- In this video, we explore an abandoned copper mine in the Mojave Desert hidden behind a small sand dune field! Though a small mine, there are some indications that it may of been discovered during the great Lost Breyfogle Mine search.
If you would like to help me bring more explorations and improve these videos, please think about contributing over at / deserttrails
I bet a drone is on your shopping list for recon.
What was the camera you were using on the outdoor shots before entering the mines ? Seen kinda dark , high contrast..Just curious...loved all your videos
The "part of a building" is remnants of an aerial tow target. When intact, (these type) look like a three winged dart. When I was a kid, they were all over. Sorry to say, I rather don't think it blew there just recently.
That's the way to do it, boots on the ground! Nice job, keep living the dream! Tick tock we're on the clock! JacobsBrand out!
Very interesting but not something I'd do alone. Stay safe.
sometimes you go it alone to do what you love to do. at 54 i still backpack in to the high country to deer and elk hunt nobody goes with me anymore.
Thats not a tunnel it's a adit
Nobody should ever Underground Mine / Cave Explore alone, to do so not only puts them at risk it also puts First Responders at Risk too should the Explorer need rescued
How many people die mine exploring a year , tell us.
He leaves his phone outside the mine entrance.
@@ExploringCabinsandMines A whole lot less than die every day out on our highways driving with idiots glued to their cell phones or other distractions. It’s a proven statistic . Check it out sometime. 😐
Don’t think any first responders are going to come for you there.
@@stephenmiller5023 I did some checking , most mine accidents are quarrys back east that people go swimming in and the occasional person that falls down an unmarked shaft , these old mines have survived HUNDREDS of earthquakes they are not going to collapse because one simply walks in them.
let me make sure i get this straight...he coughs all the way through the first 17 mins...then goes into a mine with no back up or ropes or whatever...coughs the whole way with sh#t loads of poop...coughs...and then makes his way (all alone) to the the entrance. I was born at night, but not last night. thumbs down for being "silly"
The object at ua-cam.com/video/yaK8oAsPFGk/v-deo.html is most likely a towed target that was pulled by an aircraft for others to practice shooting at.
Yes, I have found similar towed targets still with the tow cable attached.
Is there a chance you could move the camera a bit slower especially in the mines. We do enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Sorry, couldn't watch more than eight mins or so. The fisheye lens panning made me queasy.
Show more of the mineralization and tailings and less of the square nails and old cans..lol
I will wait for a flyby of this subject location using LIDAR technology.
Saw my first as done under Montana and had public viewing in 2024.
Nice video brother!!!
There's is no way I would go that far into an old mine by myself.
kick over all rock monuments, it's not natural.
That camera lens makes me nauseous
Is this BLM land? I would never come back were I to have found these places when I lived in the states....And now that I have watched the video I would like say that prefaced by I love your channel, no music, no BS, just desert, finds and mines which is amazingly cool but the fisheye lens on this hike was kind of nauseating for me at least. LOL
BLM is anti-freedom.
🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍
Why walk that far when you could drive farther in?
The tunnel was up behind the mill foundation. I could see thru it to daylight
We also have such a contact, you will definitely like it
I like the surface exploration best, if you can explore the tailing piles
tailings piles are often wrongly called that on this channel - they are usually waste rock piles.
Great explore. Beautiful desert.
I hate to say you need someone to go with you just for safety.
Not sure why they built a cabin right on the dry stream edge, usually Dry, but when it rains,it becomes a torrential river that could very well wash everything away😮
It appears that mine was a flop..little or no ore.
Don't tell me...Kenny V e a c h? Copper?
Really uneventful for its length
Most of life is uneventful, thank God. This is a nice peaceful hike in a wonderful place.
The ruins of the stone cabin would be a great place to camp with just a tarp and a ground sheet...
As opposed to a sheet that hasn’t “ grown”??😆. I assume you typed “ ground” & it got “ Automatically autocorrected”. My wife has that same issue all the time she says😏
@@stephenmiller5023 damn auto correct. Thanks for letting me know so I could edit the post...lol
Good video regardless of not finding a big tunnel
rat poop heaven!
I 👍👍👍👊👊
Bases loaded, 1st pitch fast ball, BAM , base clearing Homer! Nice thanks for the video
Can see my Jeep way out there, and HEY! Those guys are stealing it!
To bad you have to park so far away from where you want to go!!!!!!
At 31:01: did ya notice the many animal foot prints on the floor?
That's a lot of Hantavirus
He has no interest in safety.
It's like you're scared for him, how nice.
Think of the original miners or prospector who trekked that area in it’s heyday . I am pretty sure they weren’t too concerned either . Mr Desert trails here has been doing this type of thing for some time now , at least that I’m aware of , and doesn’t do anything too foolish that I have seen . In some of his past videos he’s at least commented that he tells someone at least the general area he’s off exploring in and his estimation on when he will be checking back in with them . If you don’t like his exploits feel free to not watch them . That’s the beauty of America , you have a choice. He’s doing something he likes to do & I for one do likewise sometimes. We risk takers maybe get a bit more enjoyment from life than those who don’t do likewise. Just saying ….😏👍. I enjoyed this one as usual.
@@stephenmiller5023 Thank you , I'm tired of the Crying Karen's.
@@ExploringCabinsandMines No problem Mr .Guy.😆👍😉
I feel your safer out in the Desert alone than in most big cities 🤷🏼
