I've been watching your videos for years. You're just so real! You always give great advice and today's rant so many people need to hear. I'm a very happy introvert also. Occasionally I go out to meetings in my social circle community and then head back home so I don't have to put up with anybody's BS. Keep it real talk and thanks for the great advice you always give!

I've care-given my father, my oldest daughter, and my lovely wife.. all terminal. Living on 2-3 hours, sleep for years. Heavy grief! Restructuring has been very difficult. I never ever felt so alone.. for 4-5 years.
But God is helping me stand up again.

Great video doc, this really resonates with me, rant and all. I rarely feel lonely, but I'm always alone. Live alone, I work remotely, workout alone, and go out on weekends by myself. As an introvert by nature, it doesn't really bother me because, ironically, I can easily adjust in social situations. Honestly, I enjoy my personal space. After being in a long term relationship of 17 years, that went bad in the pandemic and having to live with relatives for a while, I got me an apartment in an area I like. I definitely plan to be more social as summer is around the corner, and this norcal weather is getting nicer.

Great video Dr...I'm from London 🇬🇧 . I'm lonely because nowadays women have high expectations of what they want from a man (because of society, social media,) I find women don't want to date anymore and they don't want to have a serious loving relationship. Women are also very cold and hard to approach/get chatting to, they just shut you down, a lot of us men live in a sexless society, I myself suffer from lonliness which causes depression and anxiety, I'm a fairly good looking guy, keep fit, lift weights got a nice job, earn good money, got my own house, no kids... But still it's not good enough,.. It dos affect my mental mood, especially when I can't get the basic necessities as a human being.. Love, sex, intamacy, companionship etc... Its a horrible world/time us men are going through... I'm not the only one, a lot of men I speak to feel the same 😢

You are articulating the reality of the modern man
Especially those of us who gave our best and found ourselves here
Yes it sounds like victim mode I’m speaking from but I’ve fought against some brutal circumstances
And have come out the other side
But I isolated from shame of failure despite great effort and now I want to step into the light
    Now that I’m ready to
I find myself with my amazing son about to launch after I got him back ( lost him to a psychopathic damaging mother)
    Totally alone
Pushed that boulder up the hill for restoration of my son and myself and now I’m just hoping that my son does not wind up on a path as he has to face societies pathologies
    You’ve helped Dr

Don’t think women have this mastered though. Female relationships can be complicated and I’ve never had a group of girlfriends. Thank you for this video. I thought it was just me.....and I thought it was because I am a gay man. But I realize, it doesn't make a difference straight or gay.....men in general just feel alone in the world. Dr. Sam you made some really great points here.....and I really believe the internet plays a major role in this like you stated. Plus I think many people in general, have become lazy or anxiety driven to go out in general into a social setting because if the subject turns to politics, the hate\debate thing happens and people begin to close off from each other and feel like being alone again. Thank you again for the video.....if anything, it confirmed what I have been feeling....but for me, alone.....but not lonely.....more of a feeling of isolation. That sounded pretty much like me "feeling alone in a group when everyone is laughing and having fun". Maybe thats some personality issue. I had a friend once who with I connected really well in sports, music and women etc but he got family and lives 6 hours away and is probably stressed all that family life.
Ive got some friends with playing tennis (that took years to find people in same tennis level since it doesnt make much sense to play with someone who is in very different level). Then I started karate, being there for about 4 years which has come kind of a family. But both those are just hobby things, we dont hang out outside those sports. I talk some people at gym but thats also hobby thing.
I try to get some music related friend since that connects a lot.

Loneliness is due to a lack of connection. It has nothing to do with the people around us. It is possible to be alone and feel connected to someone far away. It is also possible to be surrounded by people and feel a barrier because no one understands your pain or what you are going through. The worst form of loneliness is to be an island of anguish in an ocean of humanity. We feel lonely because we are trapped in our private torments, with no means of relief, because what we go through is personal, and no one can walk in our shoes. There is no shame in loneliness. It is part of the world.

I know this may sound sad but this is why A.I. synthetic girlfriends will be big in the future, it's already started but will only grow I bet plus the dating game now let's be honest kind of stinks, women have insane standards as I'm sure you've heard the viral videos with the tik tok videos, the social media stuff a lot of guys are hesitant for a plethora of reasons. Also for guys like me who don't drive I don't have the luxury it's very tough to just "get out" my friend's have been saying this for years but don't understand without a car that's a bit of a challenge. @@drsamrobbins I agree that is shouldn't be a deal breaker but where I live a lot of women care about that. I live in NYC, quite a few women have told me(just friends/co-workers etc) if a guy that wants to date them doesn't drive it's a dealbreaker. I'm sure not every women on Earth feels this way but I feel like the bigger cities, they tend to be more shallow in my opinion and from my past experience. A country girl and European one may be more forgiving with something like that.

I guess as I was growing up my mother would always tell me: the only friends you got are your balls and they will still betray you one of these days. Nevertheless the less I’ve always listened and followed that inner voice of mine. I stand alone, walk alone and feel blessed by Jesus. Have a woman but I really don’t feel like I need friends around me. I think better, I see things very different much clearer on my own. Have a lot of friendship but no friends. For a healthy body and brain, longterm.. you want to get results.. naturally... Let them waste their health, their time... and focus on becoming the best NATURAL version you can be!
