Anyone who makes hoaxes about Fred Rogers should be ashamed, really, you wanna stir dirt on a dead man who spent his life trying to make the world a better place. That's just sad.
I’m just more annoyed with how they tried to present it. It could have been that as a former war soldier he saw the hardships of reality and wanted to make a future where that wouldn’t be a thing(well, the killing and all that, life is no doubt really hard to live through at times) and instead wanted to spread kindness and hope and unity by saying he wants to befriend anyone he can meet. Why of all things they must go down that the character was a persona to hide a history of lies?

@OpalRoars It is more in general, some theories are interesting but most of them are just "*Insert character* is dead/in a coma/takes place in their heads" is the most used one
I agree. That's one nasty "theory" doing the rounds that the entirety of the Harry Potter story is actually a delusion from Harry, even having some "psychiatrist" (read- psychobabble quackery) to back this up. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that the guy who came up with this was one of those guys who put spoilers up all the time, but now just about _everyone_ knows the story had to think "How can I spoil this for readers now?"
The duck brothers theory is beyond stupid XD That isn’t even CLOSE to Ringo’s voice! It just sounds like people doing a Beatles impression. Gosh, it kills me.🤣🤣
I never actually believed that the Duck Brothers we’re voiced by Ringo Starr. I thought they sounded like Jess Harnell (who did the voice Wakko Warner).
Mel Blanc, the true pioneer of Voice Acting was thought for many years to be dead a good 25 Years or so before his actual passing due to the Honolulu Newspaper misreporting over the UPI and AP Newswires that he'd been killed in a terrible car accident in Southern Cal. Though Blanc was indeed severely injured in such and wasn't able to voice Barney Rubble on The Flintstones for a short time due to it. He certainly wasn't dead. Newspapers in them thar old time days instead of The Internet but, the result was still the same......This kind of thing is nothing new that's for sure!
I think I remember one of the reasons the "Steve died because of drugs" rumor started was because the guy who played Steve had appeared on shows like Law and Order and Homicide: Life on the Street and, if I remember (i haven;t seen the episode of the former in years), his character in Law and order was the victim of the week for that episode. I don't know what his character appearance on Homicide was, but both of them were early/pre-Blues Clues with the Law and Order being the first one on his IMDb page and I'm guessing that seeing Steve's Law and Order character die from what was first thought to be a drug overdose (it was later revealed not in the episode), the rumors/hoaxes of Steve dying began.
Man, talk about the Mr. Rodgers’ one. Really, does everything need a darker ending to things? No. No it doesn’t. Oh same for the Barney one, now that’s just plain right stupid.
What was so compelling about Mr. Rogers being in the military wasn't so much that we couldn't believe he was as nice as he portrayed himself to be, but that he was able to sort of "atone" for his past sins in the military and give so much good to the world in spite of it. It was inspiring to hear a story about someone who killed many different people go on and create one of the most wholesome TV shows ever put to film. The rumor was an inspiring thought which showed that despite the amount of bad things you've done you still have a chance to turn it all around. It was the idea that you don't necessarily have to be good from day one to be good overall that made the rumor so compelling. At least for me anyway
Heck yes. That's one alternate reality that I always found compelling. A good soldier fights to protect the innocent. Not all people who serve the government are good, but it's unreasonable to say they don't exist.

I also was really scared about college bc I knew it’s where my sister would go when she left high school and I thought people who went to college never came back for some odd reason, like going to college meant you could never see your family again.

Hey Blameitonjorge, I have a few video suggestions:
1. Cliffhangers in movies/TV shows/video games/anime that will probably not be resolved
2. Super Smash Bros ripoffs
3. Saddest moments in sitcom shows
4. Lost or cancelled movies/TV shows/anime
5. Lost or cancelled Super hero movies/TV shows
6. Disturbing Documentaries you should think twice before watching.
7. Theories that Humans are evolving
8. Cancelled Downloadable Content
9. Removed Content in video games that would've made it better if kept
10. Deleted Scenes from movies that would've made it better if kept
Viz Anime Fan I guarantee that first suggestion was created solely with Half Life 2: Episode 2 in mind
Viz Anime Fan You mean platform fighters? They’re not seen as ripoffs anymore, like open-world sandbox games aren’t seen as Grand Theft Auto ripoffs anymore.
If anything, the ones that do share the most traits with SSB are explicitly tributes/homages (i.e. Rivals of Aether, which was made by competitive Smash players _for_ competitive Smash players), while others change the gameplay enough to be not even confusable with it (i.e. PlayStation All-Stars).

This is why people need to do their research.
One thing I remember differently from that Spongebob episode is, instead of Spongebob saying "I'm fine, Gary" I recall "I-I'm blind, Gary!!"
Ex-military would still have been wholesome.
Capt. Kangaroo, Bob Ross, and many others are proof of this.
Heck yes. That's one alternate reality that I always found compelling. A good soldier fights to protect the innocent. Not all people who serve the government are good, but it's unreasonable to say they don't exist.
Anthony Field of The Wiggles was also in the military back in the 80s.

I was familiar with the majority of these hoaxes. Some of them are just ridiculous. I remember hearing the one about Steve in school (and the one about Walt Disney being cryogenically-frozen) from a teacher, not some kid at recess. It's amazing how people eat this garbage up without using logic or doing a bit of research. Great vid, by the way.
