Heart ring for those parry bosses doesn’t really make sense because chalice is just better because the bosses were designed around her. Like cuphead against the horse is so much worse than using chalice

I would say that twist up is good for skilled players, you can always aim it when you have focus and you can hit multiple shots at a time and with the EX a you just need to time it, it deserves place 5
Thanks for sharing! I honestly might've put it higher if I used it more, but I find myself using charge all the time instead lol. I get what you're saying though
1. Peashooter is extremely basic but I’ve come to appreciate it for how efficient it is at hitting bosses from far away and it’s rapid fire rate. For example, I think peashooter is the third best weapon against Grim Matchstick’s final phase, under lobber and charge. All it does is shoot straight and you have full control over the direction it’s going, so there’s no risk of breaking the fireballs. 2. I use to loathe Twist Up, but I grew to like it cause it forces you to get creative. I could name a scenario where it’s useful for every single boss except Baroness and Grim Matchstick. And unlike roundabout, it’s a lot easier to get full use out of it’s EX. 3. Charge EX is broken. One of my favorite things to do in speed running attempts is spam spread, quickly switch and use charge EX, repeat. I tested it on the first phase of phantom express, it ends the phase and many other bosses at a scary fast rate. Pretty great rank Pilky.
The Chaser is better than Crackshot. Both lock onto enemies, but Crackshot had 2 downsides. It's not as accurate as Chaser, and its slow fire rate. So Chaser is better.
My personal rankings: 10 - Uncharged Charge Shot (Don't even need to explain why.) 9 - Twist-Up (Pretty much agree with everything you said about it.) 8 - Chaser (Used to hate the chaser but its grown on me after I did a chaser only run for the hell of it. Its nice to not have to aim but I feel crackshot is just better chaser in every way.) 7 - Converge (Pretty decent shot. I just feel other shots are better) 6 - Peashooter (I Like how simple it is. It definitely can get outclassed later in the game but I still feel its a pretty decent shot.) 5 - Lobber (This shot can be pretty fun to use. I ALWAYS use this for grim matchsticks 2nd and 3rd phase along with rumor Honeybottoms 3rd phase. Does pretty good damage too.) 4 - Charged Charge Shot (Really good shot. But i dont like how i cant rapid fire. If you could rapid fire with this shot it'd easily be number 1 because of how broken it'd be.) 3 - Roundabout (Very helpful in a ton of situations and does great damage too) 2 - Spread (Love its EX and it also can do very decent damage. Although of course at the cost of not having amazing range but still overall a pretty good shot.) 1 - Crackshot (Love this thing. I use it for pretty much EVERY boss because of how great it is. I love not having to aim with it and its literally just chaser but without the dps nerf. Its named is definitely fitting because this shot is. Well, cracked.)
The only use case for the uncharged shot is to get in a tiny bit of extra damage on a boss you hit with a charged shot before you need to start dodging again. This only matters if you have charge alone. Switching to another shot is fast enough that it'll almost always be more useful. The only other benefit is quickly taking out enemies in run n' gun levels, but again, just switch weapons.
@@Crxzy_babblejade_rox yeah but it usually moves into the general direction of bosses it doesn't completely lock on if the boss dodges it when it cracks
I think that chasers practicality should be better because you can just focus on doing the bosses attacks while still doing damage and the damage amount is good for the type of shot it is, it's main focus is to be used for beginners to get the boss patterns down while wanting g the damage and if the damage to as higher it would be too much damage because most of not all the bullets hit the target so if the damage was higher you could just beat a boss in seconds which defeats the point of the chaser.
I get your point. I definitely would have ranked it more if it wasn't for crackshot. I find that I can usually do more damage with crackshot even without trying to aim at all, but I get why people would still use chaser, especially beginning players like you said
I find twist up to be useful in most bosses, it’s situational but you can just aim and it’s really useful for bosses above you and even if it’s on the side of course, just aim, it’s really good on phantom express, chef salt-baker, devil, king dice, root pack, Cagney, and basically every boss beside 2 or 3, buts it’s your opinion and I respect it
The fact that you have to aim diagonally to get the best out of Twist Up is a testament as to why it's not that good, and yet even then you still have to be somewhat close to the boss than normal to deal full damage. Even Spread's range is better than Twist Up's range smh
For some reason I find spread to be an amazing weapon, but I will have to agree with its rank, and it also makes it kind of hard to get a perfect score in most bosses. Another thing that some people may not know is that crackshot parried with heart ring is a broken combo, you can gain hearts while also dealing damage, if you can't parry or think you can't parry the actual projectiles. There is also no risk of accidently losing a life. Overall, great video and I agree with every rank except for charge (mainly because I am bad at using charge). I also want to thank you for making such amazing videos and I hope you continue to make more amazing videos. ❤
Thanks I really appreciate that! And yeah, spread is amazing if you have the opportunity to utilize it and that crackshot combo works great as well! Yeah I know what you mean about the divine relic lol. I find it great for plane bosses but somewhat lackluster for regular levels
THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO!! I think that the thing I love most about your rankings is the fact that you reason and argue every single point you give, and you get to fully understand not only your point of view but the thing you're ranking itself. Keep the great work up!!
Okay I might be getting controversial here, before the introduction of my beloved crackshot I wiped the floor with most of the bosses with Roundabout and Lobber. (It’s been my main weapons ever since the game first came out, and they never disappoint me.)
Also crackshots ex power only comes forth when you pair it with extra parry lives cause it will trigger this ability for free lives. Especially in bosses that have hard parries or few you can use the ex turret to parry safely and reliably get lives back.
My personal favorite is the spread, probably followed by the crackshot. I often have spread as a secondary at least- the damage output really is a good way to kill off bosses quickly. Sometimes the range can be a hinderance, but I feel that you can get close enough to most bosses to deal that damage, so long that you’re strategic and careful about it, so normally it isn’t impossible to tackle.
In my opinion, roundabout is not only the best weapon in the game, but far more broken than it should be. Above average dps is one thing, but what makes it broken is its reach out front giving you enough to cover almost anything in front or behind you. It’s super easy to hit anything at all on screen. There isn’t a single boss roundabout struggles to kill while maintaining a pretty high dps. That’s where crackshot lacks. Charge is also busted, however it has a few minor flaws of being shot when you dash, and dealing with minions horribly. Try phantom express phase 1 with charge and you’ll see what I mean.
Personal ranking (I'll only include ACTUAL shots) 9: Peashooter: The most basic weapon in the game, I can never find a good reason to use it against any boss. Decent in the early game but falls off almost instantly after you start getting better shots. 8: Chaser: The easiest shot to use at the cost of doing the least damage. Useful against more mobile phases as unlike every other shot, Chaser physically cannot miss its target. Usually outclassed as most phases are more stationary, making other shots better in general. 7: Twist-up: These next few are more situational in my opinion, but not totally useless. Twist-up arcs upwards, making it useful against phases with higher-up hitboxes. Twist-up is particularly effective against the Phantom Express, as almost every phase has a higher-up hitbox, Captain Brineybeard for reasons stated in-video, and Sally Stageplay due to her jumping around and hovering in the air. 6: Converge: I generally think the higher-DPS shots are usually better and Converge is no exception. Although pretty situational, it's piercing abilities make it great against the frogs, as they're grouped together in the first phase, and the Devil's later phases, particularly the third phase, where Converge helps to take down all the minions that spawn. 5: Lobber: The second most damaging shot in the game only behind spread, and very much the antithesis of the Twist-up. Lobber has a lower fire rate and arcs downward but does a lot of damage. It's unique behavior and decent ground range makes it effective against phases with hitboxes that are closer to the bottom of the screen. I personally use this quite often, especially against Grim Matchstick. It also has more niche uses against some other bosses due to its unique behaviors and high DPS. 4: Charge: Call me a freak, but I don't like Charge as much as others seem to. It's very hard to use due to its charge mechanic, and it's DPS is only 3rd best behind lobber and spread. However, it's still a great shot due to its screen-wide range and high overall DPS. It has some great utility against bosses like Captain Brineybeard and Werner Werman. It also has a lot of more niece uses like against Grim Matchstick or the Devil. 3: Spread: The single highest DPS shot in the game. It can be tough to use against certain bosses, but most of the time, there's at least one phase where Spread can be very powerful. Spread's strength comes of course from its insane firepower, which comes at the cost of a pitiful range. It's very useful against more stationary bosses like the Devil, the Root Pack, and Rumor Honeybottoms, but ultimately, it falls short against more mobile phases. 2: Crackshot: This thing is nuts. Up close, it has the DPS of LOBBER, but from afar, it practically homes in at the cost of damage. Even then, it STILL does more damage than chaser. Its EX is busted when paired with Heart ring, and it literally cheats against the ENITRE DLC. 1: Roundabout: Yeah, was there EVER any competition? And this is coming from a former skeptic as well! Roundabout does a high amount of damage, not as high as the higher-DPS shots, but there's also the fact that it comes back, making it incredibly easy to hit bosses with it. This shot went from a shot I barely ever used, to my go-to standard shot after I discovered its true power. Seriously, this shot sometimes makes the game TOO EASY. It literally CHEESES more than half of the grounded bosses in the entire game!
My favourite 2 weapons are spread and roundabout, since they cover each other's weaknesses: Spread has low range, but roundabout will essentially never miss. Roundabout has ex issues with bosses that cannot stop moving (looking at you Sally stageplay) but spread's ex can hit at least one of the ex shots most of the time, albeit it does less damage that way. They both have insane damage with their normal shots, which can make miss chalice + shield pal a viable option since both they're exes kind of suck.
Pretty good list and great explanations, here's my rankings of the weapons in the game: 10. Uncharged Charge Shot (self-explanatory) 9. Twist Up (Even 10 months after these words have been said, I totally agree with them) 8. Chaser (Not really a shot I'm fond of and really just gets over-shadowed by Crackshot. One thing to note that everybody forgets is that Chaser by itself, even when you exclude Crackshot's over-shadowing, is a mediocre weapon and very impractical to use due to its very small damage output. Chaser's setbacks drag it down much more than any other weapon above it, and that's why it ranks so low, its cons are just too much of a nuisance) 7. Converge (Converge is an amazing shot and I love to use it, however it's pros are simply not that useful for it to rank high up on the list. It turns out for me, what keeps Converge low on the list is not it's cons, but it's pros. Although the cons aren't any real issue 'besides how complicated it can be to use', Converge's pros just don't offer enough for it to rank super high. Converge can be used for most of the bosses, however it really isn't one of the 2 best picks for all bosses except for Phantom Express and the Devil and that's just my thinking. Really Converge's pros just aren't useful enough for it to rank higher than a 7 imo. Still an amazing and fun weapon to use, but it takes time to know how to use it and even then your getting an outcome that works and is efficient, not the best outcome you can possibly have more than 95% of the time. Not to forget Converge's Ex is quite underwhelming although it does make up for that by being really easy to use and spam) 6. Lobber (This certainly is controversial, but here me out before you judge me. The reason why I'm ranking Lobber at 6 is because it's impracticality. Because of Lobbers dog water range it's just very unable to get the job done for most bosses. And even for bosses that it can do the job in most of the weapons that rank above Lobber imo will just be better at the job. However, if you can hit your shots oh boy your gonna make absolute light work of that boss. Lobber also has the added perk of being able to set a damage check called the Lobber Trap which you explain in the video. However due to how you really have to work for Lobber to be efficient since Lobber's range alone makes it impractical for most bosses and that's even without mentioning the fact that it has a slower fire rate than Roundabout and Twist Up, I can't give it any higher than a 6. That being said I do use Lobber regularly for Grim Matchstick, but really that's it, Lobber's ex is very good and efficient to use though) 5. Peashooter (Starting here at the beginning of the top 5, Peashooter above Lobber is crazy controversial, but tbh I just find it more practical to use despite being the literal definition of average. Peashooter does sport average stats, but it can be used for pretty much every single boss in the game. Due to the nature of how the weapon shoots, it's really easy to aim and get the most you can out of the Peashooter, and it's Ex is just as good too. The ex much like the weapon, is pretty basic, but when you can use it to your advantage which is very easy due to it's simplicity it is really effective. The Peashooter's ex is in the top 3 best ex's in the game imo because of how easy it is to get the most out of it. However where both the shot and the ex fall off is how ineffective they are against moving targets, bosses that have small hitboxes, and just well not being the best in general for most bosses. Although you can easily make the most out of Peashooter for almost all the bosses, it's never really the most effective for any of them. That being said I do use Peashooter on the regular for Goopy, The Root Pack, and even King Dice. What brings Peashooter above Lobber and Converge is how like I said above, you can easily utilize Peashooter to its fullest for almost every single boss. Converge's problem is its pros don't offer enough and it takes a good deal of work to use it effectively. Lobber is just unable to do the job for most bosses due to its awful range. So Peashooter stands here at the number 5 spot) 4. Charged Charge Shot (The Charged Charge shot is amazing as opposed to its annoying little brother the Uncharged Charge Shot. It's range is undeniably great, it's damage is nothing short of amazing, and it's very effective. What's amazing about Charge is how your able to control the amount of shots that are on the screen at once and how it allows you to focus on dodging. Due to how you have to hold the shot to Charge it, this allows you to keep holding on it to focus on dodging before you fire the shot. One thing you have to remember though is although the concept of charge is simple, using the weapon itself isn't. It takes some time you know how to properly utilize this weapon and to get used to it's nature. But if your able to get that done, than you can easily chip away at any boss with this weapon. I find myself using Charge on the regular for Grim Matchstick and basically all of Isle 4 besides the Saltbaker, Ester Winchester, and Mortimer Freeze. But Charge is a great pick for every boss so I see myself occasionally on different bosses too. The Ex is good, but not super good imo) 3. Spread (Starting at the beginning of the top 3, Spread is the heaviest hitter in the game and it's God tier level amazing. Although it has a very small range, it's incredible DPS is more than enough to make up for that. Especially since it's easy to get up close to most of the bosses, Spread can be used for pretty much all the bosses. Not saying it's effective for every boss, but really every single boss has at least 1 phase where Spread is useful. The Ex is quite hit or miss though, since it shoots projectiles in 8 cardinal directions, this means most of the time your not able to use the Ex to it's fullest unless you can enter the boss' hitbox. Still a good ex, but not up to par with most exes in the game. Spread does have it's cons, but it's pros are more than enough to outweigh the cons. So number 3 is where Spread goes) 2. Crackshot (Crackshot is arguably the most versatile weapon in the game, you can literally bring this weapon into any boss and I guarantee you it's gonna be in the top 3 most effective weapons for that boss. Crackshot is basically turrets that have the property of a homing bullet. In short range, the turrets deals insane burst damage, but at long range, the turrets "crack" and home in on the nearest target dealing less damage. This makes it useful for all the bosses in the game, being able to be used as a great burst damage weapon or a homing weapon basically being a better version of Chaser. That being said Crackshot isn't perfect it still has its cons like the fact that Crackshot isn't really as accurate as homing in as Chaser. However this issue can mostly be nullified by simply aiming the shot, the Ex though is quite underwhelming. Your Ex is a mini Saturn that shoots out 5 bullets that deals 3.5 damage per shot and dealing a total of 16.5 damage if all of them hit. This can be useful for taking out any enemies that may be in the way, but the damage is still quite underwhelming. Not gonna get into more detail here, but you can do a total of 28 damage with Crackshot's ex) 1. Roundabout (At the number 1 spot in all the list, my favorite weapon in the game Roundabout is easily the best weapon in the game imo. It's basically a homing weapon that doesn't act like a homing weapon. Roundabout is easily able to tear down every single boss in the game to shreds and because it acts like a boomerang, your almost always hitting every single shot. I find myself using this shot for literally every boss besides most bosses in Isle 4 and maybe 1 boss in Isle 3. It's Ex is hit or miss like Spread though. Since the Ex is a saw that disappears after you either come in contact with it or it deals enough damage. This ex is not so reliable because after hitting the boss a couple of times it will come right back at you meaning you basically have to avoid it to even have a chance at dealing maximum damage. The Ex does tie with Twist Up for the most ex damage in the game at 40 damage max, but this doesn't really make up for how hard it is to get this ex to hit. Still Roundabout is extremely versatile and there isn't a single boss in which Roundabout isn't good making it the most OP shot in the game. It may have a slower fire rate and can sometimes be too good at it's job, but those are not really anything too serious to warrant as a con. So here at the top is where Roundabout goes imo)
Thanks for sharing with so much detail! At this point, you've practicality made your own Cuphead weapons ranking script 😁 You made some great arguments on where you placed each weapon, and thanks for checking out my video!
This is why I didn't give it a perfect score in practicality but if you put in enough practice to get good I've found it's not that much of an issue and I just make sure to time my dashes right
I always use spread on Chalice because she can easily double jump to get inside bosses (Pause 😳) hitboxes and spam EX which makes all the spikes hit dealing a lot of damage Great ranking btw!
Tbh i like the crackshots ex only for one reason. When you use the heart ring and you can parry to get hp, you can actually use the parryable ex to get extra hp. I dont use the heart ring that much. But when i do its really helpful to use that ex.
Twist up is SO GOOD for the dlc bosses, i thought the three way yellow gun (forgot the name) was the worst dlc weapon bc twist up it one of my favs! And i hate chaser.
I mean technically if you’re good enough the practicality ranking doesn’t matter and instead the highest damage stuff with the best ex’s are the ideal weapons so honestly I’d rather have spreadshot or lobber over roundabout even though roundabout is pretty solid. Charge is very good in general though especially for S ranks so I agree with that
Thx for giving crack shot a full 10 because it's my main and it's op to me plus it is realy good when you use parry heart ring so u can use ur ex to get health fast if there's like no parrys and it's like chaser but sooooo much better
The only time roundabout is a bad pick is the angel and devil, because the angel doesn’t take damage, and even if you get close, spread or lobber is just better.
in all seriousness tho, i don't have dlc yet, but my fav loadout regardless thus far is either roundabout or chaser and the spread, as i would end up doing a decent job of dealing damage at both long and close range, along with the extra-hp or twin-heart charm, so i can be more tanky, and quite fitting since i prefer tank/support characters in games cuz i'm a team player hahaha. And my fav super is easily the energy beam. Super versatile and nigh impossible for it to be bad!!
I don't know if you have already done this on your own but I think you should try to beat the game with every weapon. No charms or supers. Meaning beat the game with 1 weapon and then do the next and the next until you beat the game with every weapon. Also Converge is really good on bosses like Beppi's final phase Phantom Express first phase or the Devils 2nd and 3rd phase. Most of the DLC bosses can be beaten with this too such as Glumstones first phase, Mortimore Freeze first phase or even moon shine mobs last phase with the anteater.
Thanks for the idea! I've actually done this already in past live streams in addition to being on Expert mode and not using any EXs or taking damage along with the other rules you thought up!
I’d say that chaser should’ve been at #9 instead of twist-up, since twist-up isn’t really that useless, since it still does a fair amount of damage compared to chaser
Twist up isn't really the best on any fight, but it is massivly uderrated. I won't pretend it is good, but you can use it if you know how to. Aiming down makes it cover the screen below you, because it will go sideways for example. Aiming up will work the same way.
My list is like this: Peashooter: Practicality is 5/10, EX is 6/10, Usage is 5/10, total is 16/30 Spread: Practicality 7/10, EX 4/10, Usage 6/10, total is 17/30 Chaser: Practicality 7/10, EX 2/10, Usage 8/10, total is 17/30 Charge: Practicality 7/10, EX 4/10, Usage 7/10, total is 18/10 Lobber: Practicality 6/10, EX 9/10, Usage 7/10, total is 22/30 Roundabout: Practicality 8/10, EX 7/10, Usage 7/10, total is 22/30 Twist-up: Practicality 6/10, EX 5/10, Usage 6/10, total is 17/30 Converge: Practicality 7/10, EX 7/10, Usage 7/10, total is 21/30 Crackshot: Practicality 10/10, EX 8/10, Usage 8/10, total is 28/30 So here’s the top 6: 6: Peashooter 16/30 5: Spread, Chaser, Twist-up 17/30 4: Charge 18/30 3: Converge 21/30 🥉 2: Lobber, Roundabout 22/30 🥈 1. Crackshot 🥇 Tell me your opinion here 👇
Ok i think the chaser needs to be rated higher than peashooter just the sheer misses from peashooter will make the reliability of chaser much better in terms of dps, chaser trivializes some bosses as well while its ability to remove screen clutter is arguably better than crackshot. Plus in lobber you should mention that if you aim the ex on the ground it deals double damage and there is a method to make it deal triple damage too, its op and there is a solid reason it is used on speedruns.
Pro tip:if you mix the heart ring with the crack shot it gives you easy hp and it really helps with all the parry only bosses

twist up is good
The only use case for the uncharged shot is to get in a tiny bit of extra damage on a boss you hit with a charged shot before you need to start dodging again. This only matters if you have charge alone. Switching to another shot is fast enough that it'll almost always be more useful.
The only other benefit is quickly taking out enemies in run n' gun levels, but again, just switch weapons.

The damage of spread’s ex is so high that you can beat the devil with just EIGHT MAX DAMAGE SPREAD EXS
It's honestly crazy
wait really??
Pea shooter combined with crackshot is OP you just win
I've always thought a mod with "Crackspread" (Crackshot and Spread) would be hilarious.
I find that I can usually do more damage with crackshot even without trying to aim at all, but I get why people would still use chaser, especially beginning players like you said
i brought the dlc with the game so i just used crackshot
@@SirPilkyAlso the crackshot is in the dlc, so it might not be availabe to every player. But yes crack shot is definitely better
The chaser ranking is the perfect example of why this should’ve been made before the dlc and then had a dlc ranking later
I find twist up to be useful in most bosses, it’s situational but you can just aim and it’s really useful for bosses above you and even if it’s on the side of course, just aim, it’s really good on phantom express, chef salt-baker, devil, king dice, root pack, Cagney, and basically every boss beside 2 or 3, buts it’s your opinion and I respect it
Thanks for sharing!
Or you could just shoot straight at the boss with the same dps with roundabout and not have to account for the awkward angle
Before the DLC my go to was chaser+spread, now it’s crackshot +spread or converge depending on boss
Thanks for sharing 👍
The chaser orbit is for early game (specifically run and guns)
Pro tip: Aim the twist up diagonally and it will be great
The fact that you have to aim diagonally to get the best out of Twist Up is a testament as to why it's not that good, and yet even then you still have to be somewhat close to the boss than normal to deal full damage.
Also, the divine relic can be broken is some cases...or bad...you know what I am trying to say right?
Thanks I really appreciate that! And yeah, spread is amazing if you have the opportunity to utilize it and that crackshot combo works great as well! Yeah I know what you mean about the divine relic lol. I find it great for plane bosses but somewhat lackluster for regular levels

Thanks that means a lot!
I can't find any cap the detector ain't coming up he's not lying
Twist up is under rated it’s really good for a lot of bosses
It’s properly rated
Fan fact: You can actually kill Rumor honey bottoms while she’s transitioning into her final phase but it’s extremely hard to pull off
This is definitely one of my favorite phase skips in Cuphead!
Okay I might be getting controversial here, before the introduction of my beloved crackshot I wiped the floor with most of the bosses with Roundabout and Lobber. (It’s been my main weapons ever since the game first came out, and they never disappoint me.)
Honestly I think that's a pretty good loadout!
Also crackshots ex power only comes forth when you pair it with extra parry lives cause it will trigger this ability for free lives. Especially in bosses that have hard parries or few you can use the ex turret to parry safely and reliably get lives back.
Round up better in my opinion I like the hard work keep it up
Thanks for sharing 👍
My list:
10: uncharged charge shot
9: twist up
8: chaser
7: lobber
6: peashooter
5: converge
4: spread
3: charge shot
2: crackshot
1: round-a-bout
Thanks for sharing these are some solid picks!

I would've put charge at the bottom before what you said. After you explained how it works, I've done so well.
"Uncharged charge is the worst"
"Charged charge shot is the best weapon "
In my opinion, roundabout is not only the best weapon in the game, but far more broken than it should be. Above average dps is one thing, but what makes it broken is its reach out front giving you enough to cover almost anything in front or behind you. It’s super easy to hit anything at all on screen. There isn’t a single boss roundabout struggles to kill while maintaining a pretty high dps. That’s where crackshot lacks. Charge is also busted, however it has a few minor flaws of being shot when you dash, and dealing with minions horribly. Try phantom express phase 1 with charge and you’ll see what I mean.
Thanks for sharing! Really good points 👍
Finally someone who likes charge too
I love damage🍷🗿

If I were ranking:
10. Uncharged charge shot
9. Chaser
8. Peashooter
7. Converge
6. Twist-up
5. Lobber
4. Charge
3. Spread
2. Roundabout
1. Crackshot
Thanks for sharing!
Personal ranking (I'll only include ACTUAL shots)
9: Peashooter:
The most basic weapon in the game, I can never find a good reason to use it against any boss. Decent in the early game but falls off almost instantly after you start getting better shots.
8: Chaser:
The easiest shot to use at the cost of doing the least damage. Useful against more mobile phases as unlike every other shot, Chaser physically cannot miss its target. Usually outclassed as most phases are more stationary, making other shots better in general.
7: Twist-up:
These next few are more situational in my opinion, but not totally useless.
6: Converge:
I generally think the higher-DPS shots are usually better and Converge is no exception. Although pretty situational, it's piercing abilities make it great against the frogs, as they're grouped together in the first phase, and the Devil's later phases, particularly the third phase, where Converge helps to take down all the minions that spawn.
5: Lobber:
The second most damaging shot in the game only behind spread, and very much the antithesis of the Twist-up.
4: Charge:
Call me a freak, but I don't like Charge as much as others seem to.
3: Spread:
The single highest DPS shot in the game.
2: Crackshot:
This thing is nuts. Up close, it has the DPS of LOBBER, but from afar, it practically homes in at the cost of damage. Even then, it STILL does more damage than chaser. Its EX is busted when paired with Heart ring, and it literally cheats against the ENITRE DLC.
1: Roundabout:
Yeah, was there EVER any competition? And this is coming from a former skeptic as well! Roundabout does a high amount of damage, not as high as the higher-DPS shots, but there's also the fact that it comes back, making it incredibly easy to hit bosses with it. This shot went from a shot I barely ever used, to my go-to standard shot after I discovered its true power. Seriously, this shot sometimes makes the game TOO EASY. It literally CHEESES more than half of the grounded bosses in the entire game!
Thanks for sharing so much! I'll have to say I agree with most of what you said, and you brought up some great points!
6:36 It bracame a pvz video
1:22 uncharged charge shot works in run and gun runs, its very practical in those situations
My favourite 2 weapons are spread and roundabout, since they cover each other's weaknesses:
Spread has low range, but roundabout will essentially never miss.
Thanks for sharing that's totally a viable loadout!
Pretty good list and great explanations, here's my rankings of the weapons in the game:
10. Uncharged Charge Shot (self-explanatory)
9. Twist Up (Even 10 months after these words have been said, I totally agree with them)
8. Chaser's setbacks drag it down much more than any other weapon above it, and that's why it ranks so low, its cons are just too much of a nuisance)
7. Not to forget Converge's Ex is quite underwhelming although it does make up for that by being really easy to use and spam)
6. That being said I do use Lobber regularly for Grim Matchstick, but really that's it, Lobber's ex is very good and efficient to use though)
5. So Peashooter stands here at the number 5 spot)
4. The Ex is good, but not super good imo)
3. So number 3 is where Spread goes)
2. Not gonna get into more detail here, but you can do a total of 28 damage with Crackshot's ex)
Converge is underrated as hell, the EX is definitely the best EX in the game
Don't forget with heart ring the ex for crackshot can get you health. I sometimes just use it for health
Yeah crackshot's EX is definitely great for that and that's a point I probably should of went into more
Um… The charge shot is not the best because it has very little mobility options. An example is that if you dash the bullet will fire.
This is why I didn't give it a perfect score in practicality but if you put in enough practice to get good I've found it's not that much of an issue and I just make sure to time my dashes right
I always use spread on Chalice because she can easily double jump to get inside bosses (Pause 😳) hitboxes and spam EX which makes all the spikes hit dealing a lot of damage
Great ranking btw!
Haha thanks and good strategy!(but yeah pause 😳)
Where’s the airplane gus?!😂
Tbh i like the crackshots ex only for one reason. When you use the heart ring and you can parry to get hp, you can actually use the parryable ex to get extra hp. I dont use the heart ring that much. But when i do its really helpful to use that ex.
I should've brought this up, but yeah, that's definitely a super helpful feature!
Twist up is SO GOOD for the dlc bosses, i thought the three way yellow gun (forgot the name) was the worst dlc weapon bc twist up it one of my favs!
And i hate chaser.
Thanks for sharing!
2:15 I remember I had to do uncharged charge shots against humor honeybottom on expert and it was absolutely dreadful especially in the last phase
Charge and Roundabout have always been my go-to pair as well.
I mean technically if you’re good enough the practicality ranking doesn’t matter and instead the highest damage stuff with the best ex’s are the ideal weapons so honestly I’d rather have spreadshot or lobber over roundabout even though roundabout is pretty solid. Charge is very good in general though especially for S ranks so I agree with that
That makes sense. I mostly made the practicality category to keep beginning players in mind
putting twist up below chaser is criminal, that’s an insane amount of disrespect right there 💀
i would give uncharged shot a 0.1 usage bc if theres any moments i must not use the charged shot to sacrfice one of my lifes
That makes sense
Crimanally underated video.
Thanks!
I don’t consider un charged to be a “weapon option” because it is basically charge but different
this is really good video 9/10

@@SirPilky you're welcome
Thx for giving crack shot a full 10 because it's my main and it's op to me plus it is realy good when you use parry heart ring so u can use ur ex to get health fast if there's like no parrys and it's like chaser but sooooo much better
Thanks for sharing, and yeah, it works so well with heart ring!
Thanks for sharing! I'd say that's a solid strategy
@@SirPilky Honestly, i think if i had the dlc too, i can then replace chaser w/ crackshot and my strat would be even better!
@@SirPilky Oh!!!! Ill have to watch the live streams then!
I’d say that chaser should’ve been at #9 instead of twist-up, since twist-up isn’t really that useless, since it still does a fair amount of damage compared to chaser
Thanks for sharing!
I kinda disagree with ur opinion for some reasons
Twist up isn't really the best on any fight, but it is massivly uderrated. I won't pretend it is good, but you can use it if you know how to. Aiming down makes it cover the screen below you, because it will go sideways for example. Aiming up will work the same way.
Nice video but twist up being 9th is criminal
having 2 versions of charge but not the 2 versions of crackshot is criminal
Im just gonna say in my oppinion that crackshot is the best

Ok i think the chaser needs to be rated higher than peashooter just the sheer misses from peashooter will make the reliability of chaser much better in terms of dps, chaser trivializes some bosses as well while its ability to remove screen clutter is arguably better than crackshot. Plus in lobber you should mention that if you aim the ex on the ground it deals double damage and there is a method to make it deal triple damage too, its op and there is a solid reason it is used on speedruns.

Chaser, Coffee or Sugar and Smoke Bomb or Normal Dash is basically The Newbie Way.
Twist up is underrated if you're very good with it it's well very good
