    NOTES:
Charm is making other people feel important & valuable. Here are the 5 A's of Charm:
    1) Acceptance: Smile. Give unconditional positive regard.
    2) Appreciation: Say thank you on every occasion.
    3) Approval: Give praise to others. This makes you very likeable.
    4) Admiration: Complement them on a trait, acomplishment, an award or on appearance. Compliment small & big things.
    5) Attention: Create rapport w/ others. Listen to them intently. Focus on them. Take time before replying. (My add ons: Mirror them even-- an NLP technique. Practice empathic listening.)

About two years ago I stumbled upon your lecture entitled, "The Unbreakable Laws of Self Confidence" and my life was completely, as well as immediately, changed for the better by that single lecture. Since then, I have listened to many of your videos & lectures. Your work is very reliable & you have a wonderful way of delivery that makes this incredibly valuable information very palatable & easy to understand. You have helped me in more ways than you could ever imagine. I sincerely thank you for answering the call in your own life to help improve so many other lives. You will always be in my family's thoughts & prayers, my friend. :)

Thank you very much for this Brian. This has helped me to understand a former work colleague who cause me a lot or problems. He had the 5 Rs to Mastering Charmless Behaviour, these are as follows:-
1 - Rejection - Unconditional negative regard for everything.
2 - Rudeness - Never say 'thank you' and be offensive whenever possible.
3 - Resentment - Be jealous of others' abilities and successes.
4 - Rejection - Dismiss all actions of all others.
5 - Remoteness - Never think that anyone else has anything worthwhile to offer.
I am sure that most people will encounter some awful colleagues that they have to work with; when you do, just check out how many of the 5 Rs they are displaying.

I love what you said about making the other person feel important. It’s similar to when I tell my coaches that if they want to make someone do something, they need to let the other person know how this will benefit them. Once they realize how what you asked them to do will help them, they’ll do it freely for themselves. They internalize it.

I've been in a customer service position for the last 3-4 years of my career in banking, I've recently changed to sales. I'm still in training however, the skills that i picked up in customer service is somewhat similar to your 5 A's. I have managed to help senior sales agents sell our product, with 0 experience in the field of sales. Which to my perspective was quite shocking because, it means that customer service agents are more likely to excel in sales rather than sales agents. Due to the basic principles taught in both scenario's banking wise, although i have been in sales for a week I haven't recognized the difference until this video. Which is basically stating the key points that all CSR agents need/learn during the training face before product knowledge.
P.S. my opinion is bank related because, my studies are all bank related. Not to mention I have worked for 3 different banks within the last 4 years of my career.

My husband makes me feel important by often thanking me or complimenting me for something that I have done, such as cooking a nice meal or completing a large project at our business, but my favorite thing that he does is that he occasionally tells me that he is lucky to have me in his life and lists several reasons why. (They change each time.) It really makes me feel special and important and makes me want to do that much more for our relationship, our home, and our business.
And PS: I am the one who is lucky to have someone so caring and supportive in my life, and I tell him often.

I like this guy, very intelligent..no matter how i tried to be more skilled or know my stuff, i never climbed up simply becuase, my people skills werent that good...and i resented people who easily got what they wanted without seemingly working hard..now i understand...

What makes me feel important is when someone dear approaches me with this crazy enthusiasm and happiness to tell me what just happened or what went great in their day.
Also hate it when a person doesn't know how to receive a good compliment.A compliment isn't a time to show humility, that destroys a chance at creating a good relationship.
Also I feel important when someone shares everything with me-just me

Thank you for this video! :) As well as all the other videos you have uploaded here. I appreciate your desire to help others become the best versions of him/her self he/she possibly can. :)
My husband mentions to me every now and again how much we have grown as a couple since we first started dating in 2007. It makes me feel wonderful and want to strive to keep improving on every aspect of our relationship.
