I've always been a Les Paul guy.....my favorites are my mid-70's cream Custom and late-80's cherry sunburst Standard. Back in 2014, i ordered a Dean Cadillac 1980 (black w/gold hardware) and am TOTALLY blown away with it!! Fit, finish, and play-ability are second to none and even the stock pu's sing & sustain beautifully. I'll put my Cadi right up there with my LP's any day of the week.....and for a fraction of the price!! Way to go Dean, and major kudo's to your outstanding team :)
I have the 1st Dean USA Dimeslime, Pat and the guys did a great job. 8 years later I've got some electronics issues (still stock) but I play her everyday, any guitar that is played daily for 8 years will need maintenance.
@@Cold_Hearted_World I had to redo some of the wiring because it was grounding out, causing noise. All good and back to 1000 percent. I live a couple of blocks from the ocean the salty air takes no prisoners lol.
@@manley1979 also an FYI a Dean dealer today advised both our guitars were painted by the same bloke who worked in the Washburn custom shop 20 years ago and was hired by Dean because of the good work he did on Dimes Washys in the 90’s
Love Dean Guitars. While I cannot afford anything made in this factory, their higher end offshore manufactured guitars are awesome. Great value. Great quality & they look fantastic. Dean does build a superior product, PERIOD!
The new made in India classic 1980 series or just classic series are just as good maybe better than the select series. I've got 2 select series Dean guitars and just got one of the new classic Cadillacs and it's just amazing and even though it's cheaper to buy it's amazing !

I only only play American made guitars but I took a chance on a ML select 7 string and I'm blown away by it. I'm currently looking to pull the trigger on another Dean Select guitar. I'm torn between a Z and ML atm.
Did you get the Z !? I did ! It's awesome ! The only way you can get a better Dean guitar is the USA made a they are better wood, that's about it. My select series Z is mind blowing ! I now know why Gibson sued them, Deans imports are better than Gibson USA at the time of lawsuits that's why Gibson sued Dean, to be anti competitive and it's disturbing and not capitalist at all, very communist of Gibson and I won't buy their guitars from them ever again just for that one reason ! Gibson is ran by communist, especially that Guy on all the Gibson TV, not Mark but the other guy. Fuck communists !
Unfortunately they don’t have USA versions that have amazing quality with a good price point. I know Fender doesn’t do anything flashy but you get a solid American made guitar for $1k whereas Dean has them in Indonesia now for that cost.

I have Dean Vendetta 4 floyd Rose, and it is an amazing guitar. i am thinking to buy a Dean Thoroughbred Select Quilt Top TCS, but i saw that these guitars are made in Indonesia...so... i dont know if i am going to have problems with this guitar, because i dont know if in Indonesia the product is well done. Is there someone that give me a tip about this subject???? Thanks!!
The made on Indonesia world factory guitars are amazing but so are the new made in India classic series are amazing but don't come with Seymour Duncan pickups and tone pro hard ware but still doesn't matter that new made in India Dean guitars are amazing as long as you get a set neck one and not bolt neck.

Love dean guitars but import models have issues. My dean from hells bridge pickup died within a year. And my dime slimes frets are a joke. Do a better job with ur import models dean.
Pretty sad when they show the USA DIME SLIME and that paint Job Looks exactly like the import so the only difference to me between models is the top mount floyd pathetic considering they charge over 3 grand for a USA Model

I contacted them for custom guitar production, they just ignored me, nothing from them. It is not good for any company, they just do what they want and they are not helpful or kind in any way. Also I want to mention that I bought their razorback 5 years ago and graphics on it was completely unacceptable. How could a guitar with such BAD flaws get to distributor? The lowest quality control I have ever seen. Shame on you dean guitars, who screw their buyers, now i know I will spent my money on other guitar brand.
Made in USA huh? Then explain why my brand new MLXL has a sticker on the back that says Made in China? I went with Dean just for the fact of getting a quality made instrument with out the mass production imperfections. Now I have to customize it to my own specifications.
