- Don’t buy this Viking fridge! Cheap plastic drawers that crack, bad ice-maker, bad board, broken door stop. Save your money! Sorry for my appearance! I’m cleaning and I’ll be getting my hair done next week! 😊
100% agree. Almost all the items she mentions have been problems for us as well. Seems like every component has or is failing. All the plastic, not just the doors but the inside door panels, all crack and failing. The hinge on the bottom right, broken. It does not defrost properly. The ice maker fails. Total hink of junk!
100% agreed We have had the exact same issues and got it repaired and repaired for 10 years now..Now we want to take out the water and trying to figure out how to pull it form the whole. Worst refrigerator ever
I agree with this woman hundred percent! She’s so right on everything! Hers is only two years old give it a little bit more time mine is leaking all over the floor! The compressor can’t keep up freezes up it’s a piece of crap! I’ve spent so much money trying to get it fixed! I would not buy Viking anything! The company is absolutely no help either!
Yes! Agree! We have the same one, it breaks down every year, we spend hundreds to thousands fixing it every year because it was too expensive to just throw away… It is an AWFUL PRODUCT FROM VIKING!

This is probably after Viking got bought out? Original Viking made study parts. Just got one of these from 2003, still runs great, all the shelves and drawers got transported in the fridge by accident, (through a bumpy 2 hour drive on its side) and all the parts were all over the place but none were damaged.
I totally agree with this refrigerator. Cracks all over the interior of the fridge and freezer.
the Viking fridge that was in our home when we moved in were all cracked too. mind u it was 15 years old when we got rid of it during Reno's but I had to repair it twice on the 6 years since we moved in for various reasons. I'll never pay top dollar for something that just looks pretty and functions like a 500$ fridge. I got an. integrated fisher and Paykel now. it's only been about 4 mths so we'll see how it holds up. at least for the price rage the FP is half the price of viking thermador etc and provides the integrated look/option
Couldn't agree with you more. We have all the same problems plus ours just stopped working altogether after 2.5 years. It's a total piece of junk.
I have a Viking D3 which i am dropping in the back alley hoping city take it as trash. I fixed it 4 months ago for a humidifier filter costing me $500 but no more; I will buy a Samsung or Whirpool.
I agree. Viking sucks. I have to defrost the freezer at least once per month.
I did too but realized why. 2 important things. Always keep both freezer and frig at the factory temp settings. And most importantly, DO NOT block the vents. As soon as one is blocked, it will immediately start to ice over. We've had zip lock bags pushed up against it or a box and instant freeze. Lastly, there is virtually no suction on our door. Make sure nothing is sticking over the shelves causing the door not to close so the way. Even the slightest will cause icing over

My Viking never worked properly from day one! Sucks
We have the older model which has regular light bulbs. They have been good for over ten years. However, the drawers are as bad as the ones from this video, if not worse. We had to hot glue and duct tape them everywhere. The controls of temperature is not accurate at all. Had to set both freezer and fridge temperatures as high as it allows. Otherwise frozen all over even in the fridge side. Sorry we didn't buy a SubZero instead.
I got the same problems with my series5 48" refrigerator such as craked drawers and dairy compartments on top of sensor and thermostat problem. Just wonder if we could we file a class action law suit against Viking?

huh , I bought this home with a viking 48 with ice maker , this viking has never had an issue zero maintenance , going onto 15 years now .
Yes yes1000x agree. Do not buy. Bottom hinge quickly snapped, lights all out, board and frost issue in freezer.
SAME exact problems here! We have gotten 2 replacement drawers and I gotta figure they get hundreds of requests due to the cheap design. There should be a mass recall. Our ice maker is messed up as well.
The control panel at the top is horrible as well. Read the manual and it is the worst. Why can't it be a simple knob for the refrig and one for the freezer; cold....colder....coldest? No. You have to read the manual and even then it is the worst ever. Sucks a big one for sure. Very disappointed in what is supposed to be a High End appliance.

Yup! My secondary fridge, my old Samsung that has moved from two houses with us, hasn’t had one issue in all these years. It’s the fridge we rely on.

Couldn't agree with you more that its an over priced piece of junk! I have an older model that has a light in the worst place and you can't get any of the shelves to work around the light! So frustrating and I hate this refrigerator.
They all have plastic that cracks quickly and costs as much as a house payment to replace a small drawer; the large pull-out drawer has bad bearings and is made out of cheap sheet metal, which bends under thebslightest load and causes the drawer to hangup if you actually try use it for food storage.
What did you expect from people who design and make these things in Greenwood, Mississippi? The owners of this fine company probably drive expensive, hand-made foreign cars and have fancy European appliances in their mansions, while paying minimum wage rates to their employees to produce the terrible products they sell. This is my humble opinion, after having lots of trouble with my Viking range and my Viking refrigerator.

@@hollypeterson4814 already having problems with it. Calling service guy tomorrow. Continuous swishing sound noise from the bottom at the floor, underneath the freezer. We'll update when I know more
Just bought a house with a Viking fridge. It’s probably from the early 2000s. It’s junk. It keeps freezing my food and drinks on the fridge side
My Viking fridge has had 3 different set of drawers and ALL OF THEM BREAKE for no reason. Crappy and expensive brand!!
