9 speed Sora works so well, I can't see much potential benefit to electronic shifting. Going back many decades ago, I couldn't see going back to friction shifting. The facility of immediate shifts is a huge advantage. Free of significant climbs, competition riding solo, the dirt cheap Sora fits the needs admirably. Also with dry non English weather, cables work great. Such are the ramblings of a long term cyclist in his dotage! I do feel your combined pain. @@micks61 thanks Mick 👍 At this point I'm glad I didn't pay Shimano SRAM money because the experience is so different I feel like it's more a case of which system a rider prefers rather than one being better than the other. Obviously this could change with further use. 😁🚴
