No worries GW! Who knew there was company coming to visit? Lol! I bet you’ll have some school teachers booking some field trips soon! Forget Disney, I wanna go to Medicine Hat CA and tour the Granary 👍!
I am thinking the whole time that this was where you were heading to only to find out that it was the result of an accidental meeting at Subway! It was your lucky day to run into this guy who was so interesting to listen to and the granary was so interesting to see. Alex, you always seem to be in the right place at the right time, which is lucky for us!

Hi Jenifer. I can honestly tell you that I have been reading the comments from people. And I am blown away by peoples response to the video. I have been thinking of doing a youtube video for some time. I may have to get my hands dirty again.
Hello from the Texas Panhandle. I know about grain elevators.Back in the day I used to drive a truck full of grain to the elevators and wait in line to unload. Great video. .
Alex, you’re SUCH a DAD! I LOVE IT!! 😂 Jason is 6’ tall, and nearly a man, but you’re still watching out for him, to make sure he’s safe!! Bless your heart❤. We NEVER lose “parent mode”! P/S. I love the ideas your mind comes up with!! 😂
I didn't realize that you randomly met the guy at Subway. I thought you had an appointment with him and then bumped into him early. What a fascinating meet-up. Such an interesting man and place. I'm sure you also made his day with your interests and knowledge. Fun video, thanks for sharing. New friend met at aSubway.
OMGOODNESSS!!! What an adventure this was....Those stairs tho..... was thinking of the old castle video...nightmares inumdo.....gosh........what a treasure this fellow was...I truly enjoyed his eclectic self! Chance meeting in a Subway too....happy that he was agreeable to film......Dad says to Jason on their way up the stairs..."Be careful coming down...there's things on the stairs"...Forever the caring parent...I get it! Happy Trails Alex...Looking forward to seeing what's in your trlr. Best from BC ♥
The man you met was cool! Loved seeing the old granary and everything in it. I love all the stories too, but I think my most favorite thing was that one man lift. I’d love having something like that in my home.
I truly admire Alexander's ability to gently persuade the trajectory of a conversation. The way he graciously brings a rabbit trail back around to the task (or invitation, in this case) without seeming rude or rushed. It reminds me of the 1936 self-help book/course Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People".
Well that was serendipity at its best. Two collectors meeting at Subway and a grain elevator later, a great video! I love it! Thanks for sharing with us.
This is such an interesting adventure! I can picture you becoming fast friends with this gentleman. The conversations you could have are endless! You both have such a passion and knowledge of old cars. He is such a historian and visionary. Thank you for broadening and enriching our lives. Much love to you and your family.
It was so good to see Jason and it looked like you both had a blast. I will say that all those stairs gave me anxiety...lol. I jumped ahead about 20 seconds until you were safely atop them. I can't wait to see your haul from the intended place. I think its nice of you to respect the privacy of others when making ;your content, too. For all the actual treasures you gather along your adventures, probably the greatest are the people you meet and the stories you become a part of. Love all of it!
I haven’t had cable 10 in years! UA-cam is great with so much content for everyone and it’s free! He’s doing the same thing I’d love to do but I wouldn’t know where to begin to get into it and I’d probably keep too much stuff 😬😂
Such an interesting person and place! Makes me miss my dad because this is the kind of place and people he loved to meet. I spent many days tagging along on his "junk hunts". He was a mechanic and our backyard was a junkyard with his shop in the middle. He also always had more dreams and projects than he had time for.
That sounds like my childhood too. I always loved going along to the junkyard. And my dad "borrowed" my red wagon one time to store an engine on but it stayed on there over a decade ☺.
What a fantastic place the gent has with such interesting items, but for me the most interesting things was the gentleman himself and the storys he could tell, Brilliant and all because of lunch in subway x
