Watching from Scotland, getting some great ideas from you guys! Love your work and hi to everyone at your crew. Just sorry we missed you at Sturgis last year.
IT definitely took us by surprise. Not that we didn't expect some beautiful scenery, but as you know sometimes the last day of a trip can be so-so. This ended up being one of the coolest roads we've seen to date! Thanks for tuning in, Matt. We hope you can get up there and see it too one of these days👍
Just watched this with my wife. Great to see my wife get into and enjoy the 2Lanelife channel as much as I do. One thing she said and I totally agree is she loves how you guys highlight a business owner’s place of business. What a kind way to give back. Always a joy watching you all enjoy life and all the beautiful open roads.
Hwy 20 East to West is the best direction. My favorite ride in the state is to take Hwy 2 from Everett east the Leavenworth, then past Lake Chelan to Winthrop and back on Hwy 20. The scenery is amazing
First off I want to thank you for adding my comment from the last Canada video to the end of this one 🙏 All you guys inspire us other riders to get out and ride, and to add more adventures to our journey’s. Can’t wait for your next 2 lane road trip!!!
Great video. Lived in WA state for 7 years and 20 was my favorite road (by far). Diablo Lake and Washington Pass is some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever taken in. You definitely picked a great one…
The Mrs. and I ride Highway 20 at least once a year (we live in Tacoma). It never ceases to amaze me with its splendor and its beauty. It’s the Alps of America. I’m glad you guys got to experience it and had mostly good weather. Hope to see you in the PNW again soon. Love the channel.
Welcome to my part of the country! If I had known you were coming this way, I would have met up and ridden with you folks. I have watched all of your videos and have enjoyed them all. My wife and I are transplants from Santa Clarita and San Diego and moved up here in 2003! And yes, SR 20 is one of the best motorcycle roads in the country. My friends and I ride this road multiple times per year. Thanks for posting this!
You guys put out such a great Production, it so surprising how little views you get compared to the quality of this content! Howdy from Down Under! And wish you guys all the best towards 1 million subs!
Thanks for the support!! We're chuggin' along with growth little by little. Just gonna keep doing what we do and enjoying it in the process and the rest will follow suit. See you down the road!
The Cascades are fantastic. Unfortunately closed last time I wanted to go, Stephens Pass is pretty darn good. There's no dull roads up here. Other than the I5. Recommend you come back and go through the San Jauns and out the Olympic peninsula
Which seat do you guys prefer? I currently have a Saddleman Road Sofa on my 2014 Ultra Limited, but man, that thing is HARD! I've looked at the Harley Hammock and Sundowner, but I'd appreciate your input. Hope to "see you down the road" sometime. Thanks. Don
An Air Hauk seat pad is cheaper, and it allows this 69 yr old rider to go 250-300 miles farther each day. So that's up to 1000 miles a day coming down for Sturgis from Alaska. Prior I could do 6-700 only.
I'm lucky enough to be able to ride HWY 20 North Cascades HWY 8-10 times a year. While it does have some absolutely stunning views, it's still not the "Best Motorcycle Road Trip" in Washington but it can be part of it. Starting in Metaline Falls take 31 south to 20. In Colville get on 395 and ride to 25 in Kettle Falls. Take 25 south to the Inchelium-Gifford Ferry and enjoy the boat ride across the Columbia. Coming into Inchelium take Bridge Creek Rd. Follow Bridge Creek Rd over the mountains (some of the absolute best twisties out there) to HWY 21. Follow 21 North to Republic where you rejoin HWY 20 and head onto Tonasket where you connect to HWY 97. Follow 97 South to Okanogan and then hop back on 20. Follow 20 like you did to HWY 530. Use caution as most of this route has limited to no cell service and the entire route is full of deer and other pesky wildlife.
Many years ago I was in Winthrop. Now I don't like licorice, but my then wife did. She went into the Emporium and bought licorice ice cream. Her tongue and lips were completely BLACK.
November 4th 12-4pm! We've sent out a handful of emails to our newsletter subscribers ( 2lanelife.com/ ) and a few posts on social media. All updates will be found there as well as upcoming Thursday livestreams until then. We hope to see you out here!
Nothing against bikes, every year i hear more and more people getting killed on these things. Sad stories i hear. Plus know 2 women that are in wheel chairs. Plus a few people that walk funny.
Some interesting data: "According to the latest motor vehicle crash death count by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), there were 1,502 car occupant deaths and 586 motorcycle rider or passenger deaths in California reported in 2023."
Elvis Presley sang "little more action and a lot less talking". Your videos have become a whole lot of talking and not much of the scenic ride. Thumbs down on this video.
Sweet!!! You took highway 530!! Riding under those trees through Darrington towards I-5 is a ride you just never forget. Beautiful. I've probably commented multiple times encouraging you guys to ride western Washington because it's just a really perfect place to ride in the summer. I know you guys roll 1000 miles out from LA all the time....to more dry desert places, I get it lol. It's OK to do that in winter. But let me tell ya, if 1000 miles is acceptable, anybody looking for a great ride and wonderful break from sweltering death summer heat, would do themselves a solid by going to western Washington. The eastern 2/3rds is just like everything west of the rockies in summer. Hot. Dry. Brown. Dusty. Blah. The western side is green, alive, mild, beautiful in summer. Stays below the 90's more often than not. Cool every night. Sleep like a baby. If you want a great ride and a break from scorching dread in summer, ride western Washington. Not a bad diversion out of the way, headed to Sturgis too. Mt. Ranier National Park is wonderful too.
Dude! How did I miss this until 10 days later? I've been singing the praises of this ride for 20 years. I rode it on labor day weekend about 20 years ago, on my 1982 Suzuki GS 1150E. Amazing views, pool table smooth road, 50 mph limit most of the way. But since you can only really count on one state trooper per side of the pass, and it's over 100 miles between gas stations, you can spend infinite amounts of time red lining it to the moon if you want. Bring some warm layers just in case. The elevation gets it 20+ degrees cooler than down below.
My first trip on highway 20 was about 19 years ago and it was on a 1981 FXWG shovelhead. In my opinion, the only way to experience this road is on a motorcycle. I've ridden it many times since then and it NEVER gets old.
Nice video keep up the good work 2 LaneLife
Thanks Marcus!
😍🤩another wonderful video👍
Thanks for watching, Marco!!
Amazing series and this country is so beautiful! Thanks for the awesome videos!!
Thanks Jim! Plenty more where that came from. We're dropping some SoCal ride videos then we'll be hitting our next big adventure soon👍
Watching from Scotland, getting some great ideas from you guys! Love your work and hi to everyone at your crew. Just sorry we missed you at Sturgis last year.
The 20 Looks amazing. There's seriously so many great roads in the US. You could spend a lifetime just exploring without leaving the country.

That town of Winthrop WA looked super cool...
It definitely was!

Its so nice following you tubers like you guys and others! It lets this Alaska rider enjoy motorcycling while shoveling snow!
Glad you could come along and enjoy some good times along the way!
Beautiful roads to ride and good friends to enjoy it all. The trip looked amazing!
Thanks Dave!!
Great video. The scenery is beautiful
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for coming along for the ride, Rob👍

Used to ride this and hwy 2 (Cascade Loop) at least twice a year when I was stationed at NAS Whidbey several years ago. Always a great ride.
That lake looks awesome to kayak in great view
That would be awesome!
Highway 20 is my favorite ride, you should try it the other way though because the build up to the peak is much more enjoyable.
Now that you mention it, that sounds like the way to do it! Thanks for tuning in, Lucas🙌
Excellent!
if you can do visit Mt. Rainer. Awesome riding in state of WA.
Algorithm. 🤘🏻

out of curiosity, how much did this whole trip cost?
Any info on the open house?

Yea it really was something! That was one helluva way to end the trip! Good times had by all. Thanks for tuning in, Steven!
