Motorcycle Camping: Overnight On White Pass, Washington

- This officially kicks off our motorcycle camping season with and overnight on White Pass in Washington.
The gang met up at Eric's house in Vancouver to hang out with his frenchies before heading out. We cruise the back roads into Camas and take hwy 14 east. The beautiful weather at this point lulled us into a false sense of security. John even removed his rain gear.
We were on 97 north when the rain started, it rained on us all the way into Yakima and it lightened up a bit as we got onto hwy 12 towards White pass.
We spend the night at Hause Creek Campground where we cook dinner using the travel grill and Kate and Keith go on bit of a ghost adventure. We had a wonderful evening that night.
The following day was pretty much just getting home. We were tired from all the rain riding, the 2 hour breakfast was frustrating and after going over White pass it was pretty much freeway riding.
It was a wonderful evening.

Great video. Great scenery and great friends. I’m sure it was a great trip. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm pretty stoked how this one worked out
WOW!! some great content. So glad I found your channel and can't wait to go back through all your videos 🤘🤘
Much appreciated my brotha
Nothing sucks as bad as a freezing cold night in a tent.
It was a brutal one!
0:16 I’m thinking your Subscriber count would pass 1000 if you made a video about your cats! 😻😺😸😽
Keep up the great work. Love the channel!
That’s great! My wife would love that as well!
Good job guys....have you looked into your Alaska trip riding the highway up and then taking the ferry back down? That’s the way I’d do it.
Thanks. We’ve talked about doing that but so far we are all interested in seeing it from both directions.
The internet connects kindred spirits. Keith and friends are in Washington... I'm in Atlanta, and commented a few hours ago on one of his videos. Within minutes he replied. Favorably. "Birds of a feather... "
The first time I did a long cross country, was from Atlanta to Salt Lake. I had such great encounters with other bikers along the way. Going through Kansas, a blisteringly hot 97 degrees, and I passed an old woman, biker on I-70. She had a Connecticut license plate Riding a very old dirty Yamaha Virago 500. Her machine was no trailer queen. The bike was as old and weathered as she. Not meaning that in a bad way. As far as I'm concerned, when I see a woman that looks old, I want to engage her in conversation, because I'm sure I have a lot to learn from her. Both her and her steed looked like they had earned the character they both exhibited. She was a very short little lady. In fact, even though the Virago 500 has a short seat height, her seat had had material removed. The bike had a sissy bar, and as such, her gear was attached to it. As I approached from behind, going faster than her, All could see was the very top of her little chrome quarter helmet. I slowed to match her speed. If I had to guess she was in her late 70's. With long straight mostly grey hair, braided into two long pigtails. AND, she was wearing goggles. Probably prescription goggles. We waved, and she had the biggest smile. I really wanted to chat with her, but was afraid that if I motioned for her to pull over, she may be scared.
All I could think at that moment was how lucky I was feeling, just to have seen her. I was thinking about her, and at that moment was imagining that she probably had great senses of both humor, and adventure. Motorcycling brings together the ones who hear their own drums.
I bet that lady had the greatest stories!
We just got back from a trip on sunday where we were lucky enough to ride the little dragon in Oregon and Hells canyon in Idaho on the same day, I'm looking forward to editing these videos and sharing them with you.
If you dig much further back into our videos your really going to see how far we have come production wise. When we started this channel we did everything on our cell phones and didn't have a computer to edit the footage.
My whole reason for starting the channel was because I've been on so many trips that I dont remember like I want to. This allows me to re live these trips and hopefully people such as yourself gets a kick out of them as well.
@@OldFriendsandNewRoads I watched the videos Keith. Seriously enjoying your content, my friend. What I said about my buds..... I have two really good friends, Doug, and Kreigh, that I've known since junior high school. Irreplaceable people, and I know you know what I mean. You know you're great friends, when even at the age of 61, spending time with them, and havin a drink, takes you back to fifteen years of age. Sneekin dad's beer, the neighbor girl there, scoffing at us "immature boys" , laughing our tails off. Now, we laugh at other things, and memories of each other. Smoking our first, rag weed joint together. BTW, the neighbor girl married my best friend, and nearly thirty-eight years later, they're still married, and she still scoffs at us silly guys. Good friends are the people that know all your faults and still love you. I can see you have that going on....
Love Zelda!!!
me too! Name is spot on
