Great review thanks! I'm looking at the rim brake version to freshen up a nice 20 year old Time frame and you've given me a good view of what to expect.
I have the rim brake version on my tandem. Wireless was complete game changer for installing on a tandem. I agree about the buttons on right lever. I have a problem with my hands going numb and I have a little problem feeling the shifts. Have to be very deliberate with the pressing of the buttons. One interesting note, I was able to use a 11x40 rear cassette by removing a little plastic nut from B screw so it would screw in further and give me a little more clearance. Love the tortoise!
Amazing video. I have the feeling it is very honest. I appreciate the honesty more than any bull…. other videos show. Great work. Is your dial 100% done? Do you use casual or race mode?
Nice runthrough of the reality of living with the Wheeltop system. You mention that the battery level via App is... well... meh ;-) Does it pair correctly with a head unit? In particular does it provide useful information about battery status? Less important, does it show gears correctly?
Thanks! I did connect it briefly with my Wahoo, but I've never found it particularly useful and didn't run it long enough to verify if it was any more accurate than the app. It's a pretty minor issue overall, I just use it until the mech flashes red and then charge it.
@@FullBeansCyclingCompany Interesting. Is that flashing light obvious or do you make a habit to check? On the LTWOO I've worked with, it is very subtle and I barely ever see a light. So I've failed to get in the habit of looking for it.
@@tiagosantos_ss I’ve seen a few others mention rattling, but I haven’t noticed anything. My SRAM Force etap levers were awful for rattling so maybe I’m more tolerant of it
lol that right button is a double tap. Two function button. Half press is programmable. Full press is the shift. Press it half way and watch the light on the hood😉
@@FullBeansCyclingCompanywatch the green light on the hood. Press it half way. Does it light up green? I can’t find in the app to assign it to my cycling computer.
I've installed 5 L-TWOO er9 and just bought an erx for 210eur. I've had 3 RDs die for no reason. These Chinese electronic groupsets are first generation. Do not expect them to perform reliably on par with Shimano, it's unreasonable. China is also known to release and iterate, because they work where the factory is, so they basically release beta products without telling you. At 600+ GBP, this (mini) groupset makes no sense whatsoever. Either pay 400 or max 500 USD for it, or get second hand Shimano or SRAM. Once you've bought a complete groupset, if you're not saving hundreds, then buy Shimano. At least for the next two years, giving them time to iterate the most obvious flaws (and there are plenty)
You were given this for free, so the title effectively asks whether it is worth nothing?! Somehow, this isn't a good start for a video like this, and I couldn't bring myself to watch for long, even though I'm actually interested in the product. Somehow, it never felt as if I would get any useful information.
Thanks Harry, exciting for the industry

@@IPlodAllDay Thanks! Yeah it’s definitely not perfect, but they have told me they’re ironing out the issues I’ve raised.
Jajajajaja was craving for attention
I run a 13 speed rear cassette from rotor and a 12s chain. Needed a 2mm spacer to get clearance but works good so far as a 2x13.
Wheeltop just bought rotor 😂. Saw this coming.

Next time let Donatello do the talking about the groupset.. 🤣
That's a fast looking bike. Thanks for sharing and remember. Ride Save brother
Great looking and functioning groupset, did you forget to put some handlebar tape on?
Marginal gains? 🤭
Nice wheelset, what brand and model are they?
They're custom built. I ordered some rims from LightBicycle and found some Enve hugs on Ebay
Great video i'm thinking about buying one to put on a new build at the year of the year

Did the levers rattle with you? Thanks

1000 kms!? That is not much. I believe this groupset requires much more finicking than the other major brands. Please present your cohost!
