  • As a new project i want to cnc machine a old Zundapp engine block which no longer be made. To complete the engine block there will be a total of 35kg of aluminium.
    In this video, im making the clutch cover and have its first test run!
    The video is made from small clips and pictures recorded with my phone. During the machining and assembly process.

    While I don’t know the history of Zundapp or Sachs for that matter, that engine looks like a Sachs, of which millions were made for various manufactures .

    It would be possible witch the same labor costs to assemble a full 2 liters of V-tvin. Why so much work I don't understand

      Because its a hobby project, and now i have the right 3d model i can adjust everything i want to make a future model with maybe a 2 cylinder.

    Zo leuk om te zien hoe je een replica blok gemaakt heb. Ik heb 135.000 km met zo'n Zündapp (KS-50? met voetversnelling) gereden van 16e tot mijn 28e. Wel een keer het hele blok uit elkaar gehad om lagers en koppelingsplaten te vervangen. Zo'n spijt dat ik dat ding weggegeven heb toen ik een auto kreeg.

    it would be really kool if he could find an old 1974 MB made in Florence Italy it was a 100 cc cool looking race bike like the zundapp and the hodaka I would have to look it up and see if I could find a photo of it problem was nobody in the USA knew how to work on these bikes from Germany or Italy

      Ich habe alles selbst mit einem Kapilar gemessen.
      Die Wellenpositionen habe ich mit meiner CNC-Mühle gemessen und als cmm verwendet.

    Yup... gruwelijk mooi man.... en je eigen naam dr in... super... mag je trots op zijn.... nu idd nog zelf een superbreedwand cilinder en kop maken... dan is het helemaal af... techneut eerste klas... geweldig👍👍👍👍😘

    Heb je mooi aangepakt ook mooie manier van opstelling. Hoeveel uur heeft de cnc gedraait? Is die machine van je werk of eigendom?
    De enige met een zelf gefreest blok.
    Ik kijk uit naar je waterkoeling cilinder. Top werk

      Volgens mij was alles met programmeren iets van rond de 120 uur frezen. De machine is een zelf gebouwde epoxy graniet freesbank. Je kan daar fimpjes van vinden op mijn kanaal.

    Wow nice project and craftsmanship.
    In the context of environmental madness, in more and more countries is it no longer allowed to drive 2-stroke mopeds. I think for another 30 years that fuel mopeds are no longer allowed to drive at all.Only electric mopeds, hmmm so no more long trips.

    Dit is echt mooi gemaakt. Ook mooi om te zien dat zelfs de olie kanalen zo er in worden geboord. Zat ook de andere filmpjes te kijken van je freesbank, zou wel een filmpje willen zien van het elektrische gedeelte en hoe de besturing werkt.

      Eding cnc can definitely be your friend on this one. They also sell smaller less complex controllers at lower prices

      Little more then 100 hours of programming and machining, combined with troubleshooting.

      i measured all shaft and mountig hole positions with the use of my cnc mill as a cmm. The rest of the dimensions i measured with caliper. didn't use a 3d scanner.

      Heb het laatst eens beetje zitten optellen. Kwam uit op ongeveer 100 uur aan frezen en freesprogramma's maken en dingen uit denken. En dan nog een dag of 4-5 om het model te tekenen.

      Yeah all machining videos are in realtime. The eding controller works really great i can really recommend it.

      Is the repeatability 0.01mm or is the accuracy of controller 0.01mm??
      How is in the 3d machining? Can I use it for mold machining?
      And in this time that you use of controller what is the bad point of it??

      @@mohammadrezagolbaz432 the accuracy is higher then 0.01mm. i didn't really have bad points but i would love to see that i can mount a spindle encoder. So i could do ridged tapping.
