Sir Philppe with love and When he was wicked are two of the best historical romantic novels I have read. Why? Because through these books Julia Quinn explored two issues that never see the light of day in most romance or historical novels. These include
1) the impact of a parental suicide on the children, and the impact of the resulting severe depression on both partners
2) the impact of the death of a beloved husband on a young wife and the possibility of finding happiness once again.
Colin still seems to feel for Marina, so finding out that she outed Marian’s secret would have a horrible impact on Penelope.
she is now just a nebulous figure they find their happy ending in this vapid season of Bridgerton simply because she wanted him herself!
a Normal Colin to
Britain America and Europe had not solved the race issue in the 1800’s!
Sir Philip and eloise are mean yo be. He has sad life eloise is his only light the book is one of the best
I've read the book.. it's a lovely story....Iam just not that in love with the guy playing Sir Philip😮
Hopefully their performance will make us fall in love with them.
Oh I am.. he is beautiful!
Remember the main characters always get a glow up on their season. He's def going to look many times better than he did on his last appearance.
Theoo e Eloise pleaase❤️
Heloise was a cousin of Marina's. Marina was a cousin with the neighbors across the street
Eloise was not Marinas cousin. Marina was cousin to the Featheringtons
In the books she was related to the bridgertons
That person is referring to the books, in the show they decide to make her a cousin of Penelope but in the books Marina is cousin of the Brigertons
Wow this story is depressing, i hope they change it. Eloise could do a lot better
Good god terrible AI makes this unwatchable
I TOTALLY AGREE!! 💯
And it is from The Duke &. Daphne 's huge grand ball that Eloise disappears to Sir Philip's Estate while the big reveal from Pen & Colin is happening.
Sam Claflin would have made a better Sir Philip in my opinion.
I want her to be with Theo. This storyline would be so OOC for Netflix’s adaptation of Eloise
No way!! Phillip put away all his dreams to marry Marina. He deserves an out of this world love!!! He is adorable.
I doubt they would go that far off book.
@@ChiliCrisp88 I think you need to get it all in context
Women were told to just lie there and let men have their pleasures, it was considered the correct thing to do and bad form to say no.
This information was told women on their wedding day by their mothers as recently as in the nineteen sixties.
This series was set in the early 1820s
Letting him have his way is hardly rape in the context of the era.
Things were different then
Before queen Victoria’s time women who took part in sex were considered a bit forward.
Bras were invented in the 1930 s I think
In the 1880 s a split corset existed which supported the breasts a little and gave a better shape.
Ah, but isn't that how real life is? And in this case, real love. It's not how one planned...
It sounds a lot like the second season of Sanditon.
My name is Eloise :)
The story has a few parts that are not accurate , but I’m glad I heard this version because I will read the book for myself, but thanks for sharing your version.

It’s artificial intelligence doing the narration, not a person
💜
I would have love to see the story with Eloise and Theo, how the bridgintons and the town will act with her falling for someone poor . But he was very intelligent. Would they cast her out of society like they did Lady Mary
Read the book! It’s good.
Marina was related to the Featheringtons and not the Bridgertons.
Ikr? They should do their research.
@@sheridowsett9929in the books she was a distant Bridgerton relative!
Thank you to Shonda Rhimes for rewriting these tediously boring stories into what we watch on Netflix.
The narrator said that Marina was Eloise’s distant cousin, I thought that she was a cousin to the Featherington’s
@@Cab1726 , thank you
The pronunciation of words by the narration could use proper editing.
They haven't really followed the books in several instances
What about the attraktive young man from last season?
He served his purpose. Basically so that Eloise could know that you can have love/friendship with someone who will not cut her wings.
Eloise is the 5th child and 2nd daughter not the 5th daughter.
That's just what I wonder, maybe she falls in love and runs away with another man? I'm not sure she will be killed
Huh?
I think we see her briefly in the second season, where she seems somewhat depressed, so it is not unlikely they go with the book version.
Phillip better be handsome
Or I ain't watching season 4
Eloise is beautiful and deserves the best❤
I love here character
Loved the book
The book is good.
What is the time stamp for that in the show?
Since I haven't read the books, I also thought the show would create a relationship between Eloise and the other girl.
What a way to write someone out of a Netflix show…
Can i just ask what is with the pronunciation of a lot of these words? Is this done via some auto speaking software? It gets rough to listen to. Plus the music gets to loud.
I believe it is an AI voiceover and not an actual person. That is why pronunciation and cadence of speech is off.

I've not read this book either BUT it sounds extradinary to consider Eloise...settling ? Plus, Louisa Thompsom was no relation to Louise Bridgerton...At All yest you said here they were cousins... Im thinking your getting your books confused?
This video only seeks to re-create with the help of other series what is narrated in the books. And yes, Marina in the books is a cousin of the Bridgertons, the series doesn't tell the story of the books in a faithful way :)
Exactly! I noticed actors that weren’t in the series, and came looking for answers
@@sundynightlive I agree - I have read all the books many times over, and of course watched both Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte many times over. They will probably not be happening. Since Fanny's love was deliberately destroyed on Neflix.
What happened to the pregnancy of Phillips brother George? Weren’t the twins George’s?
What are the movie clips from
Vanity Fair (2018) little women and my cousin rachel
Is this the summary of the actual books ?

The books are way better although the 4th book penny and Collin was really hard to get through it was dull and boring.
I thought marina was penelope relative
That's the TV version. It was changed. I am sure there will be many other changes.
Marina is not actually in any of the books as a ' character ' but in Phillip's memories only. In book 5. I did really like To,Sir Phillip with love as a part of the Bridgeton Series, but my favourite is Francesca's story.

So sm i missing something 🤔 how are all the brothers turning 23. Were they triplets. What gives. Somebody tell me.....
where is the rest? :)
Arrrgh what happened with Theo 😢
