I own two of these rods, and think they are phenomenal. I can put baits small and large, a long long way. I use them for Plaice, Rays, Hounds. Everything
Why is the handle upside down? Normally the longer section is at the bottom. Is that something that is specific to this particular model of rod or are all Century rods built like that?
Great video. Nice venue. Torquay/Paignton front? I have a Century GrandSlam bought off Mr Risborough Cardiff Angling in 1996. Question....i have two reels one is a Shimano Speedmaster TSM II The other is a Daiwa Slosh 20. (Both hardly used and both date to mid 90s) Whats the upside of switching to the Penn Casting Specials. All the experts and rockhoppers up in Wales are using them. My Target venues are rocky rotten bottom marks off Vale of Glam in S Wales off big ledges or breakwaters. Honest ruthless advice please.
Truthfully I wouldn’t bother, the casting specials don’t live up to the original fathoms, I’d stay well away from.. same as Akios nitron stay well clear .. personally I’d go for a Daiwa reels mate.. bomb proof
I have a pair of t 900 great rods my only gripe with them for the price they are the Gide's are poor and won't tack any knock the plastic centre of the ring crack easy
Fantastic rod. i loved mine that much i bought another one. can be used with fixed spools or multipliers great all round rod and a quality build.
So happy to finally get one of these for the heavier fishing and a Sonik X5 HT for the lighter fishing. Great review.
Excellent idea for a video, keep em coming
