I love this series. Dr Dyer is wonderful host, I adore her own youtube channel. It was a good choice to choose her to present those fashions. And the red dress is unreal!
That house is beautiful! The evening dress is very elegant and looked lovely on “Virginia”. The house dress is also pretty and the fabric print is so cute. The smoking jacket is very regal and has a sort of Frasier-esque air about it (which Frasier would probably love lol). Honestly, I could see an English Heritage line of clothing based on the styles and print from days gone by.
Another lovely video! I always love seeing what the everyday person might have worn compared to the high class eveningwear of a period- it really brings the whole thing alive!
I absolutely loved this video! Please, if possible, I'd love to see a 1960s fashion as well (or 1950s if 60s is too recent)! That (and retro-futurism) is my favourite style and I'd love to expand my knowledge or see it more on UA-cam! ✨
My thoughts exactly. The modern music takes away from the immersion in history. There is plenty of interesting music from the 1930’s that could have been used.
Obviously, I am the first one to comment today :) Thank you for the beautiful video! I am not especially fond of 1930s fashion, but I enjoyed finding out more about it nevertheless.
The red dress is absolutely lovely. Thank you Serena, Amy and English Heritage for this fascinating glimpse into the fashion life of the Courtaulds!
What I have been waiting for... The 1930s episode 💛
Please do 1920s and 1940s for the future episodes.
This was the set for an episode of Poirot with the main girl named Egg. The vicar dies in front of Poirot at a party in that round room. No spoilers!
Three Act Tragedy!
I thought it looked familiar!

I'd apprechiated if you could.
I love the fashion of the 30's and 40's.
Wow. Forget about the dress (which is gorgeous), but that house is really something👏👏👏

One of my favorite eras for decor and fashion. Evening wear was luxurious.

Love the 1930s shoes
I’m so happy to see a new episode in the series. So excited to learn 👏🏽
Is there any chance for a 1920s fashion episode ? I am very interested in this time period 😢
Thank you for these amazing and informative videos English Heritage!! I love them 😊
I really love these fashion videos!! ❤
Great video but I'd like to have seen it have more period-appropriate music.

The hall reminds me of something from Hercule Poirot. I can't place it.
That one episode where the psychologist and the old man are poisoned, maybe?
3:00 She said dinner, but I was thinking more dessert...
Yay its back!!!
I think you could sneak in mrs Crocombe somewhere in that episode.
The gentleman can easily play Christian Dior 😊
Kate is quite attractive, I wish women still dresses like this.
