Your family were our neighbors growing up. Your dad played the organ and all of the parents within earshot would sit on their patios in the evening with a cocktail and enjoy the free concert. Your parents were also friends with the band, Bread. They would jam when they were in town. Such cool memories-
Most men will always like watching women. It’s okay as long as they’re respectful and don’t make the object of their gaze feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Respect

I was 9 yrs old when I first heard this song on the radio. It didn't take long to learn the words. And when nobody was around, including friends and family, I would be in my room and perform this song in front of the mirror. The music back then was so great and I loved to sing those great oldies. It's too bad that I never pursued a music career. I know everyone these days think they'd be a success, but it's much harder to achieve that goal. There are a lot of good singers, but I learned a long time ago that you have to be a great entertainer to become a big star. Think about it.
Love this song so much. Thank you Peter 'PY' Young, best radio DJ for playing this on Soul Spectrum all those years ago. Donnie sounds like a Soul brother.
Dang, I haven't heard this song in years. I sent this song to my brother, and he was like yo, where did you come up with this. 😂😂. He said I'm listening to this on repeat. Don't know why I kept hearing this in my dreams. Trust, I am not a girl watcher, but growing up in the sixties, this was a great song.

I loved growing up in these years and fondly remember being watched and whistled at! It was acknowledgment that we looked just fine, so we rarely had any issues with feeling inadequate. I would always beam them a big smile and even sometimes wave, but kept on walking. Flirting was fun and is now lost. I had just landed a good job and took the bus every morning to work.
