2- Blackstar
3- Marshall
4- A speaker from a 2010 laptop
5- Headphones Made in China that cost less than $1
6- Fender
I might be the most stereotypical guitarist ever i have a les paul and a $50 marshall amp
2010 is generous. I used computers ten years older than that with speakers that sounded better.
I think the fender headphone out sounds the best (but speaker is garbage), but the Blackstar speaker sounds the best (most of the time)
😄 🤣 😂 you kill me
Why do you always think China makes bad products? As a Chinese I am kind of offended by this. I am not trying to offend anyone else but China does have a wide range of products for price and quality, so it's like you get what you pay for.
This is how reviews should be done.
This is a demo, not a review. Or did you heard any word about how the "reviewer" thinks about the amps? There is nor a thesis, nor a conclusion. It's just not a review.

Thanks 👍
Definitely ...I agree !
That Marshall is a little TIGER ...!!
I agree so much with your comment.
I think it depends. Usually the reviewer is in the room and can tell us a few things that we may not hear over the Internet. I always like to hear the reviewer's final opinion.

Orange and Blackstar for a little late night couch jam. Hell yeah!
Straight up. The blackstar battery last forever too. It’s nothing for me to play my guitar in 4 rooms a day just where it is so mobile.
Or a boss katana mini
Actually REALLY impressed with how the blackstar sounds in all categories!! Like it sounds REALLY good, even for a full sized amp
Yeah like it has a bit of instability of the low end.. but it actually has a much more tangible low end than the rest.
Lol the blackstar sounds like a very crappy Chinese toy. Which is probably what it is
The Fender amp genuinely sounds like an iphone speaker.
Zack The iPhone speaker sounds way better
@@mariusreiter9493 Honestly though I feel like if you somehow enjoy the sound that the fender amp makes you should just buy an iRig for your phone.
perfect for playing noise pop

Dismal Realms My thoughts exactly! So I’m kinda confused if the original comment on this thread was saying the fender was trash. I’d like to know pls lol.
Fender has good cleans but awful distortion
As always 😂
To me the best
@@cebrinpitts Right! As always, I hated my Fender champion 20 amp!
@@rtomas47 I had a Hot Rod Deluxe. SAME problem. I just used pedals for overdrive.
@@cebrinpitts Boss Katana 100 is solution :D or something like Mesa or Marshall if ur rich
The Orange has an 8ohm speaker out, let's not forget! Huge advantage over the others - I plug it into a 1x12 cabinet at home and the sound is much improved but still quiet. Just as portable as the rest for traveling
I plugged it into my mesa oversized 4x12.... you know man. Totally different animal.
The people who disliked purchased the fender amp before watching this 😏
But the clean tho!
That orange is killing
I have one of these but it randomly now doesn't output. Worth mentioning that the sound is better as the speaker is physically a lot bigger than the others
Agreed
Try the regular Orange amps. Rockerverb is awesome. Cant afford it tho.
Yep
It is!!
I liked the orange and the black star

Marshall: "Clean" is relative.
Fender sucked on everything else but on the clean ones its beautiful
omg Those cleans were so GORGEOUS it made me consider buying it just for that alone, even though everything else was just awful! lol
Orange and Blackstar are the winners for me.
blackstar is trash orange is way more better but for blues its fender and for headphones fender is amazing ı know bcs ı have fly 3
Same giants
I am getting an electric guitar soon, which amp you guys think i should get?
@@nicknxxb1022 It depends on what style you play and how much you're willing to spend. Marshall is the cheapest mid-range, easiest for transrport and lot of fun. Orange is good compromise, it plays also louder clean tones and really cool overdriven. Blackstar has suprisingly good clean tone, nice OD and delay, but is also most expensive. If you're looking for something for home, pedal friendly, try some second-hand tube 5 watter. You can get one under $80-$100 on ebay I believe..
Congratulation, you won a ticket that allow you to buy yourself fucking ears
I’m a fender fanboy but, I know when I’ve been beat
Fuckin iPhone speaker kinda shite
Yeah me too. I think the orange won this round
The cleans were real nice though imo
I know.
I'm a Fender fan as well and I agree, but the Fender cleans were nice. The overdrive tones were terrible though. IMO the orange had the best combination of clean and overdrive. The Marshall has a decent overdrive too but the clean was not great. And I'm neither a fan of Marshall or orange.
The blackstar gives you that gig vibe when distorted
I love all of these. I’m a fan of the “torn speaker” kind of distortion so even the Fender worked for me. Hands down the best cleans.
for me:
Blackstar
Orange
Marshall
Fender
Agreed!!
JoshDanielsMusic
Yes
Orange ......
JoshDanielsMusic orange won that easily
For me:
Best overall: Orange
Best overdrive: Marshall
Best clean: Fender
The orange had great clean and overdrive tones. For just clean though I'd go with the Fender. The Blackstar was still ok on both fronts but I thought the Fender had a much better clean tone and the Marshall and Orange had better overdrives. The Marshall clean is lacking. So IMO the orange is the clear winner, and I'm normally not a big fan of their amps.
Looking for that one dude who says "I think the Fender one's distortion sounded good"
Here i am :) and i have an orange
Yeah it sounded good to me , but im new to electric guitar , whats wrong with that type of distortion ?
Probably because it was treble heavy and the sound is too scattered
The fender overdrive wasn’t good but the clean was better than the others. I think if you use two of these with an a/b switch you’d have a great combo. Say like fender for your clean channel and Orange for the dirty and overdrive channel. I mean they’re fairly cheap so you could easily afford two or more of these.
@@RajShekhar-jy2zi It was very squeaky (too much presence).
Marshall sounds the most “Classic” and smooth tone that isn’t harsh. Blackstar sounds good but a bit Synthesized sounding.
Agreed, and the cleans on that Fender were gorgeous and it's only reason to exist (all else was just awful).
yes i just bought one of those marshalls i hope i dont regret it lol
@@carlinisatnirvana8499 did u ?
@@blast6190 no i dont, it is mostly for my electric ukulele, which it works great for, and it works alright for guitar
Interesting how they all sound exactly the same on headphone output.
I thought that was just me getting confused. I guess they did all sound the same on headphones output?
Because there's no amplifier output stage or speakers/cabinet involved. With HP's you simply have a preamp and volume/tone control so in effect you are just getting the sound of your guitar through your headphones.
The Orange and Blackstar are by far the best two in all comparisons. Out of those two it's just a matter of personal tone taste. Either one is a good decision :)
Agree , personally I prefer the Fly 3 🙂
As is , out of the box - The Fly 3 is a very small guitar amplifier , and the others are very realistic novelty paperweights , that also happen to make noise .
Hooked into external cab , the Orange isn't bad .
I have been playing through an Orange OR for the last 25 years and as much as I wanted to prefer the Orange, the Blackstar sounds twice as good. I ordered the Blackstar with the extension speaker
Orange sounded the best overall. That fender sounded horrendous lol
Fender clean sounded beautiful, but yes horrendous any other way but clean.
The fender was too compressed and didn’t really have a “crunch” sound. It was overdrive or not with nothing in between. The Orange was the best all around.
I thought that the Marshall sounded the worst out of all of them with the Orange and Blackstar sounding the best. The Fender... meh.
The Marshall sounded like an old Emerson AM handheld radio. Yeah, that bad. lol
@@jchis9852 still you need to pay mor to get quality in Marshall and I like orange Marshall and blackstar this and are really good one to buy.
TOTALLY AGREE
I'll have to go with Blackstar as the winner.
Why am I the only one that things the Fender Mini sounded the crunchiest and rock hardest?
I watched this video 3 times and every time it went to the little fender, my ears went heck yeah! Best review on you tube 👍😁
To me, most of the time, the Fender sounded like it had a blanket over it.
1.Black star
2.Orange
3.Marshall
4.Fender
However, the fact hat the Orange has an extension speaker jack, makes me want it over the Blackstar. Wish it was okay for 4 ohms though, as I have a 12" Fender cab, 4 ohms.
I was surprised at how much different they all sounded from each other. I wasn't expecting that from a group of micro amps.
Orange. All the way around. You could use those sounds.
True, only one with actually "decent" sound, with external cabinet that thing sounded like a serious amp actually.
I liked the orange but the high gain didn’t have any clarity
@@scrumdiddily6162 just turn the shape all the way up, doesn't really turn it into a mesa boogie but makes the sound kinda clearer at high gain
I bought the 🍊 Orange myself but the Marshall sound was good too.
@@scrumdiddily6162 also the headphone out was distorting.
The Orange Crush has the best "tone" for the gain settings, but the Blackstar has the best speaker sound and best definition.
Surprised the Marshall wasn't on top. The Fender had pretty awesome gain settings, too.
The Blackstar is leagues ahead of the rest. So clean and clear like a real amp

I love this comment hahahh, this deserves thousands of likes.
The fender amp only sounded good without distortion, and when it did it just had a brain aneurysm
I agree Fender has never had good heavy tones.

I think the Marshall amp won the distortion overall, because it at least managed to sound somewhat like a terrible marshal amp lol
Blackstar on the gain tones but damn that Orange sounded great for cleans. I would even want to use it to record stuff with haha
i bought the blackstar with the additional speaker so its basically double the sound when hooked together. Absolutely love it!
Orange win for me
I really like the sound of Orange mini. Not that others are bad. Just a matter of taste.
I have the orange mini. No regrets.
Love my MiniCrush too. It feels like an Amp. And it definitely sounds better than this Recording. Sounds even better if you have 12volt power Into it🤘😎🤘
Not that other are bad? Fender is awful here...
@@punker-gamer-trucker-guy I've got the blackstar and its fantastic. The recording doesn't really do it justice, and I the orange really shone in this video. What's it like in real life?
1. Orange: Not the best with Headphone, but mic’d has good classic sound
2. Fender: Good cleans; the high gain has some fuzz that I like
3. Blackstar: Bit muddy at points; not the most crisp with high gain, but sounds nice with flat controls; not as distorted
4. Marshall: Decent with Headphone, but mic’d sounds like a toy
Yeah f*ck you
The fact that you put fender at 2 lmaoooo. It sounds like an iPhone speaker.
I regret my decision to create this comment.
Surprises me how people are always surprised at how good Blackstar are. They are great amps. I've been into them for some years now and currently own two.
The blackstar with headphones sounds like a legit rig
I actually use it as a pedalboard/backup amp😂
Johannes Butz
As a pedalboard? What?
I own one and it sounds horrible with headphones
@@whitebobross1341 I own one too and your statement proves you do not really own one. Nice try though. You fooled a few. Although I suspect one of the likes is your own, so fooled a couple.
“So what amp did you use to record the new album?” Reaches into pocket
So in 93 I recorded an MS2 with an 421 into an ensoniq ASR sampler that had great reverbs. The 421 pushed against the grill to get proximity effect. Everyone thought I recorded a JCM900 or Rivera Knucklehead since we had those in the shop. The SM57 doesn’t quite do it. Also a high quality verb would help significantly.
Honestly I really liked Orange, his yes is very full-bodied, but Marshall MS2's timbre pleased me with his drive.

Needed a new mini-amp for my daughter so I had her watch this video and take her pick. I use and prefer the Blackstar Fly 3 from this video and it is superb. After she watched the video, she picked the Marshall. I don’t think it’s the best here, but it has a distinctive sound/tone. Unique. Classic. A Marshall Amp. The Marshall mystique is real, even to a novice who is unaware of brands and fads.
Purchased the Marshall MS-4 online, which compared to the Marshall MS-2 is the “Marshall Stack” version with adjustable gain, essentially the same thing x2. Arrives this week, and I am excited to hear her use it.

It's a good comment, because that Fender didn't sound like a Fender. In fact it sounded like a peace of shit inside a can down the hill. Marshall rocks on dirty sounds, but not good for clean ones. I prefer the Rockstar (more like the Marshall overdrive but with great clean tones)
Can’t beat those mini battery operated black star amps when it comes to the portable category. Just bought one and It sounds great especially for high gain.
The cleans on that fender amp were impressive. I think the Marshall and Blackstar were best overall.
best side-by-side comparison I've seen/heard yet.
