Thanks for the info! My question is when using the USB hub with (rane 12, CDJs in HID mode) when doing a dj change over will the USB deck change to the new computer? Because that is a major pain having to unplug & plug the decks when going back to back with another dj..
Good review. I was up in the air between this and the Rane 70. I went with the Rane 70. Less plastic, build quality is important to me. The cross faders and the up faders being the same on the 70 as opposed to the Pioneer only putting their "best" faders on the cross fader and down grading on their up faders.

I would imagine this could be done through a software update. If this is an exclusive Pioneer/Serato thing, then I don’t know if the 72 would get it though. But I don’t know the ins and outs about this
Im interested to see if you can sample loop vinyl records (not serato) on the s7 like the s9 can. Also if the effects can be applied to the microphone for s7.

Dang, I never use the mic input on my S9 and usually play with vinyl + Serato. If we weren't under lockdown I'd have the money to switch over. DAMN YOU COVID!

@@djTLMtv its simple its build quality is worse. And a loss of features. And even then the split pad mode can be done on the s9. Yeah the hubs nice but i would get a 70 over this bc they cut features i can go more in depth if u want they cut features in more ways that meets the eye
So what are all these other features are you talking about? I know I didn’t mention a few smaller things, but maybe I missed something? And with split mode on the S9 you must mean with custom midi mapping? I forgot about that. I did see that once, but I didn’t like the way that worked. You had to hit one button three times, and for another mode you had to hit a button once, pauze, and hit it again, etc. Granted, it worked, but I most definitely prefer having the proper split mode and the scratch bank like on the S7. Even with the loss of some features but the addition of the hub, better phono amps, split mode, scratch banks, new midi functions, you can’t label this as a downgrade. An alternative would be a better description. And I can totally understand that you prefer the S9. Like I said; for some the new features will not be interesting.
@@djTLMtv the bunpers on the front are plastic vs the s11 or s9 have rubber the up faders are not as nice as the s9 they removed the flip switch for mic talk over to a side switch and the usb a and line selector turned into the same style switch. This mixer is cheap yes its packed full of features but those features aren’t worth the compromise of build quality

Is the midi loop function using paddles a hardware option? Or is it something that can be on s11/rane 72 with software updates?
