your so much better than me at controlling the Lyra, I stuggle with it lol thanks for the layra4 demo, nice video (but maybe just switch off the auto focus on your camera)
Was on the fence about the Lyra 8 for a while and when this came out with the better price point/smaller form factor I preordered right away…..just got mine in the mail what an awesome device. Pairs well with the pulsar 23 :)
Interesting Would you keep both? I think they would play together very well 🙂 Thank you for the introduction 👍 ah... got to the end of your video before I finished my comment... If you can't keep both, and you already have the 8, I would return the 4 Okay, 4 takes up less room but listening to this demo and what I know of the 8, I personally would have to make room for the 8 good luck
Thank you! I don't know, I'm on the fence: I miss the audio input and the double delay line from the L8 but I really like the smaller size (and reduced complexity) of the L4... But I guess there are worse problems to have :)
@@abregegere hmmm... decisions decisions... and as you say, worse problems than this I hope you find a way to keep both 🙂 it would be awesome to have one bubbling along as a drone/backing synth while performing the other
Sorry I tend to not use the distortion that much (FM already gives me plenty of grime). As far as I can tell, the circuit (and the sound) is the same as in the Lyra-8
There is a highly regarded ambient composer, KMRU, that uses the Lyra-8 as his primary instrument across a number of releases- check it out for just one idea of how to compose with this as a sound source.

Thank you! And yes, I do have to figure out how to handle manual focus on my camera. I hope I did not give you a headache!

Great !🙂
Thanks! 🙂
Great!
Now please pair it with the bigger brother
Oh, the cuckoo mirror.

Why not just get an Elmyra2? Even smaller form factor but more features.
Using the distortion for more than 10 seconds in a 23 minute video would have been nice

Maybe ask nicely next time instead of being sarcastic about it.
Confused how you would even use this in a song. Or is it almost more like just for making goofy noises
