Beautiful build! I just have to say the tire/wheel width ratio is pretty rough and might be impacting you aerodynamically, fairly significantly probably, over the length of an ultra. If it works it works but going down to a 30 might be a great compromise on wider rims.

Decathlon sell a water bottle with a cover that clips over the spout, keeps it clean from wheel spray etc

If the framebag is too stiff, simply pull out the carbon struts - Tailfin designed these to be removable as far as I know.

I think that calling it groupset it way too much.

Highly recommend the BBB Bag brace if you ever want to run a larger saddle pack without sway

I can't believe you're the only person I've seen who's reviewed a groupset and has said how big SRAM/Shimano hydraulic shifters are! Good to see a brand making nice small shifters, its why I've been using mechanical disc brakes, to avoid the massive shifters!

Thirty years ago a bike industry insider told me that the best solution for our crummy roads was a steel frame with a carbon fork. Things haven’t changed. It’s even more true now with wide, low pressure tyres.

Man i was waiting for this video to come out 🔥 also, if you don't care about internal routing at the handlebar level, rose makes a flat top flared 36 to 40 handlebar (GF aero attack or something like that). cheap as chips, been running it on my TCR for a few months and they are really good. unfortunately they dont make an internally routed version (yet)

40+ years ago, my brother used to play tennis at Calshot and I would ignore that and go and watch the cycling instead. Nice to see that it's still there.

I keep old inner tubes around for instances like shifter slipping. Cut a peice of the inner tube and wrap it around the bar prior to mounting the shifter.

Thank you for posting this and bringing racing back to Calshot. I learned to ride track at Calshot around 1998/9 and have happy memories aside from the days when there were wet patches on the track from the condensation. The steep banks taught vital skills making less steep tracks a breeze to go high when swapping off the front. When I first moved to Vancouver, 15 years ago, I went to Burnaby to train. One of the members said I needed a learn to ride course as the "200m track is very tight". The then coach, Jeremy, said "Don't be ridiculous he rides Calshot" LOL.

Great to see and my pet whinge is the number or football pitches all over the UK lots unused and a sport we are 2nd rate at whereas track we are world beaters and need more of these facilities to grow the grass roots for youngsters!
