Hair can grow from nearly every parts of the human body. Hairs grow out of hair follicles and they can be as densely packed as 100 follicles per cm². But for men in particular, hair follicles can stop growing on the head. Greg Foot explains how hair transplanting works by relocating active hair follicles from other areas of the body and how the process has evolved since it's beginnings back in the 1950s.

Well fellas, if breast implants are widely acceptable and women can spend said money to feed either some form of insecurity and or just something they wanna do to feel better, than I see no difference in men choosing to take up something that (IMO) is worse than breast size issue because at one stage we all had hair (Unless genetic issues) And for some men, it was like watching a limb slowly die off and we had no power to stop it. If you can afford it and want it, go for it.

I’m 23 and losing my hair is killing me. There’s just no other way to put it than it’s just absolutely killing me and can feel like I’m suffocating on the inside. It’s humiliating. Nature has singled me out and I have to suffer through this now while all my friends and guys my age still get to have their hair. I feel depressed a lot of the time because I know my life would be so different today if only I had a full head of hair. People tell me to just wear a hat? Ya ok wear a hat at work at home during sex, in a fancy restaurant, in class (teachers tell me to take it off) and the people who tell me to accept it are always either girls or people who still have hair, it’s so unfair. It kills me that despite being 2021 there still is no real solution for this. I can’t accept this, I just can’t. Losing hair in your early 20s is such a painful experience. Why can’t there just be a real solution to this, just why. Why why why why why. So cruel, I’ve tried everything.

You'd think there would be some medicine for this by now. Pills or some hair regenerating topical solution. You could invest in a good wig, there are people who wear wigs every day and you'd never know! I have a similar insecurity with my head, but I'm too insecure to say it, even here. Wigs can be glued on so that they don't fall off. You could also get a strip of hair glued only in the spot where you're losing hair, I've seen hairdressers perform it. Looks totally natural!

Hair loss affects people completely differently. For most losing hair isn’t really a problem, although for others it may result in psychological & emotional issues. These issues are often connected with how we think others perceive us, and is more often the case for younger men and women who are thinning.

Its so damn easy. I got mine in Mexico for $3700.00 Hotel included. I had to pay for the flight so total was about $4500.00. BAM, I have a full head of hair. I think most people are afraid theirs will go wrong and will look like some kind of freak. NO. These people are very professional.
Did it change my life? No. I haven't really noticed me turning more womens heads or anything but then I'm 56 right?..lol . For me it was mostly personal. I LIKE having hair. I like combing which ever way, parting it on the side, or straight back.
Mostly I want it for when I'm really old. I've never seen a good looking OLD man who was a cue ball.

hair transplants leave either a major strip scar in the back of your head. Or, they leave little dot scars from FUE/punch type hair transplant. Plus hairs plucked from other parts of your head don't grow out in the same direction as where it's being transplanted to. Plus not all transplanted hair stays. In some cases it doesn't 'take'. On top of that the process is over a year, and hair will fall out after transplanted, and 'should' in most cases grow back in. Also, not everyone is a candidate for transplants. If you have 'fine'/not coarse hair you most likely are not a candidate b/c your donor hair is not thick enough. Plus forget about shorter hair cuts on the sides and back to expose scaring. Other options are wigs (which can be very good), or SMP, which when done right looks really good. But, males wigs cary a stigma, even though not as bad as it once ways. I believe someday, unless a cure is found people will accept man wigs more as it's just like fake teeth that so many people have these days. As long as it looks good.

Nice video. It's good to see people educating others on the subject. It's not without it's inaccuracies though, which I guess is to be expected, since you guys are journalists and have to go with the information you are given. For example, no transplant takes 18 months to grow. On average, a hair transplant takes 10 months for us to see the "final" result.

More men with hair seem to worry more about their hair, how it looks and if their losing it. Men who have lost it don't seem to worry about it..If I can't get as many women due to being bald, well that's just another person, stress and shackle I don't have to worry about, and allows me more time to do what I want in life.
And if you ever get any blokes insulting you about being bald, threaten to pull their hair out, it's shuts them up as they dread the thought of losing their vain identity..Shave and tan, great look for the man.

People should really change their opinion about wigs. Wigs are great, most of the time looks better than real hair, and wigs should become just as normal as going to a hair saloon for a haircut. Instead of wasting all those resources on perfecting hair transplant technique, jsut focus on making better wigs, people.

I had a hair transplant 8 months ago. The hair turns up nice (not perfect). Luckily in my country it costs 'just' USD 1 per hair, so not too expensive. Now I am no longer balding, but my bank account is a bit bald as a result 😅. That's said, I might go for a second 'touch up' session just to polish thing a bit. For those living in expensive country to do hair transplant, you might want to travel a bit to get far cheaper price. I am in Malaysia, but I heard Mexico and Turkey is pretty cheap too.
