Sir Elton, I’ve seen hundreds of live performances, aka concerts. In my 60+ years, and my first was in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA, back in the 1970s. You were the surprise star after Chicago and The Beach Boys.

I saw Don Henley in Atlanta several years ago. The first thing he said when he came on stage was to tell everyone to put their phones away and “capture the moment with the best camera, your memory”. Thankfully everyone abided with the exception of one guy who Don said would be removed after the first song but let him stay. It was amazing to be free of those stupid phones.

No.1 concert of my life lady gaga 2022 and Elton no.2 in 2019. I was sober both times and all the better for it.
