My mother always told me that I was somehow related to you (distant cousins or something). She was a Baker (maiden name) and was from Nash County. Bruce Joyner, your drummer was my first cousin on my mother's side.

I was in 10th grade when this song came out; between classes, friends and I would stand along the walkway watching girls heading to their next class in another building. The mini-skirt was real popular back then.
I was only 6 when this song hit the airwaves and always enjoyed it. I recommend this song to anyone that needs an escape from political correctness or woke-ism. Great job with the vocals Donnie and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Your not alone. The switch to all with long hair has made watching right now my favorite pass time. High school to about 50 is my range. So what being 80.
@@BillYork-ro9oc After living my first lifetime on the farm and everything was destroyed after 4 generations and over 100 years, I went back to school at age 33...I took an economics class at the University...First day in class, the most beautiful young woman with this golden head of hair walked into the room, she was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in person other than the movies....She looks around for a seat and crosses the room and walks toward my side of the room...I try not to stare and pretend I did not see her...she comes over and sits down in the seat to the left of me...I kid you not...inches away...OMG. Is this really happening? I became interested in her as months passed...she would tell me stories of herself and life...She was a fashion merchandising business major...she was about 23 years old...and was about the sweetest young woman in the world...when she would sneeze, it was the softest sweetest sound I ever heard...then one day we are leaving the classroom she leaves first...I was bending over getting my book carry bag and she is gone when I raise up.,. What do I see where her hand was..."hard butterscotch candy you suck on and other sucking candy" She never said a word, like do you want some candy...Jesus Christ that is a come on if there ever was one...she apparently liked me and my maturity....the econ was easy for me...hell, I got so interested I looked up her address and drove by her house...it was a blue collar neighborhood and about 1500 sf house...I did nothing...I did not have the heart to tell her I was a broke dick dog, destitute, and owed over 1 million dollars in 1988...I would never do that to any woman...life is full of hard knocks. Ya just have to deal with it. I never married or had children because of the situation. She looked almost exactly like a young Kim Bassinger but prettier. Unbelievable. I'm now in my 3rd lifetime and still alive.
