We are planning to sail to NZ next year and are loving your videos. You are people after our own hearts. (We also love walking, kayaking, snorkelling, wildlife, eating and sailing.) I appreciate that you prefer scenery to selfies!
Oh , you are really going to LOVE NZ. the seafood and the wineries and keep an eye out for figs , they grow wild all over the place. Lovely to here your enjoying our videos thank you.
@@SailingPivo We agree, we were very lucky with the weather when we were there and no other boats. one bad thing happened there though, just as i was ending my drone filming a seagull knocked it in the water. luckily we found it on the bottom and got the card out to retrive the footage but the drone was shoot and 1 week out of insurance!!
@@CruisingSunrise geez.... That's a bummer. We're still figuring out the Drone. But man, when we get footage, it's so much fun to watch.. Such an epic view!
Beautiful scenery, a pleasure to watch guys! I’m considering buying a small yacht in Auckland and I was wondering, how do you feel the Hauraki Gulf stacks up cruising-wise to the rest of NZ? With a smaller boat and limited experience, I think it would be wise to stay in the Gulf for a while, but wondering if it would be worth my while Cheers
Absolutley loved the Hauraki Gulf but there are many many areas to cruise easily on the east coast of the North island. just take it one step at a time , as your confidence grows you will venture futher. Having fun is all about the weather , if its not right dont go just because you have the day off.
@@CruisingSunrise Great advice. Can’t wait to get on the water myself! It was originally UA-cam that inspired me to get out to a local club and start crewing, now thanks to people like yourselves I’m actually doing it. Hope to see more of your videos :)
Well I had 17 on day so that was fun. Kept 3 and they were delicious. But generally fishing has been disappointing and I still haven't caught a kingfish.

People keep saying videos are improving but this was the first one I found on your time line. Great drone footage and narration by the way.
Nice video improving all the time, I hope the kids are happy with your editing
Thanks David. Its definitely a challenge for us older folks! Haha! Glad you like it.
