Both ambassadors agreed that the tension has passed its peak and while the conflict and military alert remain in place, chances of an imminent full-blown war are over
In the thick of the rising spiral of violence in West Asia, CNN-News18 on Tuesday spoke to both the Iranian and Israeli ambassadors in Delhi on the prevailing situation between the two countries.
India has a huge diaspora in the region, which the two ambassadors assured to keep safe.
The Iranian side said their objectives have been achieved by exposing vulnerabilities in Israeli Invincibility and they don’t want further escalation.
“We wanted to send a serious message to Israel that Iran is serious about defending its security and national interest. We exposed Israel’s vulnerability, the Iron Dome propaganda, and invincibility. We wanted to prove that you cannot strike and escape. Any strike should be retaliated against. So Israel cannot destroy an Iranian consulate and escape,” Iranian ambassador Iraj Ilahi told CNN-News18.

I was talking about government stance which is usually pro-Africa, Pro-Asia and Pro-Latin America, and opposes western imperialism. You don't owe me any apology, and you are correct, Iran did NOT contribute to African freedom struggles, but let me explain why: for over a century they were themselves brutalized by Russia from the north and the British from the south. Then their democracy was toppled in 1953 by Americans/British to bring the Shah who was a western puppet and of course he would not fight for Africans. Then after the 1979 revolution they were forced into an 8 year war with Iraq's Saddam who was backed by the west. And since 1979 they have been under sanctions for not submitting to the super power. It is only in the last few years that they have been able to push back against the bullies, so they really haven't had a chance to help themselves, forget about Africa. But I was talking about their state-run media and how they portray Africa versus their western colonizers. It's a very lengthy topic and you can find material online about Iran's expanding relations with Sudan, South Africa, Nigeria, Niger, Algeria, Ethiopia, not to mention support for Gaddafi's pan-African currency and ambitions for an independent Africa, which as you know was thwarted by the west. Yes, another remarkable thing is that Iran was dominated by Russia for 100-200 years and most of the countries ending with -Stan were part of the Persian empire, but annexed by Russians. From those times to the Iran-Iraq war time when Saddam was sold Russian missiles to attack civilian areas in Iran, the Russians today cooperate with Iran and buy drones and missiles from them, and sell then Su-35s in return. That is quite a journey for a country under sanctions for 45 years. They wish the same for Africa, whose potential can never be realized unless the Europeans leave them alone.

India like it's past government leader needs to remain neutral to foreign conflict that has no bearing on india.
