HDFCC 2024 Update

Paul Chervenak from the Piast Institute and the Hamtramck Drug Free Community Coalition gives a quick update to the community on some of the recent 2024 work including the distribution of updated birth date signs to vendors so that they can use this tool (translated into 4 languages) to identify underage people attempting to purchase alcohol, marijuana, and tobacco including vapor products. The coalition also updated required Youth Tobacco Act signages at vendor locations so they are compliant according to state and federal laws, increasing compliance rates in Hamtramck. In addition, the coalition designed and produced "We ID" tshirts for vendor employees to wear.
