Addiction is a spiritual disease, an addicted person must be willing to start the process of recovering by asking God for help and allowing God to take charge..full surrender..therapists play an important role as well because there's always a deep rooted cause why you are addicted..i.e childhood traumas , bereavement PTSD etc

    • @gss290
      @gss290 2 місяці тому

@@TessCarey addiction is genetic and with awesomeness we can break the pattern that layers in our coded genes and when the pattern is broken in our individual genes and then goes to be broken as well to the collective human consciousness!
Life itself is spiritual anyway but is good not to negligence the body and it complex construction and the spirituality of life hides or exists in the closest that called the body.
To understand the spirituality aspect then one have to start by understanding the body in the holistic glass.
A good teacher start to teach the students in the things they know and then go upwards!

I wonder why most of time people rush to the spiritual aspect? Can it be the spiritual christianity addition apon africans? Or the trauma of religion over the continet?

I suffered the consequences of alcohol addiction and i understand well how addiction can ruin ones life to thq extent of even causing death. My addiction resulted in me being permanently on a wheelchair due to spinal cord injury. While at the hospital i met a counselor who walked with me thru the process until i accepted my condition. After being discharged from the hospital i was interested in studying psychology so as to help others and also to understand how drugs end up ruining other peoples lives.

Hapo kwa telling lies, I relate. My brother once told his friend to inform us that he was dead and they needed money to transfer his body to the mortuary. My sister saw through their lies and politely told him to inform the police to help them transfer the body to the city mortuary, and we would follow later . The following day,my brother called saying he needed money urgently😂 . To cut the long story short, he's now saved and we are so grateful to God.

Addiction is when you have a strong physical or psychological need or urge to do something or use something. It is a dependence on a substance or activity even if you know that it causes you harm.
Enabler -a person who encourages or enables negative or self-destructive behaviour in another.

Addiction comes through various packages. It may be sexual, drugs (both and soft), alcohol, food, gaming, unhealthy eating and so on. Although most of the things are good, too much repetitive consumption is harmful and we describe it as addiction. Some addictions result from poor personal choices but others are a result of unwilling manipulation from the spiritual realms.
For easy understanding host pastor t he will give a deep teaching on this matter. Because I can't write an essay on how this issue is connected to the spiritual side.

We all are imprinted to addiction...because of the emptiness that layers in every individual...Just because some does not do drugs that don't mean their don't find other ways to feel that they have been relief for something.
Addiction is feeling relief from something for a shorted time and then for seeking of more...
With the awareness we can then exposé us to good stimulation for exemple creativity...good balance in workalik...and other ways that get us to find dopamin sources...working, running be in harmony with nature...environnement that loves us for what we are and not for what we do and etc!

As a medical practitioner and a believer, I approve most of what u said. But what I don't agree with u is u saying addiction has nothing to do with curses. That's not true. Addiction may have everything to do with possession and curses in certain cases (individuals). In religion death was a consequence of sin. It's therefore a curse we shall all face. It results mainly through diseases and disorders. Some of which are genetically predisposed to a race or family. Therefore some diseases and disorders have a direct spiritual origin. And this can be proven directly from Scriptures. Eg an epileptic who had a mute demon exorcised by Jesus and bacame well. Also a psychiatric who had a legion of demons, a person who got leprosy as a result of being cursed and so on. In association to addiction, we first have to consider the etiology. Some addictions are a direct consequence of one's lifestyle but not all are. Some are engineered in the spiritual realm where the enemies agents are attached to a certain bloodline to ensure a continued destruction or bondage. For example a certain blood line have familiar spirits or are witches or sorcerers and an individual is ordained to be the next successor but he/she refuses. What happens is they'll encounter spiritual harassment to a point that it becomes unbearable so as they are forced to take respond to their call. In the process one may dive into drug abuse henceforth addiction. Also they maybe possessed with demons that push them to addictions like jezebel spirits may lead to sexual addiction, mommon may lead to unhealthy love of money and so on.
For such indepth knowledge please listen to father carlos martins in the UA-cam series called the exorcist files. You'll be shocked. He has intensive knownledge pertaining this matters (addictions and spiritual relations). Though im not catholic, but i must give him credit when its due he's too got to start with.
Thank you for reading this long message.

@@dondony- I agree to disagree...I think it's wise to catégories subject by their concept...in this dialogue is all about to see things from the psychology of the mind rather than the spiritual one.
We all have the printed code of addiction and it manifestation in different forms. We live in the time where we catégories and give status to what is good or bad rather than acknowledge situation and things the way their are! We judge and label addiction by the instruments or substance we use to try to feel the emptiness we feel.
To understand what addiction looks like we then have to visit the brain! The brain gets the feel good even when you exposé alot to your mobile...in this case we can conclude that we all have addiction and awareness about it is get to be our protection...the difference is just that some people are more vulnerable to some kind of substance than other but that doesn't give anyone power to point out other...we are all in the same drama of life! And the papoose is to recognise those patterns so that we can awaken to the greater consciousness and recover and maybe heal from our human suffering and traumas we have as individuals and as collective!

@@dondony-I thank my parents because I wasn't raised being fed stories of witches a curses. That one is pure freedom. You grow knowing you are responsible for your own mess and no one else. Nothing can stop ypu from doing anything. Children raised with these kind of beliefs have a burden of fear for the rest of their lives. As a doctor it's a pity because education should enlighten people and stop them from primitive thinking.
