To EVERYONE watching this thinking this is the typical home price in Austin: IT IS NOT AT ALL. It would have been more honest to say this is what you could get in 2017 to MAYBE early 2019, in Old south Austin or old north Austin in the Rundberg or the old Austin area near north 183/US1. From the look of the house and when they showed the window and you could see the outside, it could be one of those areas.
That’s how it is everywhere right now. Prices this time last year was around 20% cheaper. The low mortgage rates compensated for the higher prices but now there’re slowly rising. Todays rate was 6.5% compared to the 2.6%. So something has to give, the housing market will take a hit if not. I hope ppl that are buying locked in their rates.
You can tell by the price that they purchased the home years ago. It would probably go for $500,00-$750,000 MINIMUM depending on the area. Love the eclectic style!
I came to the comments just to find the one that reflects the current market. I know people who moved to Austin from DC and California a couple years ago with a plan to buy an affordable house around this time. Now, they’re going home because they might as well keep renting near their families.
Refinery needs to advertise these more... I've missed the last year of videos people they never popped up on my feed. They are awesome and deserve more viewers
As someone born and raised in Austin, Just an FYI to add to the other comments, I own a 984 sq ft condo about 8 minutes North of DT and it just got appraised for over 400K... the price of this home listed doesn't exist anymore.
0:23 I love how she matched the line of the painting up with the pink wall. That green on the other one is a beautiful colour. I need a wall around my bathroom though!
Love your space and charismatic charm! My fav pieces would be the Tiger - my Highschool mascot and the collie cards, Doberman bar picture and the dog duo above the sewing machine because I collect dog decor primarily Germ Shep but can’t pass up any dog decor.
$320K was the price of that home "a couple of years ago" she says. I wonder what the current price would be. Austin prices have skyrocketed in the last year so I think this is a bit misleading.
I currently live in Austin and there is not really anything available in that price range for that size of home. I was looking at a 1BR less than 1000SF and it costs 275k. By the time things hit Zillow they are already under contract. Meanwhile My rent went up 30%. I likely won’t be able to afford to live here much longer
Lock in your rate if you know you’re staying on the market. It’s like $1000 to lock it in you just have to find something within that time frame. every day it’s been going up and predicted to rise.
That house likely was renovated to be open concept. Chances are it did not come this way. So for her to say "interesting fact"... she took it and made it modern. You can have vintage things but kind of throws it away by having an open concept. Most homes, if not all homes originally built in the 70s was not open concept. Its so unfortunate how people seem to take 70s homes and redo them all. It takes away what the 70s was. I grew up in a home built in the 70s, plus I got history books on homes and styles of homes, including architecture. I love homes. Open concept is newer in history. Even victorian homes were not open concept.

The rush from CA and NY ruined the old Austin. Now the median home is 500k.
She mentions that she bought the house 2 years ago so that makes sense.
I LOVE the style they have incorporated into this home!!👌🏼

I was thinking the same thing. This is NOT what $320K will get you in Austin today!
I feel like it’d be more accurate to say what that house it worth now…$325k gets you nothing now in Austin
This style is RIGHT ON. The Uniqueness is AMAZING!!!

Yeah, I don't know. I like it but I also think I'd get sick of it awfully fast.
Contemporary/modern houses in Austin are 🔥
Cheers from San Diego California

I love the 70's style.
I love the house and her fashion style! 😊
When was this purchased bc $320k is not realistic in north atx anymore

I feel the house is to dark and claustrophobic 😬
Such a beautiful place!!! Love the 70s look Iwish I could decorate my apartment like that one day😍😍

Those little foxes her sister made are adorable. That room they are in is my favorite!
What a beautiful home! So inspired by this
Absolutely love your style! I grew up with Elvis playing, would love that in my office 💙
I thoroughly enjoyed this home tour
very beautifuly done! One of the best I've seen in this channel. You have a very good taste!!!!!

5:54 growing up (and my parents might still have it) we had one of those wicker things you hang up on the wall to beat your rugs with!
This is a $750k home now in Austin. The title of this video is very misleading.
This is my dream house ! So much energy around.Such a vibes

Beautiful home.
We had those grapes (at 1:47) in our house growing up.
we had the purple, wish I can find that blue
FIRST AYYYYYY OMG YES IT FINALLY HAPPENED
Off topic but her hair is a beautiful colour!
Wallpaper seems so hard to apply; those small gaps would drive me crazy

Can we get some light?? Lol
Dear fairy god mother….when can Singapore achieve such affordable housing….

🔥🔥🔥👍….
I LOVE your style! Keep Austin weird
I couldn't have a bedroom without a window...
Not a fan of this space- the loud 70s prints and colors are too much for me.
She got way too much going on in her home….not too crazy about it.

Who?
🧡💗
For $320k? HAH, NOT ANYMORE.
But it's a leopard not a cheetah😭
Awful
Goodness, I agree. So tacky.
It’s better than the other style of Austin- Olive Garden boomer chic
