Totally agree! I was looking hard to see what Dr. Fink and Lisa Coleman were playing. I think she was playing an Oberheim OBXa and a Yamaha Electric Grand piano. Dr. Fink had an Oberheim and probably a Minimoog somewhere. Bobby Z was playing those Simmons drums triggering a Linn Drum machine. I was at this show. Man, one of the best concerts I've seen in my life!

The whole damn band walked in the club came right up the stairs sat in the section around a huge circle setup. No lie y'all Prince sat right beside me and the band all around Bobby z Matt Fink Lisa Wendy Dez or Brown M can't remember, everybody. Like I said before you have to understand Prince ruled the planet during those days. No diss on Michael but Prince was in a whole different stratosphere. I mean the man played everything, to see how he directed his band on stage to come in, when not to come in the cues etc. His leadership on stage his performance on stage that damn guitar work and his piano work his dynamism musicianship all of that. And the way he carried himself that air of mystery like he wouldn't talk to anyone he was all low-key and chill it just made you want him even more. Like he sat right beside me. No he didn't speak to me nothing like that but his thigh was right beside my thigh barely touching . Almost lost mind Hahahaha. My girl was to my right she was tripping man squeezing my arm whispering it's Prince it's Prince. Damn near cut off circulation in my arm 😂😂😂 I was sitting there being cool. FACADE!!! Cuz on the inside I was like a little girl squealing. I'm surprised I didn't pee on myself. Facts..! That seems like a century ago now. I was a Prince fan from his very first album, always told my friends about him before he became famous they're like who the hell is that. Like I said y'all I saw him open for Rick James, he blew him off the stage by the way. I'll Never forget that .. trench coat and some stockings hahaha But then like the old saying every true story ends in death ... I think a part of all of us died and went dark inside when he passed. One of those moments when you stop you can't believe it and you struggle to catch your breath. We've all read the stories and I've done some research and looked into it and thought to myself if only there was somebody there that could have cared for him , protected him fought for him, ( when he was struggling with this and couldn't fight for himself) loved him to have helped him through the struggle he would still be here. When he passed out on that plane during his piano and microphone tour that was the warning then. Somehow he didn't have the strength or support Somebody to stand in the gap grab him up and love him back to life That cryptic thing that he said don't waste your prayers on me yet. Death was near... So sad and Fkdup😢 Then barely a short time after he was gone. I cried you cried we all cried from the deepest part of us for him. There was something magic and special and blessed somewhat visceral powerful passionate intelligent persuasive loving engaging seductive Inspiring about what came out of him to us. We still feel it. Especially if we were there during his time. Miss him still... Do me a favor There's a song I want y'all to look up it's a very simple song you probably don't know it. But please look the song up and listen to the lyrics it will touch your very soul. It's simply called " FREE" This simple yet beautiful and haunting Melody personifies everything that he was. Let me know what y'all think . Love you Prince Rogers Nelson. Always did always will. May u Live 2 C the Dawn
Yeah he definitely sat beside me I'll never forget that. Also my cool 16 year old friend I'm so glad you listened to " Free" Isn't it the coolest thing you ever heard. Remember the song "Sometimes it snows in April" There's a verse in it that says Those kind of cars don't pass you everyday. Well that's Prince. I'm glad you guys especially the young ones are really starting to appreciate what he was. For me it's very painful to even look sometimes because he was truly the soundtrack of my life. He was the soundtrack in so many ways of all of our lives. Thanks for letting me share my story y'all. I'm glad I could. When I look back on it now I'm like damn did that really happen,!? I wish he was still here I really really do😢
Thank you for sharing your AMAZING EXPERIENCE MEETING OUR BELOVED PRINCE!! I will always adore him!! 💔❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜💜 I seen Prince during his Purple Rain Tour as a teenager!! He was a supernatural, magical, mesmerizing talent blessed by God!! Absolutely love him in a spiritual way, as a brother!! Omg!! I’m a Lyme disease survivor and been through more physical suffering than I ever thought I could possibly endure!! God blessed me with an absolutely BEAUTIFUL DREAM WITH PRINCE!! It felt soooo real omg!! I actually felt his warm, kind HUG!! He was wearing the amazing outfit when he sang Purple Rain in the amazing movie!! I journaled the dream so I will never forget every beautiful detail of Prince showing me kindness and compassion like a brother does. I sadly lost my only sibling, my amazing brother Steve 💔He was my best friend always. I pray my brother Steve is playing GUITAR WITH PRINCE!! I LOVE YOU DEAR STEVE AND DEAR PRINCE!! Missing you both with a broken heart 💔🥲 Love, always and forever, Anita 🙏💔❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜💜💜🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💜💜💜❤️❤️
I would have absolutely died watching this concert live in person if I was there as an adult back in the day but I ALWAYS dreamed about seeing him live on this Tour even after Purple Rain came out when I was a little boy. So much that I thought that 1999 was a better album than Purple Rain.
You’re right 1999 was a better album and these concerts were amazing. My first time seeing him was in 1979. Purple Rain album is not in my top three Prince albums.
Oh yeah we were there! February 1982. Milwaukee Arena. The GREAT Dez Dickerson on guitar and Mark Brown on bass. Great band. HIGH ENERGY. Loved em. After he disbanded THiS band.....I WAS GONE, TOO. No thanks.
I am so blown away ay this concert. i was young and media was not like it is today. We were lucky to catch him on Soul train. Prince was so ahead of his time. this was before Purple Rain. The boy was so bad. RIP to the great one. Blessings.
I miss him so much…🙏🏻 I still cry when I think of him… He was an incredible musician! I hope you are resting in Eternal Peace Prince…❤️❤️🙏🏻💐 You are SO MISSED!😢😢
Yet another remaster where I actually HEAR BrownMark slay on the bass. IN the other case was the 1985 Syracuse concert. Up until the most recent remaster of that iconic concert, I'd NEVER heard BrownMark kick ass on bass. Not on the original VHS release, nor the first remaster (when the anniversary edition of the Purple Rain soundtrack with the DVD a few years ago) seemed to showcase what a damn good bassist BrownMark is. However, the newest remaster on Blu-Ray..holy squick. They really brought out the big guns (sonic-wise). Then, there's this video. Loved being able to see BrownMark jam, and hear him so clearly. Thank you from those of us who didn't get the 1999 remaster set this is from.
I noticed the same thing in the Syracuse remaster. I was like “Mark is killing that bass” I wonder why they kind of mixed him out of the original release.
Thank you sooo much for posting this amazing concert!! I ADORE PRINCE!! I’m so grateful to see this!! We miss you and love you Prince!! Always and forever!! Xoxo 🙏❤️❤️❤️💋💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🌹🌹🌹
The further his career went the more polished he became and he eventually reached perfection but trust he had to go through some changes starting with the sound man. This was a good performance but i saw him at his best and i feel so blessed to witness his progression from start to finish. He is by far the best all around musician that i've had the pleasure to see and may he always RIP and his music continue to live forever!!!!!!
I've seen PRINCE 3 times in my life time too!!! THAT'S GREAT, THE 3RD TIIME, HE SAW ME TOO!!! I HAVE POSTED ABOUT IT. MY LONG PIMP OUT HAIR LIKE HE HAD HIS HAIR FROM, "I WANNA BE YOUR LOVER," LOOK!!! I HAD FUN!!!!
I WAS 20YRS OLD, & COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL, ALL OVER THE PLACE WHEN IT CAME 2 MUSIC, WIT A BASEMENT FULL OF INSTRUMENT'S, TAUGHT MYSELF EVERYTHING I WANTED 2 LEARN, EVEN TAUGHT SOME OF MY FRIEND'S HOW 2 PLAY THE INSTRUMENT'S OF THEIR CHOICE, I LOVE MY GOD WIT NO END N SIGHT, I STARTED OFF WIT JAZZ, (MY DAD) & MY MOM WAS COUNYRY & CLASSICAL, THE REST IS HISTORY.3
In '82 A H.S friend asked me if I wanted to go this show when it hit its NYC leg of the tour at Radio City Music Hall. I never heard of Prince at the time. He and his band looked too zesty for me from his Album cover. My friend was a little on the zesty side himself so I took a pass on the show. Shortly after this tour he became the phenom that we now know. I didn't believe my friends in attendance stories of his performing with a brass bed on stage. This video affirms my friends story and my foolishness of literally judging a book by its cover. One of the biggest regrets of a lifetime. But I did attend 4 or his tours after. Thanks for posting this and allowing me to see what I missed out on 4 decades ago! RIP King Prince!
It’s okay, we all have our missed opportunities. I saw the Purple Rain tour - then had tickets to Lovesexy but was a poor college student and didn’t have the train money to get home. No mobile phones back then and I couldn’t get in touch with my mom to ask her to western Union some money. It still pains me that I missed that concert. At least you got to see him several times. And I completely understand… to use your word “zesty” … I thought the same as a kid when I saw his Controversy album cover in a record store, I was like, “Who the heck is this guy?… although I found it mesmerizing yet too nervous to buy it” haha 🤣 Upcoming I have a post coming where I briefly talk about that. Thanks 4 the great comment, I appreciate full comments. 🕊️☮️ Oh… and my mom took my Lovesexy tickets and went with my grandmother - too funny 😂… at least they didn’t go to waste.
@@duane.PrinceDMSR Good thing they didn't go to waste. That your mom and grand went was hilarious. But ,Your story is a little more heartbreaking because you knew who and what you were missing out on. When I missed the 1999 tour it was about a year later that he blew up, so there was a delay in my realizing the impact of my earlier decision. When I told my friends that I loved Purple Rain movie when I saw it in '84, they mocked me about bailing on the concert. They all reminded me that they saw ALL of the performers live that participated in the movie. (Exception being Appolonia who subbed for Vanity) After that movie , pre-Ticketmaster days, you couldn't get tickets to his NYC shows for years. Then he went dark on NYC for close to a decade when he was in that contract dispute with Warner. Fortunately I got a ticket to his return to NYC, a one-night show in '98 at Madison Square Garden. Its actually immortalized in a Concourse display at the Arena. They immortalize historical greatest events that happened at MSG over the full 365 calendar. That show was one of them. An over 3hr dance party that featured opening solo set performances by the great Larry Graham and the incomparable Chaka Khan. Each playing for about 45 minutes before Prince hit the stage. Best concert of my life! I thanked the Prince Bootleg Channel for digging up that actual concert last year. I later went to his Musicology and Welcome 2 America tour. Sorry for babbling but I miss the little Purple genius. RIP!
The band as a whole were so talented. They took songs to a higher level. Funky pop rock. This period of time was the best for music. Mixing styles with ease.
My first Prince show was April 8, 1983, Joe Louis Arena, Detroit. I sat in the upper bowl, 26th row. The Time and Vanity 6 opened. I was 13 years old and I remember it like it was yesterday.
🏁❤️✌️🌹☝️💎💋❤️ YESS!! YEAHH!! Here it is!! This is the one! On the 1! I can tell you this, ..EVERYONE- that was there - was Lucky! This is the most memorable, to me. Besides that its 1 of the BESTEST!! TY for upload!!❤
This tour came to Toledo Ohio in February 1983. I HAD to go with my sister. I was only 11, I had no idea what I was witnessing until a year later when Purple Rain dropped. RIP. I miss you Sis!
Was there at the age of 13. 3rd Row Dead Center on the Floor. This got Me HOOKED and it became the 1st of Exactly 50 Times I Saw Prince in Concert in My Life. All Over Texas for Years, then later in life in Missouri, then the Trek to Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota 💜💜💜💜💜
The DVD was included in the Supreme Deluxe Edition of 1999. Unfortunately, I think the Estate has stopped selling it but maybe you can find it second hand. Thank u 4 viewing. 🕊️☮️
This was my 2nd Prince show. Just WOW!! Every time I pass by Joel Osteen's church with someone new in the car, I say, "I saw Prince play there several times!"
@belafontejames667 Easy way to stay sane, in a world where insanity runs ramped. BIBLE STUDY. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Souls, come to CHRIST and: be healed, be guided, be saved, be protected.
I was there in front row third row with my ex wife back then. She was in chock couldn't believe I got those tickets in front. Loved it when Apollonia and Shena Easton and Shelia E. came out all together 💜💜💜 awesome concert!! RIP!! Prince Rogers Nelson!!🙏✝️🙏
One of AP’s fav shows Prince did. He knew all of the moves for this show, all of the choreo. He was Portland’s best DJ & a big fan. Now deceased sadly.
I was there. 14 years old. Lower left Mezzanine off the floor. I could see everything including Prince, Jam, Lewis, Lisa, and Jill Jones playing behind a curtain for Vanity 6.
The "1999" Tour i attended this tour in San Diego, Ca 1983 .....First concert at the tender age of 16 Prince mania was taking off and what a time to be young...
It’s crazy that I was 5 when this concert came out and maybe 12 yrs old when I was staring at his album in the record store wanting to hear it and thinking how amazingly beautiful Prince was on the cover!
Guessing you got locked in on the Diamonds & Pearls CD that was about 7 years later. My experience is the same but opposite direction. The previous album, Controversy, I saw it on display for weeks after school in a record store and his look was so different for the time - it mesmerized me. Didn’t buy it (broke child) but when 1999 came out my mom bought it for my birthday. I was hooked. Thanks 4 the view and comment. 🕊️☮️
You always hear people compare Prince to guys like Jimi Hendrix and James Brown, but you can't deny as much as he was in a stratosphere all his own, you can see the influence of early performers like Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, and even Liberace. This man was amazing and on a whole level above all the others
I saw him one month later in Detroit. Vanity 6, The Time, Then this incredible Master walked on the stage. This is Greatness!! Listen to him around 27:00, doing How come you don't call me anymore, just WOW.
I know, why not everybody else say they where there. AND, WHY NOT EVERYBODY ELSE SAY THAT THEY WERE ON STAGE WITH PRINCE!!! HE STARTED LATER IN HIS CAREER CALLING A FEW FANS ON STAGE, LIKE HE DID ME AND ABOUT 10 OTHERS IN DALLAS TX 1997! I WAS AT THE SHOW IN SHREVEPORT LA 1982, THE NIGHT BEFORE THIS ONE IN HOUSTON. I WAS 15 YEARS OLD. I GUESS THE PEOPLE LIKE US ARE BUSY WITH LIFE AND DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THESE VIDEOS , BECAUSE I WANT TO HEAR OTHER PEOPLE'S STORIES ABOUT BEING ON STAGE WITH HIM. I ACTUALLY MISSED MY CHANCE, BECAUSE I WAS TOO SHY AT FIRST AND PRINCE WOULD NOT GIVE ME A SECOND CHANCE TO COME UP THERE. THAT'S OK, AT LEAST HE PICKED ME AND HE ACKNOWLEDGED ME BECAUSE I HAD LONG BEAUTIFUL HAIR LIKE HE USE TO HAVE BACK IN THE ,"I WANNA BE YOUR LOVER DAYS!!!! I LOVE PRINCE, FOREVER !!!
40:09-40:21 Thx 4 postin.I Knew there was"somthin" 2 learn here, but I didn't kno what until this segment. The 1999 Album was very influential on my development and I was able to trace it to how Prince programmed his Hi-Hats.I have the exact-same sound on," Lil Miss Payback"(Ev9 Topic)and " Brew Doo Lady".
Fortunate enough to experience the Indianapolis, IN (Market Square Arena) tour stop.. (11/20/82) at the ripe age of 11 yo with my older sister. Life changing experience to say the least! I remember it vividly, front row seats in front of Susan (V6), Terry Lewis (Time), and Brown Mark.
Despite achieving considerably more commercial success with the Purple Rain Album released in 1984, the body of work that Prince produced through 1978-1982 was by far his best work in my humble opinion . . . The lyrics conjured up imaginative and euphoric visuals. 🤩 The music also felt raw especially in comparison to the “lush arrangements” he incorporated into later productions. However, the musicianship was always on point from start to finish throughout his entire legendary career. Rest In Glorious Peace! 😔
I was there stage right. He yanked the necklace off his belly it flew over my head.. Girl behind me caught it.. Great performance, start to finish.
LOVE PRINCE. SAW THIS CONCERT 1982. HOUSTON
Yes!!! I never sat down..even on the salads! 😂
"BALLADS "
When saw this concert as teenagers. I knew this man was something special 💜💜💜🔥🔥🔥
I was there flew in from Detroit stopped and got some bbq and straight to the concert 💜💜💜😎🤘🔥🖤 I'm playing bass right now because of that man
This is my favorite line up 😂😂🤘🤘💜💜💜😎
I WAS THERE!!!
Me too

Best era of Prince by far
This is the era of Prince that made me a Prince lover
Agreed, Purple Rain hit right after this. Good Times 💜
I love the sign o the times period.Thats why I dropped out of school and became a songwriter/ musician but I love this period so much too. From 81 until 90 he was untouchable.I cried like a baby when he was taken from us.Hit me so hard.He will be with me until the day I die.❤
This is when PRINCE was PRINCE
WOW... the way those analog keyboards sounded back then!!!!!
Agreed! Lisa’s intermission song is fucking beautiful sounding
@@liquidninja6654it really is - never heard this before. This really captures this eras colorsa
• Ticket price: $15.65

I was at the concert
Vanity 6 and the Time got the crowd warmed up and Prince gave us HEAD
I was at his first two in Houston
Man when he came out in the Trench with the garters and speedo we went crazy
We had seen Parliament with a man in a diaper so it didn't faze us because he was the Truth,a great performer
Yes!
He fucked me up 😅
I'd pay $600 for that line up in 2024. just to see and hear them one more time
I seen this tour! Good old days.
The “Revolution” in my opinion was his best band. The energy level and musicianship were high level and made an awesome party atmosphere. Love them❤
Absolute agree
Agree 🙌🏾💜
The Sign Of The Band was his best
Prince's peak of success was during the Purple Rain era. The music and the film set him over the top during the mid 80's.
Amen!
I was at the show right after this one. In San Antonio. Yes, the one after he fired Terry and Jimmy. I was close enough to see Prince playing behind the curtain for Vanity 6 and The Time. Wow that’s amazing and you should be proud to have witnessed that!!!! ✊🏾🥁
I always heard that story of him playing bass behind curtains on that show.
It must have been strange
for you to see him having to do that.
I think I'm Terry offspring
That’s rad. Thank you fo ya service man!! I read that T&J missed a show? Prince loved playin in the H-Tizzy

I know y'all don't know this but back in the day Prince had a huge, I mean Big dude ... bodyguard his name was Chick.

Like he sat right beside me. No he didn't speak to me nothing like that but his thigh was right beside my thigh barely touching . Almost lost mind Hahahaha. My girl was to my right she was tripping man squeezing my arm whispering it's Prince it's Prince.
Damn near cut off circulation in my arm 😂😂😂
I was sitting there being cool.
I'll Never forget that .. trench coat and some stockings hahaha
But then like the old saying every true story ends in death ...
I think a part of all of us died and went dark inside when he passed.
One of those moments when you stop
you can't believe it and you struggle to catch your breath.
We've all read the stories and I've done some research and looked into it and thought to myself if only there was somebody there that could have cared for him , protected him fought for him, ( when he was struggling with this and couldn't fight for himself)
loved him to have helped him through the struggle he would still be here.
When he passed out on that plane during his piano and microphone tour that was the warning then.
Somehow he didn't have the strength or support
Somebody to stand in the gap grab him up and love him back to life
That cryptic thing that he said don't waste your prayers on me yet. Death was near... So sad and Fkdup😢
Then barely a short time after he was gone.
I cried you cried we all cried from the deepest part of us for him.
There was something magic and special and blessed somewhat visceral powerful passionate intelligent persuasive loving engaging seductive
Inspiring about what came out of him to us. We still feel it. Especially if we were there during his time.
Miss him still...
Do me a favor
There's a song I want y'all to look up it's a very simple song you probably don't know it.
But please look the song up and listen to the lyrics it will touch your very soul.
It's simply called
" FREE"
This simple yet beautiful and haunting Melody personifies everything that he was.
Let me know what y'all think .
Love you Prince Rogers Nelson.
Always did always will.
May u Live 2 C the Dawn
You had quite the experience and lasting memories. That’s awesome 👏🏽!!
🕊️☮️
Prince sat next to you? 🤯 lucky doesn't even start to describe you! 💜
I love this. Comment so much!! I’m just 16 but I love free haha :) :)
Yeah he definitely sat beside me I'll never forget that.
Also my cool 16 year old friend I'm so glad you listened to " Free"
Isn't it the coolest thing you ever heard.
Remember the song "Sometimes it snows in April"
There's a verse in it that says
Those kind of cars don't pass you everyday.
I seen Prince during his Purple Rain Tour as a teenager!! Missing you both with a broken heart 💔🥲
Love, always and forever, Anita 🙏💔❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜💜💜🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💜💜💜❤️❤️
One of the best tours ever!
Prince looks like he is having a damn good time on the stage! Fabulous artist and entertainer.
What are your top 3? 1999 and?
@@scneil7650 Dirty Mind and Sign of Times
Saw this live!
I never got to see Prince live in concert …
and I still hate it to this day !!!😔
So glad we still have footage of him.😢
To share with the newer generations.
Wonderful Prince forever !!!!!
Wow, this is great.... greatness. EPIC Prince. Thank u so much for posting !❤❤❤❤
Oh yeah we were there! February 1982. Milwaukee Arena. The GREAT Dez Dickerson on guitar and Mark Brown on bass. Great band. HIGH ENERGY. Loved em. After he disbanded THiS band.....I WAS GONE, TOO. No thanks.
❤
I am so blown away ay this concert. i was young and media was not like it is today. We were lucky to catch him on Soul train. Prince was so ahead of his time. this was before Purple Rain. The boy was so bad. RIP to the great one. Blessings.
THANK YOU DON'T. EVER STOP THE MUSIC. THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE AWAY. THE MUSIC. NOBODY IS GETTING IT❤❤❤😊
I was at the Oakland, California show!!!! My favorite Prince era!!!! ❤❤❤
I miss him so much…🙏🏻 I still cry when I think of him…
He was an incredible musician!
I hope you are resting in Eternal Peace Prince…❤️❤️🙏🏻💐
You are SO MISSED!😢😢
The king of all concerts right here.
My pleasure!! Glad u enjoyed!
🕊️☮️
The 1980s era was my favorite!
I attended the 1999 concert in St. Louis, Missouri. The Time and Vanity 6 performed. Awesome concert.
I just got out of the time machine. ..this was Badddddd concert yes indeed. .P forever ..June 7 prince day💜💜💜💜
Omfg so unspeakably good....phenomenal. Saw the man 3 times in my lifetime.....best artist ever!!!!
You’re so right and lucky 🍀 to have witnessed someone so talented!!!! 😊🥁
DONT. STOP THE MUSIC❤❤❤
🕊️☮️
Oh… and my mom took my Lovesexy tickets and went with my grandmother - too funny 😂… at least they didn’t go to waste.
RIP!
@@duane.PrinceDMSR😂😂😂awesome story!
@@brucesmith1754Such a cool story! We all miss the Artist!!! 😢
Saw this tour at the Capital Center near D.C. and it was insane. The Time and Vanity 6 opened for him. Now that was a wild funky night.
The band as a whole were so talented. They took songs to a higher level. Funky pop rock. This period of time was the best for music. Mixing styles with ease.
Thank You So Much!
You're welcome! 🕊️☮️
Great memories ❤❤❤ I was 13 years old back then. Definitely miss.
My first Prince show was April 8, 1983, Joe Louis Arena, Detroit. I sat in the upper bowl, 26th row. The Time and Vanity 6 opened. I was 13 years old and I remember it like it was yesterday.
I remember paying 23 dollars to see that concert💜💜💜💜
This tour changed my life 03/29/1983 San Diego Sports Arena
Lol ! I was there also. San Diego sports arena

This tour came to Toledo Ohio in February 1983. I HAD to go with my sister. I was only 11, I had no idea what I was witnessing until a year later when Purple Rain dropped. RIP. I miss you Sis!
💜💜💜💜
Was there at the age of 13. 3rd Row Dead Center on the Floor. This got Me HOOKED and it became the 1st of Exactly 50 Times I Saw Prince in Concert in My Life. All Over Texas for Years, then later in life in Missouri, then the Trek to Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota 💜💜💜💜💜
How could he? A PRINCE and A King at the same daxxm time!
Remarkable!
Excellent Concert!
i want more full concerts,,,,the time and vanity6....love this concert
Amazing! This is a rare video. My room was transported back to the wonderful 80's.
The DVD was included in the Supreme Deluxe Edition of 1999. Unfortunately, I think the Estate has stopped selling it but maybe you can find it second hand. Thank u 4 viewing.

Omg ...this is so beautiful I wish I was there. I still miss prince ..💜💜💜💜 June 7th Prince day
I think this sounded better than the Purple Rain tour, and this is when he still had Dez Dickerson.
RIP PRINCE. 🙏
Best lineup ever💜💜💜
I love this and all its majesty
Saw him perform here in Champaign Illinois on April 10,2004. But show I’d ever seen in my entire life!!!! Love Him!!!!!
Amazing!!!
This was my 2nd Prince show. Just WOW!! Every time I pass by Joel Osteen's church with someone new in the car, I say, "I saw Prince play there several times!"
That is Awesome History and Knowledge about PRINCE!!!
Love Prince
wonderful - love so much - PRINCE - and his people
How come u don’t call me should have been on the 1999 album 💜💜💜💜💜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bloomington was the best show hands down
@belafontejames667 Easy way to stay sane, in a world where insanity runs ramped. BIBLE STUDY.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The band is super tight on “Do Me Baby”… I love it.
I am glad that this is on utube so everyone can see and hear what great music suppose to sound like.

It’s not lost on me that Houston, NY, & Detroit were always truly In tune with him, on the 1 and on the energetic pulse
WOW!
One of AP’s fav shows Prince did. He knew all of the moves for this show, all of the choreo. He was Portland’s best DJ & a big fan. Now deceased sadly.
Extra-ordinary Artist .. never again
I was there. 14 years old. Lower left Mezzanine off the floor. I could see everything including Prince, Jam, Lewis, Lisa, and Jill Jones playing behind a curtain for Vanity 6.
LOVe this _ The revolution made it complete. I was 2 young this time but I wish I was there, 💜💜💜💜
This is where Bobby Z started triggering the Linn LM-1 with the Simmons SDS-V drum pads on this tour! 💯💯💜💜
Jep! :D Thanks! Anna,Christine,Tinja&Markku 🌹
❤❤❤❤❤.....
🕊️☮️
I was at the Providence Rhode Island show in early 1983!
I know!!!
The tickets were 23 dollars. Cobo Hall came alive.
I’ve seen PRINCE 3 times
Thats me in the front row wearing the black t-shirt.
Why not, everybody else said they were there. 😂
Yes, I sometimes smile at the comments - everyone was there and met him at the after party - haha 🤣.
🕊️☮️
Love this thank you
That synth interlude that starts at the 21:28 mark in this video is just...gorgeous!
Lisa Coleman is gorgeous
Opened with Controversy!

Tank you✌👍🙏🎸🎤🎹🎶🎧🌎👍✌
Despite achieving considerably more commercial success with the Purple Rain Album released in 1984,
the body of work that Prince produced through 1978-1982 was by far his best work in my humble opinion . . .
The lyrics conjured up imaginative and euphoric visuals. 🤩
The music also felt raw especially in comparison to the “lush arrangements” he incorporated into later productions.
However, the musicianship was always on point from start to finish throughout his entire legendary career.
Rest In Glorious Peace! 😔
💜
🔥🔥🔥
Cool 💯😎 Salute
Detroit was the number one show his second home
Best of his bands ever real tight and aggressive
Def an encore missing here 😉
I attended the New Orleans show! Thanks for the upload!
