How to Stay Motivated During Tough Times

  • It’s easy to become discouraged during hard times. Increased problems, such as job insecurity, fear of the unknown and everyday stress, can lead to anxiety and depression. Plan for success and overcome adversity with my FREE guide: bit.ly/1VZD8it
When so much is out of your hands, it’s important to remember what is in your control. Positive thinking is a strong force everyone can tap into. Do your thoughts nurture you and bring you hope for your future? If not, create a healthy belief system. Think uplifting thoughts, choose uplifting feelings and focus on creative ideas.
Toxic thoughts create toxic emotions. If you think fear, you will feel fearful. If you think you’re desperate, you will feel desperate. You can set yourself up for a good life or a life of failure. Here are some tips to help you with thinking positively and dreaming about a happy future, even in tough times. What do you have to lose?
Let’s make one thing clear at the beginning. Life is a continuous succession of both small and large problems. They never end. No sooner do you get control of one situation when you are hit by another. Life is a process of “two steps forward and one step back.” When you become a great success, you simply exchange one type of problem for another. No matter how smart and clever and careful you are, you’ll face challenges, difficulties and sometimes-heartbreaking adversities every day, week and month of your life.
And thank heaven for that! You couldn’t possibly have become the person you are today if you had not had to contend with adversity on your way up. Perhaps your chief aim in life and in your definition of great success is to develop a noble character, to become an excellent human being, to become everything you are capable of becoming. Only by contending with challenges that seem to be beyond your strength to handle at the moment can you grow more surely toward the stars and build upon your pillars of character.
There is a saying that tough times don't last but tough people do. In other words, if you can cope during the hard times, then you are going to be in a great position to make the most of the good times when they return.

love the part when you mentioned , do not blame others, accept your responsability if something is not going that you like, and get the facts, I have been doing that and it seems I find more focus on solving this problems rather than being angry, altough when you said , comunicate with others , that does not work for me, actually it makes me more impatient, because people start to judge me , or look at me like something is wrong with me, and that is something I personally do not like , anyway great video, and god bless you man,

If you are smart and is good at getting the info you might lack, you can turn something bad into something good. I do that ALL the time. There is no such thing as a bad situation in my life, even the bad shit that happens, no matter how bad or painful, I can ALWAYS turn it into something beneficial to me. Granted, I imagine it may be trickier in busyness than in life, but I'm fairly certain it can be done decently easy, with the right kind of mindset and a bit of intelligence to go with it. And perhaps alot of research, I am always studying, even right now when I had put off time to be resting... I swear... I'm the only person who can procrastinate resting by working instead. >>

This is great as always. One of the things I find that helps me stay focused and get ready for the day is to listen to some motivational content every single day. When you make that a part of your routine, you have the motivation that keeps you going on a daily basis, plus you grow as a result of it. All that motivation starts to seep in and you start becoming a better person and a new Leader, which we need more Leaders anyway. What helps you get started throughout the day?

Higher purpose? How about giving your family a better life? Sure we all die someday but isn't it a good way to leave this world knowing you don't have to worry about your children's finances? And money is just one factor of his videos, they're more about personal development.

Money is certainly important, but the most important, at least for me, is have a great life, with or without lots of Money. The funny thing is if you follow Brian Tracy's advice, you will achieve both.
But I understand where your coming from. Your question could be re worded to: "what's the point of following this advice if we lose all our money when we die?" My direct answer is, it's not all about the money. Being healthy, positive and feeling good about yourself comes first, and money usually follows as a result of all those things.
I don't want to turn this into a discussion about the afterlife or anything, but to me, death is just another journey, more discoveries to be made and more to experience. You can't take your money, but who knows, maybe you can take your attitude!

Jericho Benavente Your reply made me think of my uncle, now 82. Before he was 20 he decided he would make a success of his life. He became a technical engineer. He married a caring, dependable woman with whom he had four sons while living in a small apartment in a city. He worked very hard and long hours while his kids were young. His wife complained about that. He pointed at the next-door neighbours who lived with four teenagers in the same size apartment. "Do you want to live like them? Okay, I will work less. Do you want to have a house in the suburbs, then I will continue to work hard." She stopped complaining. After about ten years they bought a house in the suburbs. Besides working hard he also invested wisely. All his sons studied, eventually all married and all live not far from their parents. My uncle and his wife have 12 grandchildren. My uncle is quite rich and lives in an enormous villa in an upmarket area. They have an extremely close bond with their (grand)kids who all benefit from his wealth. He's helped them with buying houses, studying and gives tax-free gifts. My uncle never read a self-help book in his life and never listened to someone like Mr. Tracy. He is a natural self-starter and go-getter. He DECIDED that he would make a success of his life. What constitutes success is very personal. For him it was his career and family. I think these are noble goals, but as I said, it's personal. My uncle was a teenager when his parents divorced. His father was very bad with money. My uncle simply decided that he would make a success of his life. So it's the decision that counts and how you phrase it...

This is off-topic but i wanted to ask is this common??Im 33 years old and for the last 6 months i been doing a lot of personal development,i have pretty much turned my all worldview and behaviour around for the better and now it actually looks like im gonna do something good with my life.To my old friends i was always known as this careless fun guy who never says no to a weekend party but who was also a bit of a fuck up in life. And now what is happening is that most of the people in my life (some family members included) dont really want to know this new version of me,one by one i can see them distancing themselves from me.
I dont really mind that its happening its probably normal, but it is strange.Lot of people (most people) dont want you to change for the better even when they tell you that, because then they dont have that position anymore of being better than you is what i learned from my situation. So if your doing a lot of personal development and you want to completely turn your life around you better start to enjoy your own company.

    • @TimTheEnchanter170
      @TimTheEnchanter170 9 років тому

If you're happy with yourself and for the better absolutely do it. Not only will it benefit you, but the people around you as well. The reason your family and friends may be keeping their distance from you may be because it's all sudden. I'm pretty sure they're very proud of you for changing for the better. Just give it some time. Keep it up!

I sometimes click on a self-help video so that more of them will be suggested to me and then I'll have even more ludicrous nonsense to riff on in the future. It's more of a writing exercise than anything. "Write the problem down." lmao. You don't really want me to acknowledge what the problem is here, sir.
