A lot of this year’s sets at Sephora are priced out of my range. Brands are releasing larger sets at higher prices. I used to be able to buy a whole makeup routine with a 100€ (100$ approx.). Now I can literally buy three products because if they're cheaper they're usually either bad, unavailable in the EU or not cruelty free/questionable. The one issue I have with drunk elephant is that they say they are good for sensitive skin, but each product is loaded with oils and fragrance that are definitely not suited for sensitive skin 😂 so if your face can tolerate a lot of oil in a product (mine cannot) then it’s fine. Definitely luxury priced (over priced) but by no means a bad deal. I love Kopari. I've used their Marine Clean Purifying Gel Cleanser and their Ultra Restore Body Butter with Hyaluronic Acid every day for about a year now. I use the body butter for my aging hands too, and I use a bit of the gel cleanser as a clarifying and nourishing antioxidant/vitamin treatment in my hair, especially by the scalp once a week. I carefully check ingredients because I prefer double use products that work for my skin and hair. Like the Sonage Vitality Nourishing Facial Oil is actually even better as a hair oil treatment, but it's good for skin anywhere too. I also swear by putting a mixture of 30% micellar rose water, 30% rice water (I make mine from the leftover water after boiling rice at home and keep what's not in the mix in the fridge. Also leave a little bit of rice in it to strengthen it. You can even crush/blend them, especially once they're super soft.), 20% Clinisoothe Skin Purifier Hypochlorous Solution, and 20% of witch hazel into a continuous sprayer bottle. You can also add an additional 20% of a gentle alcohol free toner and/or a tiny splash/5% of glycerin to the mix. That magical solution can be put literally everywhere, both hair and skin, including down below, to fix and prevent so many issues that it's unreal. It's super hydrating, cleansing, and naturally antibacterial. Spraying it on is so refreshing, especially when it's hot out. A light spray won't destroy your makeup unless you rub it before it dries either. Or you can experiment with your own mix/percentages. To keep expenses at a minimum, I get most of my purchased beauty products through Ipsy's Boxycharm monthly subscription and the Ipsy shop so that everything is 30%-80% off. They have everything beauty related for $32 a month total for 5 full size products for their Boxycharm membership, which includes access to their online discount store. The Glambag isn't really worth it, it's mostly 5 minis/deluxe samples for $14 a month plus shop access, while their Icon box varies and is $60 once a season. 2 of your 5 products are curated for you, while you pick the other 3 from a list of options, then can shop the super discounted Add Ons and the Ipsy Shop for regular discounts. I always pick my monthly choices at noon every month on the first to minimize getting things that I don't want, but whenever that does rarely happen, I use them as gifts. Oh, and ALWAYS measure any beauty products by milligram or milliliters, as that's the only unit of measurement that's mandatorily and routinely accurate. IDK why, but it's true. So always judge by price per mg/ml of product. If you do subscribe and anything is ever broken or missing, just use the GlamBot on their page and they'll replace it for free, no questions asked. I am also too oily for the face glaze but I paid for it and ima use it so I actually use a different moisturizer in the center and put the face glaze around the outside and down my neck and it works that way.
I have the nars serum blushes. Personally i dont wear foundation much but today i did and i dont think it disrupts it. If anything it mixes with it. It is a light touch of colour if you like strong blush it's probably not the best but i think its buildable to some extent . I have combo skin and my cheeks get super dry in winter and it helps me not dry out( powder dries me out after a while) My feeling is that if you like korean cosmetics you might like these.
I might have slightly less oily skin than you do, but I like adding the face glaze mixed with a more oily girl friendly moisturizer in a small amount. I squeeze out a little line of it on my finger about 2” long and apply to each side of my face so I still get the glow but if I use enough of it to actually be my moisturizer it’s toooo much.
I mix a pump of Glossier Futuredew in w/ my usual lighter moisturizer on days where I want my skin prepped for makeup but it's too oily to tolerate a full layer of the Futuredew. My makeup sits so well over that product, tho, & it gives the most beautiful sheen. When it runs out, I'm def interested in that inN moisturizer - I just bought their Bright & Smooth Body Serum to prevent ingrowns & it's remarkable.
I’m so curious if the Drunk Elephant vaults are a big seller. I guess they must be if they keep releasing them every year, but you have to be really dedicated to the brand to spend that much on just a few months’ worth of products. And it’s not even a full skincare routine since it doesn’t include the sunscreen or a full size oil. That backpack makes it a definite no for me regardless. I don’t need another backpack laying around collecting dust. I wish brands would stop including bags and cases in their gift sets. It’s just clutter for me.
I do not think you're being cheap at all. I think you're being rightfully savage about these artificially inflated prices. These companies can make a lot of these products for literal pennies. The prices aren't justifiable, especially considering a lot of the labor, resources, etc aren't even ethically sourced. Why does "the norm" keep getting higher? 😒
The only vault I ever liked was the Too Faced 'Better than sex' mascara one. It had 4 mascara and 2 liners. I loved the mascara and it was around 60€. So you paid for 3 products and got the rest for free. But they unfortunately discontinued it in 2020. And the Glossy Posse is pretty cool. I don't wear a lot of gloss, but this one lasts me through the year. The Marc Jacob's value set with 2 mascara, a eye liner and makeup bag was also a good deal. It was 27-30€. I got 2 at a time and liked to gift the bag and 1 liner to friends.

As far as the sheet mask bonanza set I think it would be good for gifting if you give gifts to girlies pretty often or have a lot of Christmas bags/stockings to fill, or if you often host girls' nights and enjoy masking as part of those. Personally I would never use that many different masks on myself because I have a specific skin and hair type and only some of them will work for it so the variety pack seems like a natural choice for sharing. If I was hosting a bachelorette or making bridesmaid swag bags, for example, this would be great, or just to have in a basket in your home that you pull out for girls' night and everyone can choose ones that suit their own needs. Perfect for that, less useful for most individuals imo.
Belif always has amazing gift sets. They’ll put in a full sized moisturizer and sell the set at the same price as a full sized moisturizer ($35 ish), but then include like three decent sized minis. I don’t even bother to buy the regular moisturizer anymore I only buy it in a gift set because of all the extras!
I'm so glad you brought up the A Few of My Favorite Things set because that is all I could think about when you were talking about the lip injectors because I remember the plumping lip product in that was called Bee Sting and i remember how much it hurt!
Can you please please please do a tutorial/review of those Bobbi Brown Duos!!! I haven't seen anyone do one on them so I splurged and got the Midnight Toast one but I'm thinking about getting the other one too and I would love to see how you did your eyes in this video! You look so pretty 💜
Girl, please rec any and all hair stuff that's working for you. I have never related to you more than with this fine thin hair "rant" or whatever. XD I literally use the itty bitty rubber bands for my ponytails and I feel seen.
I got the Drunk Elephant trunk 4.0 a few years back. I loved it! I got a really good savings on it though. The Sephora sale, and paired it with a Rakuten-like discount/rebate, and a discounted purchase on a gift card with a Rakuten-like site, I think I got mine for almost 40% off after coupons and rebates (as a VIB, not Rouge!). PLUS it came with a really nice piece of Monos luggage, which I've used countless times because I never owned more than a duffel bag for travel before that.
If I didn’t have 4/5 of those Bobbi Brown sticks from the Eyes All Aglow kit I would have snapped it up! I hate thinking about how much I’ve spent on those things but I use them every day. I think the kit is a great selection of shades.
Second comment hahaha…the NARS liquid blushes are so pleasing to the eye and tempting, but my oily skin EATS these blushes. They fade soooo fast. For liquid blush Saie is way better imo.
I bought the Too Faced Pillow Balm set but haven’t opened it yet and haven’t decided if I am going to. 😂 I also bought a few of the Laniege lip sets because I ❤ their lip masks. Otherwise I did I buy the sets and end up decluttering most of the stuff lasted so I am trying not to buy as much this year. I get sucked into the fun of them and the “sale prices”.
Hey gorgeous I’m so drooling at some of those holiday sets not going to lie definitely waiting for rouge vib sale I like minis sets most of the time it’s a great way to try out products and lipsticks in all colors and then pick a full size of the favorite once but that’s just me plus mini size lippies fit great for travel and going out on girl night out 🤷🏼♀️ great video

Is the Oribe shampoo drying at all? I normally don’t even bother with volumizing shampoos anymore but I saw someone recommend the Redken one and it strips my hair and makes it a rat’s nest of tangles. I do have a ton of hair but it’s like dandelion fluff so no cute ponytails or buns for me. 🤣😞
Marking myself safe of buying any of these. Nothing worthy for me. My cart had like 5 items but I've been removing them since they have been rising their prices, suddenly everything is +4/5 dollars pricier. I'm purchasing everything at Shoppers with 20x points. The end.
Right on! I like how you phrased it, "nothing worthy" - literally it's not worth the money, but also a good reminder that we are worthy of good quality, affordable products and sacrificing financial health for this kind of stuff is ridiculous.

I have always been a Bobbie Brown devotee and I’m of the age that my skin is dry enough not to have cream eyeshadow of any kind melt off, unfortunately this does. I’ve been using Bobbi Brown since the 90’s and I’m sad to say these do not stay in any reasonable way. Ulta cream eyeshadow pencils are better imo.

And if you wait for the Sephora sale and are rouge (if you are willing to drop nearly $500 on DE you might be) it's 20% off and you get to pick the items. That is worth the 7% difference imo.
It is a good deal if it is the person's skin care of choice and they routinely use all of the products in the set.
The Clinique sets are always crazy value! They are usually full size lipsticks.
Definitely down for these holiday set/kit videos! Keep them coming! Loved it!
Also, I know it's corny, but I'm just going to post my personal code for anyone who might care to use it, all members get rewarded for their code being used.

The Clinique lip set is full size. I buy them every year. Super good value.
I love having your videos on in the background 🥰
I’m so curious if the Drunk Elephant vaults are a big seller. I guess they must be if they keep releasing them every year, but you have to be really dedicated to the brand to spend that much on just a few months’ worth of products. And it’s not even a full skincare routine since it doesn’t include the sunscreen or a full size oil. That backpack makes it a definite no for me regardless. I don’t need another backpack laying around collecting dust. I wish brands would stop including bags and cases in their gift sets. It’s just clutter for me.
I just received that holiday sparkly clean set today and I love everything in it. Really good value in my opinion
I was really impressed with the different brands and full size products in that kit!! Definitely a good one!!
I bought it too and same! It’s really the only one that interested me.
Got my eyes on that one 👀
I just got home from the store where I bought two Drunk Elephant kit's. I really love their products and I am happy to have them 😊
I do not think you're being cheap at all. I think you're being rightfully savage about these artificially inflated prices. These companies can make a lot of these products for literal pennies. The prices aren't justifiable, especially considering a lot of the labor, resources, etc aren't even ethically sourced. Why does "the norm" keep getting higher? 😒
This is really helpful. I tell people all the time if you’re already in the market for something then try it! Otherwise save your money🤷🏻♀️
For the Kopari body cream set, I use them as hand creams in my bag! I get super dry skin on my hands.

Am I going to buy any of these products? No. Still enjoyed the video.
Can’t stop looking at your eyeshadow combo! What is it?!
I was so bummed about this year's Lip Set. Last year's was so amazing, and this year is lame o.
Second comment hahaha…the NARS liquid blushes are so pleasing to the eye and tempting, but my oily skin EATS these blushes. They fade soooo fast. For liquid blush Saie is way better imo.
Half of the shades don't show up on me and I have medium tone skin so that's another thing for people to consider when purchasing
I bought those glosses already and a set of 3 mini tree hut scrubs at Ulta.
The too faced liquid lip balms are soooooo good!
I still think about that Favorite Things palette from Too Faced - I missed out, but never again!! 😂
I definitely have my eyes on that Sephora favorites “clean” beauty set.
I love the shade lol
sephora employee, the hourglass plumping gloss balm is wayyy better than the tarte ones
"Beware of the mini lipsticks".🙌🏻
I buy the Clinique lipstick set each year. They are great! They are full size :)
There is 4 full size products in the clean kit. I got it. The lipgloss, the airbrow, the lipstick, and the blush.
Boy am I glad I watched this video before buying the premium calander for my girls for xmas
Can ulta come to Canada already? I can’t order from them,I get duty when I order any American site and pay 800 for a palette after ship and conversion or I have Sephora Canada which is always sold out of everything. Ughhhhh 😂
I am tempted to get the too faced pallette. I do collect them almost every year. Inreally want to smell it!
This was such a great video! Thank you for doing this. And you always make things so fun. I have the same views as you do about these sets. Lots of fun and laughs as well!❤
I just love your videos!
I really want the Tart liquid liquid kit, but I’m going to test my luck and try to get it on markdown after the holidays.
I have been using the bright and tight eye cream for about 2 months. It's just ok. I haven't noticed much difference yet so I'm meh about it 😂
Same
@@ashligannon glad it's not just me!
Thank you for your thoughts on the eye cream!
I want the too faced lip balms!!! The banana one is my favorite but I want to try those other ones soooo bad.
This eye look 👀❤️❤️ tell me it’s the nd I need a nude💀
Marking myself safe of buying any of these. Nothing worthy for me. My cart had like 5 items but I've been removing them since they have been rising their prices, suddenly everything is +4/5 dollars pricier. I'm purchasing everything at Shoppers with 20x points. The end.
Right on! I like how you phrased it, "nothing worthy" - literally it's not worth the money, but also a good reminder that we are worthy of good quality, affordable products and sacrificing financial health for this kind of stuff is ridiculous.
@montananerd8244 exactly and its not like we NEED make up for survival haha
@@EloisaMontesdeOcaTV Eh, technically there are some jobs where you literally need to wear makeup as part of the requirements, but I'm just being nit-picky here 😁
@@raerohan4241 Im pretty sure thats illegal where i live so the only job i can imagine that requires owning some makeup is working as an MUA lol
@@avr7120 So people in your country's media, entertainment, and fashion industry can choose to be without makeup while on the job?
Lauren, what are you wearing on your lips? It’s beautiful!
Those Estee Lauder glosses look like the Ellen Tracy stuff you always see at TJ Maxx. I'm sure they're great but they look so.... private label.
I would love love love a video on different lip plumpers (especially tinted)-my favorite one changed their formula to a super cool toned mauve gray and it just doesn’t work anymore :-( Help!!
13:09 the best sheet mask i’ve ever tried was literally from h-mart 😂
I have always been a Bobbie Brown devotee and I’m of the age that my skin is dry enough not to have cream eyeshadow of any kind melt off, unfortunately this does. I’ve been using Bobbi Brown since the 90’s and I’m sad to say these do not stay in any reasonable way. Ulta cream eyeshadow pencils are better imo.
Those ilia blushes are rly nice. J.s.
In my opinion the two faced lip plumpers arent worth it because you can find the full size plumper at certain marshalls for $10
Love this series
Exciting video!!! ❤
I can’t even afford a singular product from a high end brand much less a vault 😂
The melon lip oil smells like cantaloupe to me lol, def wished it was more of a “holiday” scent instead of another fruity one but I still like it. The cherry one smells like scooby doo fruit snacks imo, love that one for sure!
My prediction is that Rare Beauty is the next to come to Ulta. I sure hope that is right! 😂
