I would personally much rather do a van for easier accessibility and easier driving! And also because I just don't need much 🤪 but as a mom of 4 kiddos, ages 6-2 currently, we're going for skoolie life 🥰 LOVED this video!
As for me, I love the short bus but I can’t come to terms with the gas Mileage. As much as I like the sprinter I can’t come to terms of the cost of one. I’m leaning more towards a Toyota sienna or a Honda odyssey for gas mileage and cost of a van, resale value will always be there and I don’t have to have a perfect build. This video helped.
There are lots of pros and cons to each rig. The Toyota sienna is a solid choice for sure. The newer ones have awd and my moms got an 06 with over 180,000 miles so they’re reliable!
You guys are great but there’s quite a few misconceptions in here lol you can take a dualie in far rougher roads than a van unless it’s a 4x4 and the whole idea that a Sprinter van is stealthy is hilarious. It’s just not true lol I’m sorry. It’s obviously a campervan. You can put a shotgun seat up there. Buses are definitely louder though. 8 miles per gallon is only for 40 foot buses. Shorties do much better. Headroom, collins & most shuttles have plenty… I could go on and on but for me, I need more space. Team Skoolie fo sho
Thank you for this video - been going back n forth with my brother about this topic (along with wither I should get something similar to a road trek) so the back n forth with these different people and the information they are imparting is soo helpful!!!
Fun and informative!!! IDK I think a van is easier to drive etc. Skoolie is more room if you are living in it. I'm going for a short bus overall. Some drive like vans!!!
Great video...I currently have a bus and changing to a van. Bus is fabulous however going for van as more comfortable/easier to drive. Tho as you say...it doesn't really matter just get out there ❤ from New Zealand !
That’s right! At the end of the day it’s all about just getting out there and enjoying life. Vanlife in New Zealand sounds absolutely incredible and we’d love to try it someday!
Short bus all the way for me. Ive always road on the short bus lol... One thing about skoolies over vans the skoolie is very safe. Buses are built to carry kids so they are built for safety. Buses are built like a tank. They will last for ever if you take are of them. Also the Diesel motors in a bus are good for 500,000 miles and more so when buying a used bus with 150,000 miles on it is still almost like new. Vans are alot like buy a car in the way they are built for safety and motors aren't built for 500,000 miles. So in my opinion the bus is built much better then vans... Shot bus are pretty easy to find parking they fit just about everywhere a big van can But I don't like the way vans drive over a bus and the gas mileage is much butter then a bus. And a van blends in better then a bus... truthfully I love all buses Vans RVs Homemade campers anything you can live in and travel is all good🙂 Best wishes to you all have fun enjoy life and be safe....
Very good perspective! That’s something we didn’t add here. The safety aspect is really important. I️ think for a single person, a skoolie is a really good choice because everyone in the vehicle is strapped in. Thanks for watching!
I have actually watched every video you have made up to point / and this video was very informative and your editing is great and your music selection is spot on !
Fun and informative! I would have liked to see little tours of the skoolies... 🧐😍 good point, used school buses are initially WAY cheaper than a van! 🚌 🚐🤨🤔
I am definitely going with the school bus. It is much cheaper and bigger because I will have preteens with me. Great video!
There’s pros and cons to all rigs! Glad you liked the video 🤙🏼

Thank you! With kiddos we would go that route too

The skoolies definitely have so much h room!! You can’t go wrong really
Team Van all the way!

Love it!!
Van life all the way! But we might be biased because we’re in the video 😝
For sure biased but 🤷🏻♀️
Really fun to watch, van for easier travel.
We agree! But we’re biased haha
Matt you the Goat
Nah man that’s you 🤙🏼
Wow so informative thank you for this!!
No problem!

VAN ALL THE WAY! 🚐
Are the vans still an asset
Fun and informative! I would have liked to see little tours of the skoolies... 🧐😍 good point, used school buses are initially WAY cheaper than a van! 🚌 🚐🤨🤔
If we were still together we could have done some tours! But what you saw most of their layout in this video
Skoolies are Koolies
Hahaha that’s a good one
I was curious and hoping to find out the difference of insurance and other cost?
I️ believe as long as you have a toilet, you can get RV insurance for either but not 100% sure about the skoolie
Shuttle
Always a solid option!
Bus, cheaper
Definitely a lot cheaper
Ok so van lifers have some major misconceptions about schoolie life 😂
Vab
This video helps out a lot but I think I’m still leaning towards van life 😅🚐
Glad you found it helpful!
