12:24 I absolutely love this! I am a newly converted Christian, having went all in back in April 2022. This would have been a lovely set to have to get my grasp on the themes and tone of the Bible. The nature and writ of the Bible was very overwhelming, and almost off putting in a way. It was a lot to ingest and take in, and the format of it didn’t really help much either. But this set is absolutely lovely. I REALLY want to get my hands on a set of these! also that wood case is stellar, no cap, looks like a billion bucks
This reminds me of the 6 book ESV set by Crossway in the walnut slipcase. Very beautiful. I'm really curious about the Bibliotheca since I've never read that translation and heard it's got the apocrypha also.
Thanks for the review Tim. I've paid for the next release in 2023 and can't wait to dig in. As a primer, I recently picked up the 4 gospels in the readers version, and just as i thought, i enjoy reading these more that the standard bible. Great idea that's come to life.

I don't want to sound like "that guy," because these are clearly beautiful renditions of the Holy Bible, but as a Tridentine Roman Christian, I have seen others in my group talk about how good of a Bible it appears to be, but refuse to get it, given the word "apocryphal" makes it seem as if the books we believe are in the Canon are not legitimate, and also includes books that aren't even in the Deutrocanon, such as the Prayer of Manasses, or III and IV Maccabees. 🙏From your brother in Christ.
Might as well make a walnut front cover in a similar style that slides backwards over the box. Especially if one of the sales points is a bible for posterity. That way the books aren’t sun damaged. They could also do custom engraving. Make it the $200 walnut option
I love the idea of a translation mining the ASV for the beautiful, more classical language. I'd like to vet it a lot more before purchasing. I don't particularly like how the type layout isn't justified and it seems to be set too far inside the page.
