Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. It’s also not as difficult as some people claim it is. People who lack managerial, leadership or financial skills always find it difficult but business requires a little bit of both or at least the willingness to learn.
Anyone who lacks the ability to communicate their objectives or manage, will have to hire a manager but even that will require communicating objectives.
Delegation is also an important aspect. 9-5 jobs are difficult for people who are not easy going. And business is even more difficult for such people.
Business is always difficult, for people who jump in without knowing what they’re doing, can’t tap into the mindset of their customer, want to micro manage and do not want to learn. Their setbacks do not stem from business but their personality type.

There’s more to life than working 70 hours a week. Having a huge financial portfolio is wonderful but a high net worth is only one definition of success. I didn’t care for how she insinuated that teachers and nurses are careers you “have” to do and are not successful…those are professions you are called to do; they might not make you rich but they impact a lot more lives than upselling Chinese-made sweat shop clothing.

People only see the glory and forget the sorry. Why do people buy from her instead of the Chinese factory directly? She accepts returns with free shipping. Then, how can her company handle excess inventory, return products, etc.? Also, how can her company take quality control in the shipment from China? That would be a high cost in her company's operation. Amazon has been learning this since the mid-1990s.

Who cares? What difference does it make? It’s meant to be inspirational, even if her husband makes $1M so what, won’t change anything for you.
