I live near Haym Solomon and have visited Jim's grave a few times -- loved him in my high schol years and was shocked when he passed in my first year of college.
Recently brought my bro, who was visiting from Charlotte, to pay our respects.

Jim grew up in Upper Darby, my parents were from there too. About 15 years ago I was leafing through my mom's 1951 UD HS yearbook and noticed a guy with a last name of Croce (I think his first name was Richard). Anyway, I asked my mom if he was any relation to Jim, she says, "Oh yeah, that's his older brother, they lived a few blocks over from us." I said, "Mom, you knew them? This is huge" She said, "Eh, if you say so." SMH

My favorite singer to listen to growing up (in my 40s). Played his record all the time on my fisher price player. To this day, Jim is my favorite. So much appreciation for him and his music. Thanks for the video Dave!

The song was 'Bad, Bad Leroy Brown', not 'Big, Bad Leroy Brown', and it was my favourite Jim Croce song. I remember it fondly from my childhood having grown up in the 1970's. :)
UA-cam told me big bad. I just assumed i was hearing it wrong. Guess i wasnt. I should have double checked. Ohh well… 🤷🏻

Hi Dave I hope you will reply to this I love Jim Croce great singer songwriter I lived during the early ' 70s so I remember him when the plane crashed he was in Louisiana getting ready to go to his next gig....his record label was ABC Records it was owned by the ABC television network
