You're right, he's no longer suffering. Thanks for sharing those thoughts. I have 3 songs lined up for mine, Music, John Miles, Teo Torriate (let us cling together), Queen and Time to say Goodbye, Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman. Hope you're doing OK, bearing in mind the circumstances x
He will truly never be lost. Great music never dies, nor does the legacy of great artists. We must always appreciate his strong and positive impact on music, both of which still lives on to this day ❤
He always had so much respect for other peoples song and always sung them brilliantly check ourt his version of 'Aint no stopping us now', absolutely brilliant version of an already perfect son
It's listening to artists like George Michael and Elton John that make me proud to be British. Sure my country isn't perfect, far from it, but I'll be damned if anyone says that Britain hasn't created some of the greatest singers the world has ever seen.
Obsessed with this. I really didn't get into George Michael's music until recently. My parents were traditional as I was growing up and he wasn't listened to for his lifestyle. After his death, I heard many clips of his music and also stories of how kind he was. So I listened to his songs and watched news clips on him. What a wonderful and profusely talented man! I only wish I found that out before his death. Glad he left his music behind for us to enjoy. Rest In Peace !
I don't know how many countless times I've listened to this song. Here it is January 2020 and I'm listening. This was the perfect collaboration, then, now and forever. I melt everytime I hear George's voice. I love Elton as well but there's something that George possesses in his voice that is tender, velvety, and powerful all at the same time. When his voice sores at 5:47, it brings me chills. I don't know how one person's voice can affect me like this, but I am grateful for it. Not to mention that George was the most gorgeous specimen of a man I've ever seen.
@@tylerwalker4646, I always love to look at the reaction on Elton John's face when he is watching George just soaring towards the end of the song when they're together on stage.

I think this is probably the best live performance of any song of all time…Period. The stars just aligned that night and everything came together perfectly, from the super pronounced piano (in Elton John style), to every musician completely in the zone and in sync with each other, to the music just pouring out of George Michael in the form of pure emotion, and then the introduction of Elton John and the stadium erupting. Absolutely flawless performance.
Danni Kevin Indeed!! Devastated is an understatement. We r robbed of possibly the most amazing voice of the 80s and 90s when I was growing up!! RIP George! Thank you for the music!!
There is something about this duet that just speaks to me every time. The lyrics, the passion, the energy, and the humility draws you in. Elton John is so gracious. George Michael was such an original. One of my all time favorite live performances. Feel it❣️
Their voices are so powerful, passionate, perfect and raw! It hits your soul like a freight train! Absolutely amazing and the energy is insane. Flawless. ❤️

We're never gonna have a singer so tuned like George Michael. This song he sang with Elton has been unforgetable.....you really should have lived more George Michael.
I think really the apex of the popstar was reached and whereas we all say stuff is crap as we age, there just isn't the recording megastar like there was. One or two maybe but no equals to Bowie, Mercury, Dylan, Elton John, George Michael etc.
No words to describe George Michael's voice...not only a beautiful voice but he had tons of charisma...He just gives me chills. Lost him way too soon... RIP

Every time I hear George Michael sing I have a tear in my eye. The man was so talented, so misunderstood, so underrated, and taken far too soon. I'm glad he and Elton were able to bury the hatchet and put past disagreements aside before his passing.
... so discriminated too for his//their own sexual orientation, let's never forget that. They were part of that LGTB+ movement that made a 2023 with a world still with bigots in it, but many, many less than before.
Not knowing that Sir Elton John will appear and share his energy and spirit with you I has no price! Seeing him perform is an unforgettable uplifting event. How wonderful life is with him in the world!
About a year ago I was in my car waiting at a traffic light, cars all around me when this song came on, I put the volume right up and was singing along, a young guy was crossing the road a few cars down, I was watching him and his eyes scanned the traffic for where the music was coming from..and found me..he was singing the song as well, he sang to me I sang to him….it was just a beautiful moment and the generation gap never meant a thing….i will never forget it…thank you Elton and that young guy for giving us both an unforgettable moment in time…
How beautiful ❤️ I still listen and sing to this song George Michael will be so dearly missed. Elton John still gives me goosebumps with them both makes this song so beautiful and so very powerful
Exceptional performance. George Michael puts so much emotion in his singing. Magical voice. One of the very best vocalists of all time. A great duet ! Will miss his excellence.
+Donna Stokes - you know, I think George kind of made so many of his peers look like weak singers by way of his sheer talent. I mean those pipes of his were GOLDEN!! I have watched George with Stevie Wonder, Smokie Robinson, Sting, the Coldplay lead etc. and really, what do you think? George just ROCKS! Now, when he's with Aretha, now there he might have had a good contest! God Bless him! I hope he's rockin' with the Angels!
@moscowguitarman I'll try to find it, but yes, it was recorded live and there's a short video somewhere showing the recording of it that night. I saw it years ago, hopefully I can still find it, but yes, it was most definitely recorded live, that's one reason that sends this amazing performance totally off the planet. It's easiest to just go read the Wiki article. It states what was said in the video I saw years ago . Look up Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me on Wiki and it's at the bottom of the page listed as " Elton John George Michael Version "
Kayla Antalek this kind of music will never get old. I’m 34 and I play Elton all the time for my 8 & 9 year old daughters. They love it! Great to hear great music like this

How ironic is it that George Michael healed so many of us our souls were healed, but we didn’t soothe his soul . You are missed every day by this planet.
Así es, es una gran tristeza que haya desaparecido una tan hermosa y maravillosa voz como la del Gran Jorge Michael 😢 No me canso de escuchar esta y todas sus canciones...
It was very rare seeing Elton standing and singing without the piano. Almost priceless. Two British legendary singers teaming up and creating a pop cover classic for all time.
You CANNOT replace singers like these two. They are megastars! Just listening to this made me miss George Michael so much. He left us way too soon. Very heartbreaking.
Long time ago, I was working I think it was at Wembley Arena, maybe Docklands or Earls Court, and George Michael was doing warm up / rehearsal sessions for a new tour. I remember being there one afternoon when he was centre stage on his own, running through the material. He was beautifully dressed, in a suit - looking as stunningly handsome as he always did, but dressed just as though it was a show. Seemed to be his natural persona, to be in a smart, well-cut suit. He ran through those songs, most of them Sixties classics, and did not drop a single note, did not miss a single lyric. Every single one pitch perfect, note perfect, every flippin' lyric in there too. He was an absolutely extraordinary musician. Just incredible. Every last single bit of it, his work was bang on perfect. Just extraordinary. And a very gentle, professional but warm vibe. A very sweet soul.
@@gracec3418 Thanks for the nice story. I have been listening to George's music lately, and it is sickening he left this earth so soon. He was like Princess Diana - a kind soul that was tortured in their own way. I hope George finds peace and happiness where he is now. It's disgusting that his former lover, Kenny Goss, tried suing George's estate after he's gone. People just have to try and stick their hands in the proverbial cookie jar to try and get the last cent out of poor George.
God...his voice is like an elixir for the soul. The smooth jazzy sound...the velvety texture...his phrasing...making each lyric his own. Elton was so proud to have George bolster his classic hit. I miss George so much. He is so beautiful.

Bruce Lee : My feelings exactly. George Michael's music brought me so much joy throughout my teenage/ 20's, 30's years. I have all of his albums except for "Symphonica". George Michael's death came as a shock..to the world..so sad. Not even members of his family knew he was reclusive and depressed. Praying for them.
What I really love about this-aside from the fact that it is a truly great song spectacularly sung-is Michael's attitude. You can see it a couple times, particularly when Elton first comes on, George Michael is absolutely thrilled to be on stage with Elton. The respect is overwhelming, he is truly a fan. Almost like a kid getting to kick the ball around with his favorite football player. It brings a measure of joy to the performance that one rarely is lucky enough to be a part of. But he doesn't fawn, rather he celebrates the moment by taking this song together with its creator to new creative heights. Beautiful and moving.

The stars just aligned that night and everything came together perfectly, from the super pronounced piano (in Elton John style), to every musician completely in the zone and in sync with each other, to the music just pouring out of George Michael in the form of pure emotion, and then the introduction of Elton John and the stadium erupting. @moscowguitarman George Michael is AMAZING live, trust me, it's real lol
@moscowguitarman I'll try to find it, but yes, it was recorded live and there's a short video somewhere showing the recording of it that night.
