Toki Totoro I found it easy. At first I struggled everytime he called the shark because I didn't have time to react, but it was easy when I realized that he shoots right after the fourth chew.
Captain Brineybeard is another boss I didn't have trouble with, he was really easy. His first phase is easy, since you can avoid the barrel that drops on you. But when he spawns the squid, shark, or dogfishes, he isn't that much of a pain. For the second phase, I avoided the parryable laser by just ducking, and dodged the cannonballs. His fight turned out super awesome, and I defeated him with only two attempts!
@@steva2971 I saw that in older playthroughs around the time you wrote your comment. Now I see they patched this. It no longer hits the barrel, which makes it convenient to use the chaser now.
Another tip is to have the roundabout shot as Shot-B and when he uses his beam and orange spinning balls look backwards and crouch. All your shots will hit and you can only get hit by the barrel.
not gonna lie, the chaser actually helped me. I was stuck on him for an hour and as long as you keep shooting and avoid the bullshit (and kill the squid as fast as possible so you can SEE THE SCREEN) he’s done.
After doing the Bee boss (Rumor Honeybottoms) this feels so easy in comparison. Yeah it still took me like an hour because I'm shit at this game, but every time I died I kept thinking "oh that's fair" rather than wanting to throw the controller out the window! I used the Chaser for this boss. Also I used the smoke dash to get past the orange balls but wow this is way easier!

Dammit, I spent all my coins, and I won't be able to get anymore until I beat him or Rumor Honeybottoms. I've been rocking him with chasers from afar, then getting up in his face with spread, then backing off when he pulls out his octopus, switching back to chasers. I almost got him a few times, just gotta get better at dodging things. Now that I know the range of the charge shot, I wish I didn't waste my coins on heart charms that I'll never use. PS4 player btw. I can't believe certain cars actually got the game before we did, but at least we got it eventually.
If you don’t have charge or sugar, I recommend Roundabout or the normal peashooter and jump to hit him. When the shark comes shoot diagonally up to Captain Brineybeard and jump to avoid cannon balls. Always watch out for the falling barrel.
Does anyone else get just a little pissed every time you have to watch one of these videos at how easy they make it seem (and in turn help you beat the game). I just finished Isle 2 with y’all help!

Guys, I recommend buying the boomerang shot at the end of the boss if you just crouch in the bottom left there's nothing he can do to attack you if you just aim backwards and keep shooting, just watch that fucking barrel
I sat there half an hour thinking you had to continue to parry his pink beam when all you had to do is crouch. Orange orbs were easy just smoke bomb through. 1st A rank tho it was probably the best and fun out of all bosses
for this fight i recommend using the charge shot and the roundabout, do what the guy in the video says but right at the final phase, like what help me im stuck said crouch but this time switch to roundabout and look behind, it will hit the boat rapidly and its an easy knockout because all you have to do in the final phase is crouch lmao

Thanks! But I recommend shadow dodge instead of psugar because when you hit the last phase it's helpful because when the barrel comes you can just shadow doge through the fireballs

I Did not know that you could duck under the balls that the ship spits out I would always get stuck on that last part but this really helped

Doesn't seem to always work for me.
Ducking at certain positions is safe, but others get you hit anyway.

For the final phase you could also use roundabout and stay in the left facing away from the ship and just fire while crouching
That's what I did. I used the roundabout & shot. Shot to the left & the weapon shoots backwards. A couple of tries & beat him

Guys, I myself recommend using the chaser and the peashooter to use the super attack. it gives you time to dodge and be quicker. Hope this helps

@@dollyspine chaser works really well. Just don't aim/lock and make sure you face the ship and Briney beard. Bullets will only hit him.

Lucky you have auto parry and power shot.
I beat him with a rounfabout took me 15 tries.
I would say use roundabout for that last phase since you can duck and shoot and the fireballs will never touch you.

I personally used chaser. It allows you to focus on dodging, especially during the first phase when there’s a lot going on.
uhh you dont even hit the pirate with chaser, you hit the barrel
I used the chaser too, made thing way easier when you can focus also on dodging

This guide is super helpful. I have beaten Brineybeard just in one day which is fastest I've ever beaten any boss or Run and Gun level.
I found the chaser gets the job done, just make sure you get 4 lives.

I notice that the barrel doesn't attack while he looking up. When he starts looking down, he is ready to attack.
