PLEASE! Dave just drove 4000 miles in 5 days from Alaska to be here. HE WAS EXHAUSTED. I'm beyond sick of the negative comments about "how he did or did not react" and what a terrible husband he is. ARE YOU SERIOUS? You can't interpret a couple's love and appreciation for each other from one EDITED video. YOU DON'T SEE EVERYTHING! And by the way, this is nothing new to us- we've been living in wall tents and buying/improving land our whole married lives. Good grief people. Calm down.

I am 70 years old also and have a RV right now that I am living in until I find some beach area for a small home. I travelled with my medical profession.I found this channel just recently and love watching this couple. I love nature. Awesome couple.
I am only 45 and have not been able to go camping for a while. Just want to load up my gear and hook up my boat and go find a good place to do some real camping. I do miss going to the mountains and catching trout and cooking them over a fire. That is living life when you are in nature and enjoying it.
LOVE this couple and their ability to compliment each other in multiple ways by the way they work together and separately as needed. Happy Anniversary! 💞
Knowing how some Alaskan men can be, Dave was a perfect 10. Good man, good provider, and gives you the freedom and love to be yourself. Well done, both of you.
No offense intended, but I can guess why people question your relationship status. After 21 years and long bouts of isolation, you two are acting like brother and sister. You have worked so hard to surprise him...with those strange words...wanting to blow his face off. 4000 miles should not prevent a big hug and a kiss. Of course, there were conjectures that Bill & Hillary were more business partners than lovers. Trump & Melania seem to be there too. It is a shame, because it is evident that you would like more than just a single word of appreciation for your labors to make him happy, compounded by your having to ask for it. Of course, people can settle into whatever seems to work best, even as you may desire some intimacy. But! We don't know what happens when the lights go out. I suspect you think a pattern established for 21 years is all it needs to be. Just scold me and delete this. Feel the satisfaction for the amazing amount of work you accomplish..with those lovely romantic touches!😏💕 Namaste.

In forestry college many moons ago, a professor introduced us to the concept of vistas. Judicious thinning of trees can create a vista by allowing you to see thru to a scenic landscape. You start by taking out a few trees at a time until you get the scene you want. You don't need or want to clear cut.
That was an awesome surprise for Dave. Could see he really loved the comfort of the tent. You worked so hard to surprise him. I look forward to the next episode. Thanks for sharing. 😎

Wish there were more people like you guys on earth. I see all the beautiful old trees get cut down in the town I live in and it just breaks my heart ! When I see those tall majestic trees I think of what they have seen in their life. The older I get the more I appreciate and want to be in nature and use the resource it offers me. God bless you guys
Your videos are timeless, I am seeing this for the first time 3 years after it being posted, but it is all new. It might be some more of the same, but beautiful is beautiful at any point in time. I'm amazed that you are still going at it strong as ever. I love watching you guys work, not used to seeing you slow down for a bit. So much of the northern US is pristine compared to other places, however, east Tennessee and western North Carolina are beautiful too with easier winters. A cabin on the lake would be so nice...

He is genuine and sincere and humble yet strong , secure , stable and grateful for everything…I loved his heart and reaction to everything you had done and worked so hard to get finished for his surprise and I think it was wonderful in every way …..I felt his appreciation for you, everything you accomplished and for life in general all throughout this video …Happy Anniversary 🎉

Love seeing the stove and tripod in action. All the comforts, access to a huge lake, seclusion, privacy and all the nature you can stand. You two are living the dream.
Everyone is different, but I would be hurt if my man reacted that way to a surprise I worked so hard on. Way to go, Brooke! What a beautiful gesture of your love 💕
@@therealgirlinthewoods you did a GREAT job !!! Ignore everyone complaining about his atitude. Guys react TOTALLY DIFFERENT than us females. But I understand what they are saying. Everyone expected a bigger reaction and him to grab you and give you a big hug. But NONE of us KNOW what happens off camera. Private is private.
I didn't hear it at first either, but then as it went on he sounded more in awe, and when I am in awe I tend not to show jumping up and down excitement, too. Then he starts talking about the landscape and you can hear it
Sometimes men respect a woman more when they aren't as nice to him. Some men feel intimidated or inadequate with a giving woman. Crazy sounding, but true! I learned the hard way!
I think he has a great reaction! Plenty of praise and appreciation, he seems very impressed with her hard work. 😃 Also, does seems tired. Is sweet the way she wants him to be happy. 💕
Amazing reveal for Dave, he loved it! I can see it in his eyes! Much love there ❤ As someone who lives on Vancouver Island, thank you for praising the beautiful land I live with. Thank you for the great content, I've been marathoning through this series.
Awe Brook, Looks like a shock and awe experience to me. He was in shock of what he didn’t have to do, all that you did do. Then in Awe of the beauty that he was surrounded by. Love how he really took in lots of details. Looks like you really blew him away on this, way to go girl.
Your input has been critical on my decision to get a walled tent. I've looked at many brands, many reviews of them, etc. and keep coming back to the Wilderness from Wall Tent Shop. In addition to just enjoying your (and your husband's) adventures and your appearance on Alone, I appreciate the comments and details you have given on the walled tent. When I call to order I will make sure you mention where I received my information.
Our family moved from Phila too Keweenaw county in the UP in 1942 . My mother was born and raised there so that’s why we settled there . It really was a heaven on earth after Phila . In the 40s and 50s you could pretty much go anywhere you wanted too . That all changed about 25 years ago when many city people moved in and bought up all the land and posted it with no trespassing signs . Even most of the Lake Superior beaches are off limits . I still have 5 brothers and sisters living there so we do have access to lake front beaches . This lady is so right about the bugs . The black flies , deer flies and mosquitos are bad but the worst are the little black things we call no-seeums . They get behind your ears or on your scalp and take out chunks of flesh and you don’t feel anything , then the blood starts dripping . I still go up there every summer just to wind down . I never bought lakefront property there because we lived to far away to keep it maintained . Our family have 4 lakefront properties so it wasn’t necessary .
Yes..my family bought 200 acres in Hulbert, Mich..the UP 30 years ago. My children and Grands learned so much during the summers..fishing ..hunting..fires..guns and so much love..
I absolutely love what you did and appreciate all the hard work you put into the property. The fact that you put up the wall tent BY YOURSELF is impressive. So fun to see Dave's reaction! What a great retreat! Much love and God Bless, Michelle & Sugar
Aww I almost cried you guys are so AWESOME as a team & considerate of each other opinions that's amazing havn seen a bond like that in awhile!! Have A Bless Day & Be Safe 🙏👍
That big ol' smile when he tasted your breakfast dish, was everything. You had ticked every last box on the man's dreams list. I bet he would've cheerfully set out later that day for another 4,000 mile drive, if he knew you were at the other end of it. You can't teach people everything. Some things people see or they don't. So don't let it get to you. Maybe they'll catch up, in their time. In their own sweet time. Meantime, you guys do your thing. Obviously :-) You did so well. I am in awe of your stamina, how much you did the night you put up the tent. So, so well done you.
I have watched and loved several of your videos on both channels. You both are so hard working, and just put your head down and get it done. Naturly in 30 or so minuits it is hard to see it all. What a lovely anniversary present. You two are so fortunate. I honestly don't understand why anyone would down vote this. Don't like good people and nature, I suppose.
Dave is so adorable, his enthusiasm is so easy to miss but he is obviously jazzed about the land and all the work you have done.
well dave are you going hug and kiss her and tell her you love her so much for giving you this great anniversary gift to you ? tell her this is great here " but that she is the real beauty that makes this place what it is " great job brooke !
Yes Dave? Act excited and give that girl some love!
@@evelyncordina9598 yes absolutely 😂 😂 😂 😂

WOW YOU ARE A GODDESS DAVE YOU GIVE HER A BIG HUG SHE IS A GREAT WOMAN GOD BLESS
Get them kids up there on the weekends and get the party started. Going to be a fun series.
The excitement in his voice when you pulled up and the first thing he said was did you put the wall tent up. He sounded like a cute giddy boy at Christmas 🎄❤. You 2 are soulmates for sure!
This is exactly how my husband would react in his own way - really, really exciting. You did an awesome job!
lol love when you told him "get a job hippie" when he suggested finding another little piece up there. you are too cute. remind me of my lady. shes always got a little sass ready to go!
I can only imagine that your son and husband are crazy about their mom and wife.

You’re a dream woman! I don’t know how you are so inspiring and calming all at the same time. What a great couple. :-)
You got a great hubby there! He can relate to and enjoys all the same outdoor things as you!!
Dude, you are so blessed to have a wife like this! WOW. Seems you are both very blessed! Keep the love... so rare these days. You're both awesome.
You’re great, David’s great, it’s all great. Can’t tell how much I love your channel.
TREATED LIKE A KING 😊 LUCKY MAN 😊
He seems like a very supportive husband and you support him. This is the idea behind the word "THE TWO WILL JOIN AND BECOME ONE FLESH" (paraphrased). I pray that you have another 21 blessed years together.
I'M JEALOUS! HE HAS A "GOOD WOMAN"! THEY ARE BLESSED!
You two really know how to live , a good woman and the great outdoors is all any man needs . I'm so happy for you two , 21 years together .

@@therealgirlinthewoods your welcome! I love your videos girl! Keep them coming!! LOL
I know its two years later, but I have to say what a wife and what a surprise. You worked your butt off and I think its great and I think your hubby is overwhelmed with what you did!
He was totally so in awe of the beautiful place you found and the work that you did… all he wanted to do was explore with you 🥰🥰 WELL DONE 👍 👍
You’ve built a wonderful camp. It was great seeing Dave get to know the place. I hope you both enjoy the place for a long time.
I think he loves it!! You guys are great!! You've been together a long time. This is your love language! I see it!
Great wife, fantastic. Dave is blessed, so mightily blessed ! Dunno why anyone would thumbs down - must be jealous of Dave !
Brooke, what an awesome video! You two look like you've been rewarded for all that you've contributed to the outdoor community. Well done! Enjoy your new "slice of heaven".
I am so very impressed. You worked your butt off and he best be proud of you. You are amazing Brooke !!
He doesn't like it ; He loves it, BROOKE you did crazy good girl in the woods, love you both bunches!!!
You are THE most amazing woman! I wish all ladies were like you. None around here want NOTHING to do with the outdoors!
Just Remember when you cut Trees down for home site-etc., plant trees back-they can be fruit trees, this way the Spirits that BE will be OK with you on their Property. My Great uncle who lived with the Native Indians in Arizona for several years use to Repeat Sayings that the Old Indians Taught him--Wisdom comes in Many Forms....
Man you have a wonderful wife!!! Not saying that you are not a wonderful husband but rarely do you see a woman work like this to surprise her Man. She loves you!!!!!!
I thought you glow in your videos of your love and passion. But, you really shined and glowed with Dave seeing what you did. I bet he is so proud of you! 🤩
These kinds of adventures keep a marriage perking along nicely. No boredom there. Only downtime and relaxation together. Wonderful.
I did civil war reenacting for 7 years ! The wall tent I had was so cozy on cold nights with my kerosene heater going ! I kinda miss those days sitting around the camp fire with my friends, listening to stories and sipping coffee !
I love the way he appreciated your labor. He’s a keeper!💞
Don’t you get it, there are a lot of people who have nothing else better to do than put people down !! It’s because you both are happy in every way! I’m so happy God Has Blessed you both because you are living his way 🙏God Bless You Both and pray for your enemies!!
Well said! 👍
I loved his reaction!
Happy Anniversary !!
Brooke….in my heart and mind, Dave is exactly what a Real Man is !
Happy 21st anniversary to the both of you!
He was so blown away that he was trying to process it and be happy at the same time 😂
I'm very happy for you both! Hope your Anniversary was a special time ... and Happy Birthday next month, Bushradical! What a unique treat the UP is. Looking forward to seeing it again soon, myself :) Take care, enjoy ... and God Bless you and yours.
thank you!
A canoe ride would have been the perfect ending to your reveal. Beautiful property. Congrats guys
What a beautiful gesture of your love 💕
agreed !! x
he loved it you don't see everything
Y'all's new property is looking great . So glad Dave is finally there with you . Can't wait til the next video.
I was waiting for him to say how proud of her is ,after all that hard work
He did say he loves it!
Your husband seemed overwhelmed, happed, exhausted when he saw the land. And you girl amazing all the work yoy did
Happy I meant
That is so sweet. I love it!
She is so positive and sweet, you have struck GOLD my man! Rare these days. God Bless! Dave, give her a big smooch for her hard work. She did good.
I think he has a great reaction! Plenty of praise and appreciation, he seems very impressed with her hard work. 😃
Also, does seems tired. Is sweet the way she wants him to be happy. 💕
GLAD HE LIKED IT!!!!! LOOKING GOOD GIRL
He is one happy man! You both have a beautiful anniversary paradise! Your husband is right. It is a gorgeous piece of land! Enjoy the blessing of it!
Hubby was sooo sweet!! He really appreciated all your hard work.
Amazing reveal for Dave, he loved it! I can see it in his eyes! Much love there ❤
As someone who lives on Vancouver Island, thank you for praising the beautiful land I live with. Thank you for the great content, I've been marathoning through this series.
thank you Craig!
Give her a big hug and fat kiss
Give her something fat
Lol
You could smoke with that tripod too. Bet being with your man to show him the big surprise wass way cool! 😁❤😁
Obviously :-)
You did so well. I am in awe of your stamina, how much you did the night you put up the tent. So, so well done you.
I have watched and loved several of your videos on both channels. You both are so hard working, and just put your head down and get it done. Naturly in 30 or so minuits it is hard to see it all. But the results speak volumes. Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us all. I wish you all the best. Keep the sweat equity comming. Love that one. John.
