Excellent job explaining. I can tell you're really passionate about what you do, so keep up the great work, as I continue to follow your journey as I travel mines
I would like to enquire if the 5 mm polypropylene route is taken - do I need to manually fill , weigh and seal each and every bag? Is there anyway to automate this or some of the above ie, weigh fill and seal. Will the “candy melts” option mean I would have to purchase a weigh, fill and seal machine. I would really appreciate it if you could suggest an inexpensive reliable machine. Thanks for great video
I just came across this channel and am so glad I did! I am a mom of a special needs child who can only eat puree by mouth. Problem is, there is no such thing as nutritionally-complete, organic, hypoallergenic puree. Not even baby foods fall under all of those categories. I have come to the conclusion that since I need to make it myself, I may as well market it as a brand and begin to sell it. My biggest problem is packaging. How in the world would I package a puree so that it looks like more food than it is (6oz max), and not require refrigeration? (using natural preservatives). I'm stumped!
Hello Sarah THANKS for watching and the question to be honet with you about baby food preservatives that is one I am personally not familir with BUT here is a link to a site taht has co packing companies that make baby food for clients and they have the equipemnt to do it you may find some help here www.specialtyfoodcopackers.com/Baby-Food.html

@@oc4618 after posting this comment i was able to attend a seminar and answer my own question. I live in TN so each state law may be different but in TN you can sell food without a license of any kind from your home. This is viewed as catering which means you take down an order, prepare it after it has been ordered and deliver or have it picked up with intent that it will be consumed within 2 hours. Some special stipulations may apply and I don't want to guess what you are cooking so if you're interested to find out about specifics let me know what you are cooking because baked goods or pickled items among others have special considerations. You should also be able to contact your state's Department of Agriculture for their specific regulations and county health department for safety information.
Selling cooked food items are a little more of a challenge because you really can't do those types of items from home if that's for your starting you have to get a commercial kitchen and then produce them their just due to the laws
Thank you for the information! I saw your video about spices and was wondering if a person wanted to package a spice seasoning mix and you had something that was inside like a specialty mix from another company would you be allowed to use that rub or mix in your mixture?
Hola! I'm currently thinking about selling my homemade cookies, 3 (3in) very thin cookies per package. Any suggestions on the best size of packaging. Please help😕
Thanks for watching and yes we actually ship a pizzelle cookie which is a wafer-like cookie we shrink wrap them and then place them into a bubble mailer with a repack bag. This has allowed us to ship them without breaking for nearly 10 years. I can do a video on this ...
Well Frozen foods under cottage food laws are not allowed. This will be dependent upon your states law moat all state when it comes to frozen foods can not be made and sold legally from home
What would you use for a bar? It is a product with a brownie consistency and a rectangle shape, think of it as less than the palm of your hand. Thank you!
