You captured lonesome lake and the white mountains so beautifully- thank you. I live here now and my girls have gone twice with their school and I can see why their Waldorf School chooses lonesome lake every year…thank you.
Beautiful video. Good cinematography. Great background music. Breathtaking views. Well done. Glad UA-cam suggested it for me. You just got another subscriber.
Crampons and an ice axe is a necessity for getting to and throughout the alpine zones in New England. It's probably a good choice to change your mind about hitting that 4000 footer . Stay safe and enjoy.
For sure! While Cannon doesn’t have the exposure or alpine areas that the presidentials do, in certain conditions you do still need crampons and seeing what I saw, turning back was right for me. A group of 12 middle school girls and their moms made it up and back in just spikes the next day, though. 😅there’s all different experience and comfort levels out there!
Nice video and you made the right choice turning back when you were uncomfortable with the trail. More folks should listen to that inner voice. Great photography, will enjoy watching your future hikes,
Thank you so much for hanging out! I’m kinda getting sold on this winter thing haha too bad it was a quick one this season, hope you get to enjoy some of that magical season there sometime!
I don't blame you for bailing on that trail. Definitely don't want to push it in rough conditions. It's been quite a few years since I stayed at one of the huts in the winter - such a fun way to enjoy them and much more laidback then the full service season. Great video!
Thank you 😊 that recent snow got me back out in the Whites this week, and I love it, but those slush puddles on some of the final climbs or ridges (looking at you Pierce to Eisenhower) are not my fave 😆 still so beautiful, how can we resist??
The right decisions are often the most difficult. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you ☺️
my dad and i love this hike and have been talking about doing it during the winter and this video sealed the deal for me. great job and thank you!
Hands down, go get it 🙌🙌

Wow that was terrific ! The white mountains can be dangerous from what I read. You did really good.
Thank you 😊 definitely mountains and an area that deserve respect

Thank you! Totally agree. I really enjoy having a little more of the place to myself, even if it’s covered in snow and freezing 😁
awesome video my friend
Thank you, friend 🤗
I live in the Whites and the trails have been gnarly recently. You made the right decision, especially solo. Beautiful video
