Fantastic bit of outdoor cooking as always Chris 👌 Nothing gone to waste and such an economical way to make several meals. Ecozoom should be using you as an ambassador my friend. You've tempted me to buy one. Great stuff as always buddy. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Cheers, J 👍
Thanks Jason, ha ha I wish they would, but no luck. I said in a review it wasn't quite smokeless as they say it is and I guess they didn't like that. It's certainly worth it. Easier to get the flat griddle plate and cook a single meal but it was a nice day and so I had the time. No elec and thats the key, as always, thanks, Chris
@@northernembersoutdoors1045 Cheers Chris. I took a look at their La Plancha. That thing is a beast. I reckon you could cook up some amazing things on that mate 👌
Don't mean crash the conversation there S Outdoors but you mentioned you were tempted. Well, Chris talked me into it. I popped mostly on the basis of his work. We got it and used it for the first time last week. I LOVE the thing. It's not smoky at all once it heats up, but it will smoke up your cookware so ya gotta scrub the bottom as well as the top. I don't think Chris would lie to get a soda cracker. It's not in him. Ha. The thing is a wonder, for sure. Hard times likely coming. It's a good backup for the backup.
Thanks for an interesting video Chris. I have learned a lot from you regarding the Ecozoom cooking. I have 2 of them now they are a great bit of kit.. Take care, Cheers, Ian
Two EcoZooms, wow I'm jealous. If the cost of living keeps going up i was considering a second one. I like the La Plancha they have but cant really afford it, mayne one day! I'll see if I can think up anything cunning, thanks for watching and commenting again, cheers Chris
Cheers Gregor, pretty sure you do something similar, thrifty😎😎, the EcoZoom really uses so little fuel it's quite amazing. That power company will be bricking it!
Hey Giles, the EcoZoom is fantastic, I've had it nearly five years. It's the saving on electricity for me. Access to wood important etc. I'm taking a small rest from videos just now, one day I will find a fantastic vegan dish for you ha ha, hope you've had a great weekend, Cheers Giles, Chris
Cheers. Probably only bought ones to be honest. I remember, I think in the 80's in NZ this food coming available to us and everyone ate it, it was so popular but cant get it now I thihnk. for the life of me I cant remember it but when I do I'll see if you had it. I think it was bought frozen. Maybe a red packet. It had meat in the middle.
Howdy Chris! For some reason that I can't explain I had not subscribed. Took care of that! Your vid here popped up. Good vids just foller you around don't they kid? I learned an actual use for charcoal with the EcoZoom! We have pretty much the carbon copy of your dutch oven. Now I know how to use it with the heater. Neat! So, if you mentioned it, I didn't catch it. About how long did it take to roast up that bird? I freely confess that even though I'm a 'natural' man with vast outdoorsy experience I never got around to using muh dutch oven. Ha! Looks like a fun project for sure! Thanks again Chris. Ya done great! Your continual fan in the colonies, Norm
Hi Norm. I never got notified of your comment but have found it now. The EcoZoom they say is a multi fuel cooker and I have used mostly wood and some charcoal too. Must try another fuel. The chicken i cook with potatoes and carrots, the carrots i leave whole When they're cooked and soft the chicken is done. I would say an hour and a half and it's done, yesterday's it practically fell off the bone! I love the Dutch oven, so so handy. Thanks for checking this out Norm, have a great day. Cheers Chris
@@northernembersoutdoors1045 An hour and a half. Well, that's fine. Expected longer. I mentioned awhile ago to another pal on here on here (Down Grid Survival) that you had talked (videoed?) into the EcoZoom. Hmmm...sounds like we're talking about disposable telescopes or something. GREAT to hear from you my friend 6 timezones away. As they say in Jolly Ol'....Cheers.

Thats great, planning ahead to get the most out of one fire and one chicken for quick reheats later in the week. Very efficient. 👍

Love using the cast iron, looks delicious.
Can't beat cast iron, cheers
Great cooking out Chris. I was unfamiliar with the ecozoom until now. Love the presentation skills as always. Cheers Bud👍

very good, thats how cooking was done as a child on the stove though, many meals from one source, did you use to have rissoles?

Maybe it started with R. Ristoso or something
@@northernembersoutdoors1045 rissoles were made from left over meat from roasts, I left in 85
