Nice tier list, been watching some of your hedgehog run videos and i really like the combo protection with warding flare + the fact u are not using radiating orb or arcane acuity makes for cool long strategic fights.

Justice for Two-Weapon Fighting! I really enjoy playing Rangers that dual wield hand axes in tabletop, but rangers are way less powerful in BG3 than in 5e, and to be fair dual wielding just isn’t super powerful in either version. I wish it were tho 😢
Great video by the way, I’d didn’t expect such a detailed 20 minute overview of the fighting styles but this was pretty insightful. The effective increase to AC caused by Protection and difference in percent chance in rolling low numbers on Great Weapon Fighting were especially useful.

I hear you! I want so bad for dual-wielding builds to be more of a thing than they seem to be right now.

Tbh the real reason going for 2 weapon fighting is really just so if you want to use Phalar Aluve and i honestly rate this Longsword S tier because its insane having 5 turns of Bless or Curse on top of 1-4 Thunder damage (no save) that can be refreshed on short rest + The other Longsword that has finese attached to it (my drow run), or alternatively going defence with 2 weapons and sacrificing some damage from offhand at possibility of triggering divine smite (my half orc semi-meta paladin Honor run) but getting +2 AC on top of having full plate.

I think you end up agreeing with me though because you immediately point out dual wielder + defense with 2 AC is a probably the better option if you're just fishing for smites!
That said, because Phalar requires an action to activate its S-tier ability (which I use most runs btw), it's not quite part of a damage based dual wielder run; I almost always end up putting it on a sword and board cleric. Larethian's Wrath is the other one you mentioned--that one's also really fun as a main hand weapon with its AOE cone attack!

@@friederichh6543 Ofc two weapons isnt really that amazing in comparison to 2h GWM or Sharpshooter dual crosses its mostly just if you want to use two weapons for weapons like Phalar on pure dex fighter or later in the game for maybe that rapier (not sure if it gives additional reaction when dual wielded) , its a shame Paladin cant get it thought in combo with Thief you could attack twice with two weapons for full damage + smite.

The Duellist's Prerogative legendary rapier, btw, only gives its bonus crit chance and bonus reaction if you're *not* dual wielding or using a shield. Pally isn't lacking anything by not having 2 weapon fighting because at 20 strength (or dex) the extra 10 DPR from the 2 bonus attacks pales in comparison to smite damage!
