Hi i really admire you and that your smart camping with a dog and firearm. I've had very close bad encounters out on trails before so I'm aware of safety more than ever. I always tell gals what's the smartest thing you could do out camping alone. Some of them balk saying living in fear is not good, but common sense is smarter. Your a smart woman and great role model for women. I would be scared all night out there alone with my experiences. Wish I could camp with you.
A couple of questions for you: 1. Do you have any mouse problems, where you are? 2. Have you, or would you, ever keep bees? You guys are so into the natural world, I'm curious. About the above vid: Beautifully captured! It's lovely to see the trees in your part of the world, doing what they're doing here in south Wales, UK. About your unwanted caravan: I used to drive a JCB for a family member, some years ago, and I folded a caravan like this; enough to fit it in a tow-along trolley. The trolley was only about 6ft long, but the aluminium went in, in one! We burned the wall panels, floorboards and dross. Then we took an angle grinder to saw up the chassis. In part, this is why I admire your gutsy approach to outdoor work. As a woman, there was no better feeling than to be called upon to tow men out, if the wheels of their lorry got stuck down in the mud. They used to doubt I could do it, but that just made me want to drive more machinery: the Dumper, a B100 Drott (bulldozer/road-maker), and a tractor lol. I miss all of that. Great work, Brooke! I hope your new property brings you wonderful new adventures, Terri. P.S. If you ever need any professional illustration work done, I'd do 'em for ya, free. Plant/natural world/portrait illustrations, etc. It's totally your call. Anyway, good wishes.
Brooke, I just thought of a way you might be able to get your coffee poured faster. Instead of heating just the water in the pot and then pouring it over the grounds in the filter, try putting the grounds IN the pot WITH the water when you heat it. Some of the grounds might even dissolve completely in the water. Then when it is hot enough, take it over to your cup, continue putting the filter on top of the cup but then pour the hot coffee through the filter. The grounds probably won't clog up the filter as much and you'll have your coffee quicker. In fact the grounds might settle at the bottom of the pot and if so when the pot is empty just chuck the grounds outside. Used grounds are suppose to good for the soil. And since you only use the pot for coffee anyway, any residue won't matter.
Great video, like heaven. If I had someone like you to camp with it would be heaven. Loved Maisy's little "watch dog" routine. My brothers and I had an old WW11 wall tent when we were kids. Like 8 years old. My grand mother and mom help us set it up in the back yard and my brothers and I lived in it for about three months.
Girl I have been watching you for such a long time I love you so much you make me smile. I to live in Michigan, I live near the sleeping bear dunes and I camp in the upper peninsula all the time. It would be so awesome to camp with you sometime. You were such an inspiration and hard worker I admire you totally.
That tent does look great and you all must love it so much to live in when away from home, and your dog is getting organized at the property and checking out the area on her own. I would enjoy living in one of those as long as it isn't too long and there is plenty of drinking water around.
Brooke...I have watched you make coffee for awhile now and I am sure your little orange setup makes great brew. I also watched you spill that contraption 3 times in a FIRE video in Feb. Might I suggest something I learned during my days living in a puptent in Louisiana, which you may know anyway. Boil your water and throw some grounds in, remove to cooler part of fire for about 5 mins or so. Add a pinch of salt to settle the grounds, then pour a cuppa...with or without the filter...:-) Its powerful good!!
Hello hello just came across your video and I have say this fabulous, I love it and you are such a fabulous person, I love the way you explain everything which is so interesting, looking at everything your doing is so amazing and love your doggy. Are you protected as I see you are alone with your doggy and at night in a forest with so many unknown creatures. I find you brave and very interesting. I love your sense of humor, thank you take care.
Let's do what needs be done! Throw a demolition party for friends and feed them for their help. Even scrap has value and if you're careful you'll recover the scrap value of the frame and salvageable items like windows and doors, oven, stove, etc. Good luck and remember...if you want it gone, you must make it disappear! Thanks for the video!

Nice thanks much go girl!!

awww nice!
Brooke,
I just thought of a way you might be able to get your coffee poured faster.
My grand mother and mom help us set it up in the back yard and my brothers and I lived in it for about three months.
cool!
Mazie was just letting you know that Sasquatch was watching you. I think I heard a couple of tree knocks. They like to do that.
Jeffrey Yelp, I'm sure we weren't the only viewers scanning the background for Sasquatch structures and signs 😁
Beautiful leaves 🍁
Girl I have been watching you for such a long time I love you so much you make me smile. I to live in Michigan, I live near the sleeping bear dunes and I camp in the upper peninsula all the time. It would be so awesome to camp with you sometime. You were such an inspiration and hard worker I admire you totally.
awesome thanks so much!
Add a pinch of salt to settle the grounds, then pour a cuppa...with or without the filter...:-) Its powerful good!!
yesss i'm getting rid of that thing after all this time- i hate it!!! lol
Thank you always fun to watch you!
I love the homemade candle holder.
thanks!
