  • ---sorry the upload of this part took almost a year...----
    For my next project im gone try to machine a zundapp 5 speed engine block.
    Last time i made a 4 speed engine the 5 speed is a little wider to house the extra gear. so the center part of the engine has some more challenges to machine. In this part im machining the clutch and ignition cover. Also i have some footage of a running engine.

    Wonder if he builds brand new running engines for KS 100 ZUNDAPP with either a 4 speed or a 5 speed transmission it would be Kool to be able to order a brand new running engine that way

    If you went to a larger flood coolant pump it might do a better job washing all those chips down into the tub. Usually a good flood system sprays so much you can’t even see the part.

      he could probably contact Rickman Metice in England and get a good street legal frame for a Rickman Metice Zundapp they used to make them back in the old days they were great little bikes it would have to be sold as a reproduction 1965 with a bill of sale in order to register it to be run on the street I would also have polished aluminum rims with stainless steel spokes but believe me that would be a beautiful bike

      yes but he has the machine and could make up a bunch of them. I have an old Hodaka Ace 100 2 stroke engine case and I bet you he could also build that vintage engine the same way. There was another old bike that I would really like to be able to get was a 1974 MB 100 cc bike made in Florence Italy I only ever saw 1 of them in the USA red silver with MB on the gas tank and that bike was a beauty too I had an old 1965 KS 100 Zundapp in the USA but there was nobody here in the country at the time that knew how to fix the engine I remember I had to send to Munich Germany for some of the parts but I had a problem with the main roller bearings they were all individual rollers that the transmision input shaft went into and I lost a roller they always fell apart and I had nobody I could talk to so oh well thats how it goes

    • @Svanitterzon
      @Svanitterzon  Рік тому +9

      Yeah i made the model my self, i guess it took me around a full week to make the 3d model. i used my cnc mill as a cmm to locate all the important features and hole locations.
      The rest i did with a caliper and some trail and error.

      @@Svanitterzon Really really impressing!
      A collegue of mine was annoyed by the poor quality of his Harley Davidson knucklehead engine so he machined his own.
      This is just as impressing.

    Mooi project! Heb je ooit het idee gehad om een watergekoelde cilinderkop zelf te vrezen? Zo een die te zien is op 13:00. Ik heb wel een paar van die koppen bewerkt door er water-cooled in te graveren, dat waren koppen waar de vinnen er van af waren gezaagd. Leuk om te zien dat jou eigen blook ook loopt! Verder nog grote plannen met je blokje?
